thanks mate.

doh! simple fix that worked.

cheers:blush:
No Problem!

I also played Barca last night in the CL final with my Bayern Munchen team. I tell you, it was tough! They held good position but so did we. They only managed to get 4 shots on goal and we got 5 but one of mine went in. 1-0. It was a very enjoyable experience!

I've been thinking about switching to Top Player from Professional as well! The game is a little easier now, but it's the good kind of easier because now the AI plays fair. I still manage to get some draws and some losses though. I'm gonna go ahead and switch to Top Player to day, yeah! I hate how Konami's idea of a higher difficulty is by affecting the AI's stats and making them run, shoot, defend and do everything else better than you instead of making the AI more "intelligent."

Just applied the patch and played a few games with my ML team. What a wonder! It completely changed my view of the game around. Kinda reminds me of PES6 back in the day.

I tried out the patch now and my impression is that it "pacifies" the AI a great deal, making it what I would call somewhat cautious and non-aggressive (kind of like castrating a male cat).

I tried to play Inter v. Milan (me being Inter, difficulty being top level/the hardest) with and without the patch. I won both times, first with 3-0 (no patch) and then with 2-0 (default AI). What struck me however was that with the patch applied the AI was completely harmless - it wasn't even close to scoring as opposed to the default AI which had some good, qualified chances and was very close to equalizing on a number of occasions.

I compared the stats also and what stood out was that with the patch applied the AI only had managed 4 shots (3 on goal) as opposed to 7 shots (4 on goal) for the default AI.

Even more remarkable was that with the patch applied the AI committed 7 fouls (1 offside), i.e. gave away a great number of free-kicks. The default AI though committed only 1 foul consisting of an offside-offense - hence was defending more or less flawlessly.

If anything the game with the patch applied reminded me of playing against a mediocre human opponent and I didn't feel as good about scoring as I usually do where you're like "YES! Got you, you f*cker!".

Personally I think I prefer to play with the default AI as I like a good challenge, as frustrating as it may be sometimes.

Nevertheless it would be really interesting with some in-depth information about what the patch actually does/removes. Also, maybe it would be possible to release different versions of the patch so you can choose yourself what specific scripts you want to keep/have removed?

Finally I would like to send a big greeting to the developer of the patch for doing his best to improve the game we all love (to hate ).

i'll say this is definitely a must try with the new patch.

hmm. interesting.but, somewhat is the contrary of what i'm experiencing in Top Player..but i'll play a little more today.. i wish we could have direct feedback with the developer of the patch, it will make a great 2 ways work!!!

BTW there is a new update, i'll see if i can get it, but my contact is ignoring me!! :D

Try playing on Top Player. The AI should close you down a lot.

Hmm, that's how it felt for me when I was playing on Profressional, but it was much harder on Top Player. Try playing on Professional and then again on Top. Maybe there's a glitch in the patch or something.

try this: http://www.multiupload.com/AV8CHE229Y

it is the no-DVD 1.01 patched with the latest komu's gameplay patch.
Also included is pes2011.orig (unpacthed 1.01 no-DVD) so you can apply future patches.

i don't know if this will work for ya..but it is worth a try...

Thanx dude!!!
I've used 1.0.5. patch that has .exe inside and it works....
Anyway, thanks very much...

I just want to say that I've tried the patch on 5 games on new ML with newcastle (just to try).
Yes - AI is less dangerous, but the feeling that I have finally that i'm controlling my player and passes, is much more better...there is a difference, you can just sense it!!!!
It's like there is no much scripting as it was, and that of course makes AI less dangerous, but it makes game in ML more playable...
Still, computer did score 2 goals against me that were totally realistic, not as it was earlier, that my players stood in place....And my goals were totally realistic...and the passes are going where you want them, like there is no more AI guiding in it....

Congratulations fellas.....

I will try to play more games and have better perspective so I can post here how the patch is affecting the game....

Thanx one more time, maybe you save the game!!!!

Finnaly had time to implement this patch and have to admit, I'm glad to be playing back on Top Player again. The scriping is all but gone and my team's AI is drastically improved so much so that the bad cursor switching doesn't seem so bad although that will always be there.

Had to start my master league from day 1 again but that's no major problem, Guzierrez being my saviour once again,

It's not just my players that seem to be aware of what's going on around them when with or without the ball defend or attack, but the CPU opponent AI is much better also making games, dare I say it, more realistic. They defend 1-0 leads when under the cosh and go guns blazing when 2-0 down.

I can not thank you guys enough for this little patch, that has made a game that had so much potential into a master-class of virtual football genius.

The beers are on me.... unfortunately I have left my wallet at home.....I'll get the next one....honest ;)

Funny enough I haven't noticed lately the cursor switching issue either, maybe due to the fact that my defenders seem to be more "aware"??

Also i noticed my strikers are not caught up (in the run) by defenders so easily as before, still happens , but not all the time and not so unrealistic as before.

This may be obvious but...

With the update do i need to do anything else with the pre-patched version than backup and overwrite the existing pes2011.exe, or do i need to add the included DLL and ORIG file too, since i get a program exception when running.

copy the dll to the pes2011.exe folder too (its mandatory) , thats the reason of the exception when running it.

I just gave this patch a test run. It's simply brilliant! It just reinvents the game and makes it so much more enjoyable.

@komu: Mate, you managed to do something that I thought was impossible. To tamper so extensively with the exe. First time I played PES that I didn't feel cheated. Every goal the AI scored was fair and square. Much appreciated.

I've playing BAL with the patch (havent tried other game modes yet) but I noticed improvements instantly:

- The defenders no longer screw around in defence (smacking it into touch when they can just as easily knock it forward - this dosen't happen anymore, instead they pass straight to mid-fielders where immediately possible)...
- ...Because of this, I have also scored alot more goals as team-mates pass the ball to my player more frequently
- Defenders (of the opposition team) no longer have psychic powers (predicting runs and 'somehow' being in the right place to intercept passes)

Just tried 1.05 after playing 1.01 for a couple of days.

In 1.05 I can pretty much say that the AI is broken.
They are unable to make any kind of build up play, and loose every single divided ball, they also don't shoot.
I played 4 games in 1.05 and the AI averaged 2 shots against me.... in all the games I was winning every ball and never looked like conceding... won 3 games by 2-0 and one by 3-0.
Also, most of my goals were crapy ones. GK out of position, and generally weak goals (balls that should be saved).

I don't like this 1.05 version.
It has dumbed down the AI.

EDIT:
The only plus is that the player forms seem to be fixed... no longer have 14 guys with purple arrows.

I can't praise enough this patch, but I tried before version 1.02 and yesterday 1.05. I also felt that 1.02 was a bit more solid, though maybe it's just paranoia creeping in that as finally pes is working great, a new addition will flip everything to wrong way again :p Still I wouldn't call it "broken" as bite.me there.

The cool thing in 1.05 was clearly that AI was playing much better a cup match against me though! I won every game but the cup match in version 1.05

Well, i have played like 15 matches with 1.05 (yeah, I played PES 2011 like a maniac this weekend :D )..and my overall view is that this last patch is absolutely great!!

from my 15 matches i won 8 and lost 4 (bear in mind my team is now almost completed with high ranked players).
All the games were fair and fun, but there is a huge difference playing with lower ranked teams vs high ranked teams.

Lower ranked teams: i can put much more pressure on them and they don't have many goal opportunities (5-7 shots / match)

Higher ranked teams: this is a whole different story, i have been abused mostly by barcelona and madrid (of course), they made more than 20 shots/match and many more dangerous approaches.
But i also had very interesting matches again middle ranked teams.

Also I must add that i play a very aggressive 4-3-3 with a forward defense line, but i change that when playing with teams with fast strikers.

So, after testing all patches, I'll stick to 1.05 till something better comes along.. :)

okay, so after a good 15 or so games, i can say that there is something a bit weird with the patch. after about 10 games, the CPU gets really overpowered just like before except its to the point where it's basically impossible to win. i lost 5 games in a row on my ML on Top Player without scoring once, even against weaker teams. so i quit the game, deleted the patched exe, and then repatched my backup. Seemed to fix everything, as I next won 6-0, then 1-0, and then i stopped to write this and repatch again. When the CPU gets overpowered, through balls don't work like they should and everything gets weird. With the patch working, through balls are beautiful, as are long balls. So I guess there are still some bugs with the patch. Just thought I'd let you guys know.
