Instructions:
1) restore your backup/original pes2011.exe
2) apply the patch

Changelog:
- Totally removed AI scripting dependence for players form in game.
- More realistic player behavior (top players should behave and perform like top players and differentiate from mediocre players)
- Players get to the end of the match in better shape (PES default made em look like zombies with 20 minutes left!!)

One thing I noticed is that my defenders actually seem to think about whether it's a good idea to kick the ball out of play or not. Before they didn't hesitate to kick it into some poor fans face in the stands.

Also, I managed to play against a team that has many players that are better than my BAL and they didn't have any problems beating me to loose balls or push me off the ball. So in my experience this isn't something that makes the game easy. The game was tough and we only managed to muster out a weak goal in the 86th minute for a win.

When I run it I get a "file already patched or wrong filesize"-message and I haven't patched my game except that I updated it to v1.01 (Konami's official patch).

Anyone else gets this?

I tried v1, v2 and v3 of the patch - same message all along.

I am from Sweden so I assume I have a European version of the game.

AI scripting fix problem

I've tried all 3 versions of this fix and can't run it.
Keep getting the message "Windows cannot access the specified file...etc. You may not have the appropriate permissions...."

I am obviously running windows 7 and I've tried turning off user control etc.

Any ideas?

I just started my ml offline (very beginning & top player) and managed to win both first matches which quite surprised me. I've been playing ML with a friend before though, but it felt much harder then.
Though the AI did play both matches fair, thats true, clearly no "cheating" against me there which felt nice.

Make sure you add it to your antivirus' exception list. I had to do that on my pc.

it is the no-DVD 1.01 patched with the latest komu's gameplay patch.
Also included is pes2011.orig (unpacthed 1.01 no-DVD) so you can apply future patches.

Played a few more offline ML matches and feels more like this yes. And now in my feeling crappy teams are really crappy so there might be bigger gap between good and bad teams, which is also great.

Overally I feel quite satisfied of this fix, it really removes some frustrations and the game feels more "reasonable"! Though in time game might come a bit too easy, so I'll save my original "cheatingAI" -exe for the day when it happens big hand to the developer!

Now we are tuning the real gameplay deep into the AI (both AI CPU and player AI mates).
The play should be more intelligent with better more realistic game build up. AI will react in a more realistic way to how game strategies are being played, both position and passing are tuned.
Funny enough, I just enabled parts of the code that were unused due to coding malpractice.
Looks like KONAMI left all the ingredients for an excellent game but they refused to make it right??? (smells like a commercial trick)

NOTE: The result of the patch is that AI will participate on a more intelligent way on the game, this is a subtle change that should improve the gameplay a lot. But don't expect miracles, the game is what it is.

nope, they are not, you have to restore the original pes2011.exe file and patch for every new version, so all new patches include all the prior patches features.

my impressions: I tried last patch v1.04 and I must say it was the most impressive gameplay i have experienced in new generation PES.
I just played in my ML vs Barcelona, and the match was pure joy!! what an amazing play by Barcelona!! (no cheating bullshit)..just intelligent high pressure game...i have never seen the CPU AI play like that..EVER!!
Before the patch playing Barca was like playing a bunch of fast guys waiting exploit the switching issue at the minimum opportunity.

Also i noticed a vast difference when playing vs lower teams... looks like with the patch the teamwork is more noticeable and the team ranking have much more importance for the gameplay than just the individual players ranking.

I play now in "Top Player" difficulty (since pro with the patch seemed a little easier than before).. but now i can say this patch made PS 2011 a whole new game for me.

Registered just so I could say thanks. This patch is amazing. It completely changed the infuriating AI behavior both on and off the ball. Also thanks for posting the updated pes2011.exe file, as I cannot patch it manually, even on a fresh install.
