PC to PS2 Option File transfering without Max Drive

I have a non-modded ps2. Would this procedure still work on it? I also tried burning the ISO for ARMAX evo onto a cd and placed it on my console. It didn't work, but I wonder if it didn't because the ps2 is not moded or because it was burn on a cd and not on a DVD.

Burnt disks will only work on chipped/modded PS2s. Max Drive and X-Port devices can be used on all PS2s to transfer option and other save files. The best and easiest way to transfer saves it by using a Max Drive.

Dandy... finally some answers..... don't you let go of my hand brother.... bear with me.... Where can I get a Max Drive? Is that a device? Is that software? Are there any specs or minimum console requirements besides the PS2 and the maxdrive needed in order for it to work?..... and what is the best and/or latest option file yo would recomend for we9?... oh... and where can I get it?

Actually.....
I purchased the AR Max software only. It allowed me to transfer the Option file from a flash drive to my ps2 memory card without chips and salsa... sorry... without chip. Apparenty you can also use this software to start any burnt cd on your ps2 without having to chip your hardware, however I have not tried this feature. My common sense tells me that if it is is available... it should work.....

hi, does anyone know how to do this file transferring thing with Codebreaker v9.2? I'm sure it's the same method, but I don't think that you have to change the option file to .max, as it's codebreaker. Thanks.

Codebreaker? Never heard of it.

Care to enlighten those of use who don't know what Codebreaker is?

It works in the same fashion as Armax except some have said that it's better, so I use that but I recently lost my disc so I'm getting the new version. Why don't you google it for a bit more info?

I had the same problem with that forum.

I eventually had to download the software from "somewhere else" (you can use your imagination). ;)

But, I had the AR Max Evo software once and tested to see if it would work with the USB MP3 Players that I've got but to no avail. :(

For those that want the link, tough luck. I can't directly link the disc image as it breaks forum rules. :erm:

And I can't think of any other forum that hosts it either. :unsure:

it happened to me as well but I found out that the security code is very sensitive and you have to get the letters perfect e.g. \"N\" can look like \"H\".

i finally found that CODEBREAKER v9.2 program which worked fine but unfortunatelly i need a *.cbs option file and there s not converter for that
