I've just started playing PES5 PC again, I must admit I haven't noticed the refs being too bad. Having said that, I am playing on 1*, cos I'm using my keyboard. I have to say though, the gameplay really is superb, I'd forgotten just how awesome this game really is.
Yeah, I wasn't a massive PES6 fan, I remember playing my first game on it with the lads, and people raking in 25-yarders every game, and thinking summat was wrong. Then again, I might be biased, I had my best ML game on PES5 on the PC.
^^Strange that, cos I've asked a couple of Dutch speakers (Belgian and Dutch) and they said it was like "Kuiyt" or something. Admittedly, neither of them are football fans, they were going by the spelling.
Yeah, I'm not to bothered about stuff like this usually, boots and untucked shirts etc, but the stadia piss me off. They could never model the Gallowgate at SJP right. Not that it matters anymore like.
Jesus, never thought I'd read that in one of your posts. Shame really, I saw you name and was hoping you were going to properly lay into PES and end up in a flame war with some fanboys.
Anyway, back on topic, don't take reviews seriously. If you like a game and you're honestly swayed by a...
Hmm, not sure about that one. It pissed me off no end on PES5 when I grafted for two seasons with Fiorentina and got 1 Italian team in the furst group stage and 2 in the second.
Gamespot aren't to be trusted, not after the Kane and Lynch debacle last year. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to comment on PES2010, as I haven't played and won't until sometime in december at the earliest, but I can't see how the score of a game can go down if a game has improved.
Agree with both Shaun and Tech here. You can't disregard either game until you get a shot at the full version, but you can see where each is headed; and personally, I think FIFA is looking like a winner this year, much to my disappointment.
