I'm so glad I've taken a break from PES. Over a week now with no withdrawel symtoms
PES Rage definitely took it's toll on me. Especially on my controller, I've had to order a new one because the left stick has gone a bit loose, which has happened over time, but is probably a result of Rage.
The next time I play PES will be when the update comes out, but I won't go online.

Dead Space 2, LBP 2, Killzone 3 mainly.

I'm almost through my 2nd controller on PES 2011...

I can hear the little broken bits wandering around inside it....

LOL I always used to get that in the PS2 days. I guess I've calmed down a little.

Also LOL @ 'almost through' as if it's a just about playable frame of wires with some plastic hanging off it.

never in my life I was thinking of writing a this kind of a post. First of All let be clear, I'm a die heart fan of PES since the begginnigs and I adore the game. For it's beauty of the passing the ball the movement and the creativity. All of this I composed into a wonderfull machine called passing game and Goal goals goals. All this years I've been waiting for a new release and finally I tought this should be a ground breaker game becouse 2010 was a little anoying for AI game cheating. But now, I have another opinion...

THIS F**** GAME IT?S A DESCRACE FOR A KONAMI..I just can'tget to play normally. From passing to fouls and goals done from the AI on me and let's not beggin with the L1 button becouse everytime AI get's a deep pass my defender cursor is on the wrong one or it won't switch to the right one!!! fucking awfull game.Everytime i want to play the masterL I start on a good mood, after two games I want to break sony playstation and it's konami shit!!! It's crap from word GO or should I say P.. E....... 2011. From all the Pro evo's i have this is the worst one..computer is faster then me, it tackles me without foul + I always get an injury (I barelly touch him, I get a yellow card) When I colide with opposite player (AI) he get's up in a split second, my player needs a fucking minute AAAAARGHHH..Not to mention L1 button it's always on another player ARRGHH, how many times this L1 button cost me a goal or not score one.. A fucking malaga attacker can drible my entire defence I can't get trough just one..And I'm playing wih Barca all the time. Do at konami at all test the game before they release it?!

Plus not to mention how easy is to miss an open goal countless times. I'm not saying that it should be easy to score a goal, but com'on I'm not that bad at game and I'm definetlly not blind.. AI does not have a single shoot on my goal, like Arsenal for example and the AI get a goal in some sarastic fashion, my player kicks the ball into own net, or they do have one attack a they score from bouncing of a defender or I just can't stop the atacker...Oh did i tell you that I play possesion game, i have a 66 - 70 % of ball in my feet.. now do the math how many times he AI has the ball in a 10 minute game..

Fuck PES 2011 and it's entirely staff. I have lost so many nerves over this game that I'm considering not to buy another sequel of this wonderful game..

This game is a discrasse for Konami. If yu want your fans to play your game, change it.

Had a bout of PESitus last night, nothing was going my way, my passes were shit and I started to feel the vain in my head pumping, luckily the transfer window came and now all is well:laugh:.

Seriously though this game goes through something like PMT, one minute its fucking hideous then you love it again.

I'm buying players with high responsiveness yet I'm still finding it tricky sometimes getting them to run to the ball at critical times. Not ruining my experience since rediscovering the game however.

In D2, i lost a quick match against a D4 player who didnt have a single shot. i had 17 shots, 12 on target and no goals, he scored an own goal when my defender pinged the ball back over my goalkeeper from the halfway line. couldnt get a goal for love nor money...

That's extremely unlucky, but it's how PES works sometimes.

My controller almost bore the brunt of this lunacy. Only goal in a tight league cup semifinal match. I'll let the video speak for itself :realmad:

You can't account for stuff like that, seriously. Just put it down to one of those games, calmly put the controller down, and kick the dog or something.

The height of my frustration in this PES came a while back when I lost a 3 nil first leg lead, to some of the funniest goals conceded from corners you'll ever see. The first two were bullet headers from some dwarf who out-muscled Carragher and Agger, the third and the equaliser was a corner, where the ball pinballed everywhere - the game just would not let me control anything as it ultimately, through AI sheer force of will hit everything before trickling over the line. The winner was hilarious. After, two failed one on ones from my red arrowed Torres, who suddenly became like Timmy Mallet in front of goal, their striker hit this weird, strange kind of looping shot from about 20 yards, with defenders in the way, which kind of drifted over Reina who had taken up position about 8 yards from goal.

It was the most staggering sequence of events to date. Konami would NOT let me progress to the last 8, by hook or by crook. I smiled through gritted teeth, pouted for three days vowing to never play again, then we made up and all was forgotten!

Absolutley disgraceful, seriously, im playing league mode on top player at the moment and this kind of stupid shit happens to me too, its getting to the point now where I try not to get angry and make the best of it, but if If see this shit in PES 2012........words cannot explain how angry i will be.

I am starting to find the game boring.

There hardly seems to be any goals in matches I play?! I play top level but most the time it's just dull, lifeless dross served up.

The computer hardly has any chances or shots and neither do I. I started a new league last night and after 7 league games, I've scored 5, conceded 0.

What happened to the days of 4-3 and 3-2's on PES5 and PES6. At least in those games the computer would have a go at me and try to score but in this game it's just boring me.

I've really tried my hardest to love this game and at times I have. But when you have Gabriel Agbonlahor, down the right wing, up against a big, stocky European defender who he skins for pace - yet the defender ALWAYS catches up - you just sit there and think, nah - that is a joke.

I make a proposal for PES12. Bollocks to all these new 'link feints' etc... Dig out the match engine from PES5 and PES6. Add a few new animations then LEAVE IT LIKE THAT. It's a shame that it's so stupidly hard to edit the game yourself because I'd have just stuck with one of them older games.

I am tempted to go back to FIFA 10 for a bit. I don't see a massive issue with having - whisper it quietly - 2 FOOTBALL games to play on. People don't just play BLACK OPs and no other 'fighting' games so to speak. There are flaws in both series, but at least on FIFA top level, I get the sense 1. I will see the computer make an effort to score. 2. There will be goals and 3. Not every game is a dull scrap edged by a single strike.

Maybe, I am just growing old (27) and my time of 'gaming' is given way to things that really matter in life. But, I'd still love to see a PES I enjoyed as much as PES5 or PES6.

The days of us caning the games like we used to is over, my prime was pes 3-6. I used to cane that shit for hours and hours and was acutally pretty good, since final year of uni came along in 2007, my gametime started to drop, when mrs tech came along, i was never the same gamer again.

I've been playing PES6 again lately, it's so fkin good. Better than I remember. Had a 3-1 game against Arsenal yesterday, tactically, I shafted them.

Everything about the game I love, the build up play can be slow, and then frantic, you can defend, no cheesy cheat AI through balls, all CPU goals I've conceded so far have been some great play, love the long balls, love the keepers, love the shooting, love the responsiveness. I could go on.

That 3-1 yesterday, don't be fooled, I was sh1tting myself all second half and the scoreline slightly flattered me. Every time Walcott had the ball and started running at my side backs there was danger. Every time Henry had the ball, they looked deadly. I was 2-0 up and then went defensive counter, perhaps a little too early, the next 70 minutes was constant pressure from them and great defence from me. But finally their possession told, and at 2-1 they were rampant, I scored a break away goal in the 87th to put the game to bed, but they royally worked me over.

In PES2011 I never felt that feeling in your gut against anybody, Ribery, Ronaldo, Messi, nobody would scare me.

PES6 hits everything right in my book. CS Sedan are one of my bogey teams because of Maurice Belay I think his name is, causes carnage every game I play them because of his strength and his ability to hold the ball up on chest etc. Every team has someone you should be wary of.

But what a game that was yesterday, haven't felt that pressured for a while.

I agree that PES06 was the best in the series.

Shame they couldn't be arsed with the 360 version, otherwise I'd get it. I've actually got my PES06 in the shed, along with the PS2.

Trouble is I am a stickler for an up-to-date option file. If the Prem kits were all ok, I'd dig it out and have a go, but I'd need to edit it all (again) as I can't play with fake kits and players.

I also sold my max drive when converting to next gen, so will have to give it a swerve I think.

I might give PES11 one final go. I'm going to see if I can 'tweek' a few things, see if that improves gameplay.

The biggest thing for me, is the lack of Computer attacks. Half the time they are just messing around with it in Midfield. I appreciate there needs to be build up play, but it goes on for ages, then they just loose it. I might see about setting every team to 'OFFENSIVE' on the strategy thing. At least that way they may be encouraged to attack and I might see a couple of goals fly in.
