Not than I'm aware of ... I don't think that feature has been on PES for sometime either. A level harder than Top Player would be impossible! What would they call it? Deity? :D

Yes, superstar was on PES 2009 and 2010 I think, and 6* has existed on the old games.

Sminky, have you ever played any of the Civ games? Deity was a difficulty level on Civ 3 (hilariously, not the hardest one either).

Yeah there was a level 6 difficulty. But, it doesn't matter how many levels there are, as long as the difficulty is about the same at the highest level. It's like saying "this amp is better because it goes up to 11" ;)

It's interesting to hear people have this opinion. It explains why there is no 6th star, and why the difficulty being as it is has not yet been addressed by Konami.

To me the #1 thing I would improve on PES 2012 for would be adding an increased difficulty level. Absolute #1 priority for me.

I think that there has to be an acceptance of how hard a game can be I mean do we want the computer to start pulling out light sabers and slicing our legs off? I think the game needs more emphasis on better tacticts for both me and the comp,

There needs to be a difficulty where the AI challenge you sice the demo i thought i want challenged enough just found it harder to score.

I would like the game to get harder, but in a realistic way where the game still respects stats. I don't want konami to go down the EA route of creating unrealistic pressure just to make the game feel harder. To make the game more difficult I set myself rules, I only use manual pass and default pass, no through ball, I also only use manual cross and I play in broadcast camera, played like this its the most challenging football game since PES last gen(for me anyway) recent PES games have been a piece of piss to beat the AI. I don't even have to tell myself to play like this anymore, just happens naturally.

Taking a break from the game, I came close to twatting myself in the face 10 minutes go, decided it wasn't worth it, ended up in a weird pose gritting my teeth whilst clenching my fist, at least I fought the tears back. This game is so fucking frustrating, its ruined my chill out night:laugh:

To my own surprise it actually helps to vent on this thread.

You really do have some anger issues!

You could always use the PES Rage thread to vent, that's always my go-to place.

If you're having a chill out night.... do NOT play PES! Play Flower (if you have a PS3), or Limbo (XBox)... or something like that.

Im starting to wonder why im bothering with BAL, im going ape shit every game every single thing the AI teamates do is so bad, i swear individuality doesnt exsist in this mode, its so painfull to watch 2 teams play each other and your the only normall one on the pitch, i rage quit earlier and considering playing fifas be a pro.

That line is the funniest thing I have read on any type of forum. I have been been spitting-laughing at that every few minutes for over an hour - I had to come back and read it again.

I find that with BAL you need to think how many times real players get annoyed at their team mate making the wrong decision (think Berbatov or Rooney shouting at Nani when he at the start of last season when eveytime he would shoot over the bar or play the wrong cross when they were in space). Something ive found is never call for a pass it seems to just confuse the AI & they get tackled. Instead just make yourself avaliable in space & they will pass to you (not always, but most of the time). You still get times when you wish they had played the ball to you earlier, but ive scored plenty of goals where ive timed a run into the box & recieved the perfect pass/cross.

Personally I play more BAL than any else (apart from edit mode, if only you got trophies for that :) ), I find it good fun

I kinda get what you're saying. But they're a lot worse than bloody Nani

One of the main things that frustrates me, is that whenever a teammate enters the opposition's box, he feels inclined to shoot, not matter how daft the angle is! I could be in acres of space in the middle, in a position where even Cristiano Ronaldo would pass me the ball, but my team mate would still shoot.

Have to admit, not dabbled in BAL yet. I'm hitting MLO hard at the mo, put some serious time into it. Was floating from formation to formation to find a good fit for my team, used the Liverpool 3-5-2 the Eygpt 3-5-2 the Boca 4-4-2 but found I was conceding far too much space in midfield with no width.

I hate using 4-5-1 systems (4-2-3-1 essentially) but have to admit since switching to the default 4-2-3-1 and moving my forward Holman left of centre I've seen alot of improvement. I drew 0-0 with a div2 team, I beat a div3 team and I'm now churning out victories against div5 teams.

I'm finding cheapy players and then comparing them to what I would buy and seeing where the real value is. I bought Batlles for about £800k and Clement for £600k neither players are world beaters but they have decent condition and decent stamina. The average stamina and condition level of my team is 85 and 6 now, it makes a massive difference. It might be fun buying great technically gifted players but by the 60th minute they tend to be fucked because they have 4 for condition and 70s for stamina. Case in point Carlos Eduardo, tidy player but has less stamina than I do! I replaced him with Jarolim, 85 Stamina 85 Dribbling, perfecto!

So my tips for the day, Stamina over style and make wise use of uber cheap signings despite their frailities they have some decent player cards which augment them nicely (Fetfatzidis of Olympiakos for example)

Sminky - are you still sticking to your same tactics of frustrating the opposition? Because it really didn't work against me
