Chill out guys, alot of the flaming is in jest, all part of the show, You can flame me too.
Right now, I am pro-fifa, this is because I know for a fact they listen more than Konami and are genuninley intrested in the feedback of this community.
But.
I played so many hours of pes through the years iv'e lost count, even when konami realased the garbage pes08, I still flat out refused to play fifa 08. I also have been visiting this forum for some time, picking up some great editing tips along the way.
I dont post on fifa forum for that reason, because im not one of these "I always knew fifa was better" twats.
But I will say this, as delusional as some of you are, you guys do deserve to be heard and some of you give some outstanding feedback and if Konami are happy to pay attention to this forum, I am happy to play any code of pes they want and give them detailed feedback on how to make the game better, you people deserve that for putting up with the shit of the last few years.
Because with good feedback, within 2 years (I dont think 1 is enough), they can give fifa a serious challenge in gameplay dept, they need to forget graphics for one year, sit down and work on the gameplay only, and build a foundation for the next year, then refine the gameplay and work on graphics etc.
So to clarify, as fifa has taken the pes had to offer and made it better, thats my game of choice, but im very happy to talk with anyone on here about how to make pes better, give feedback, all that shit. But if you guys want a better game, COMPLAIN! forget this

I really think someone on this site can get in contact with one of the blokes at Konami, and make him aware of a proper feedback forum on this forum. He needs to announce himself, and announce he is ready to listen, because if David rutter from EA can drag his ass onto the boards and acknowledge the fans then these cunts too.
Im telling you people now, I can do better a job in the ideas dept than these clowns, of course ideas are not always easy to transfer into computer games (down to coding and all that) but some of these guys don't have a clue on the basics.
The stuff that was enough to have the best game, simply isnt enough anymore, standards have been raised, how can you sell a great product to your target audience when you dont even know or acknowledge their key needs. Makes no business sense.
Oh, and when we get the gameplay spec for pes2010, I'll be giving that serious coverage on here as I have done with fifa too, infact ive been looking around for rumors to bring to you guys, but nothing so far.

This debate between You and Tech_Skil isn't going anywhere.
Perhaps You know something the vast majority of us do not know, and that's why you're that bit more optimistic. But is it right to assume that Tech_Skil haves "no life" just because he is saying things like they actually are??
I mean, you are also responding to him... which shows that you also care. And at the same time, even though Tech_Skil is not exactly "constructive" he is very accurate in what he says.
And then again, we Pay REAL CA$H for the game. It is a job, some people make their living out of those games. So it is more Serious than many people give credit for.
As a customer I will not buy an update on PES09. And I do have a Life outside PES, even though I get lambasted in the PESGaming "home" page as people don't like hearing the truth, and often reply with unfounded assumptions that have nothing to do with PES. Such as "you have no life, you're just venting your frustration".
I'm not here to judge whom is a geek or who isn't. Who cares??
My only interest is to give feedback, because I guess someone from Konami could take a look at it. And regardless of that, I post here pretty much to say what needs to be improved in the game, so that more and more people join in on relevant Talk -as- opposed to the whole "he doesn't haves untucked shirts" and the "goalposts" BS that haves absolutely nothing to do with the actual Gameplay.
I guess You and Tech_Skil also post on this pages because of that, you want a good game, you want your money's worth, and you want to voice your opinion.
That said, it's very clear that Konami do not bother to read Customer Feedback, and we have all the justification in the world to be concerned and skeptical. Hopefully PES10 will prove that they DO Listen, or have started listening. But to date, 08 and 09 are not good indication of anything.
PES 08 and 09 are utterly boring titles, the fact that the majority of us still play either PES5 or PES6 says it all really. I am not a fanboy by any means -but- I do feel like one because I was stupid enough to buy 08 and 09. Needles to say that won't happen again.
I will reserved my final verdict until I play the demo. But I have already made up my mind 99.9% that if PES10 still haves 8 Directional Movement, I will not buy it. I'm not giving any more charity to Konami. Whom by the LOOKS of things have sold out.
Hopefully Konami will surprise many of us skeptics.
BTW, Graphics are very important, like it or not. And FIFA09 Graphics are simply embarrassing at times, to be honest. Graphics + Gameplay. Having just One isn't good enough anymore.
What saves FIFA from a Graphics point of view, is that it looks very good from Wide View Perspective. But their close-ups are unacceptable.
But yeah, Gameplay will always be The make or break.

Lol, I cannot find any rumors to bring here about pes 2010, nothing.
The motion cap is a start in the right direction though, although as fifa showed for years before 09, that doesn't guarantee great player animations, but its a start from seabass because that game needs more animations.
I'd say the other thing im interested in is this master league revamp. Now even in 09 fifa actually was still behind pes in some basic concepts of single player career mode part of gaming. Including transfer activity, scheduling of football matches, player development, weather, editing. Now they are saying they are going to change the master league to make it a longer lasting more playable experience. Now this is going to be another struggle this year for pes 2010 in the face of fifa's manager mode, no fanboy shit, ill explain.
For years we asked Konami for: Real money, transfer rumours and news, more data and stats, more leagues, more teams, ability to move from one club to another rather than having to start again etc. And surprise surprise, they didnt listen, but ea did (again) and now this years manager mode will have all of this and more in fifa 10, so Konami already got trumped. Last year's Manager mode was not as engrossing as a classic pes master league season, because players got too good to quickly and stayed good till the end, but that is being addressed now, so Konami really need to step it up in that dept.
Another area that needs addressing is online, now i dont play online, cos Mrs Tech dont like it when I play fifa now, i get xbox live, my relationship is over. But Online and Master League are the main stays of pes and they cant let fifa destroy them in both, or its finito. BUT here's something they can focus on.
On fifa 09, one thing that is so annoying, that I bet they dont change for fifa 10 and no one has picked up on it....
you cant import your manager mode teams into online or exhibitions with your mates as far as I know.
Now Konami needs to work on this, concentrate on making developing your own master league team more engrossing and encouraging people to take their ML teams online into battle against other people's teams. So you got your own "domestic league" on your own console, then you step into the "Online league" against the best the world has to offer.
Maybe even do something like, if your player gets injured for say 2 games in ML, he's injured for 2 games online.
Just a thought, they should have some form of online ML, or weave the ML more into online play, cos FIFA might have missed a trick there.

The reason I replied to techs post the way I did is because I think it is ridiculous to go on cursing and flaming other people ( he did mention the KNOBS from wenb among others ) over a game....cu that is what it is.

If it sucks again then simply dont buy it...it is really simple.

Just two things.
1)Now that you have adopted my point on Business ideas. Tell me, how many businesses can survive by not catering to the needs of their target audience?
2) PES was built on a bunch of fans who wanted realistic gameplay over flashy crap, that's a fact, PES years ago was not the big name it is now, at one stage it didnt have a single real player name, let alone Messi doing the motion capture. It got great by word of mouth+ great gameplay. Now Konami are turning away from the very fanbase that helped it in the 1st place. Stupid Move.
I don't know about number 1, but Konami alluded to number 2 and definately have stated that number 3 will be in the game with their first press release.

FACT:
FIFA 09 sells 9.8 million copies.
PES2009 sells 8 millions copies...
both did great...its not like konami arent making money.
I agree also that someone needs to tell them waht made pes great...the problem is that you dont think thats possible since you are saying the KNOBS at WENB think konami are listening to them...which i BTW believe they are...why?
When messis first in game pic was released many thought it was a render or CGI....konami replied to those claims in 2 days...stating that is is gameplay...
All in all, we all want a great game here...u r on here obviously cuz u care about pes. But there is no reason for you go all nuts over a game., bcause like i been saying....
you DO NOT have to buy pes...so if it sucks dont get it

I have no problems with the graphics at present. Maybe a bit of polish.
They could improve the crowd a bit. The commentary could be tweaked.
They could get rid of this bug bear I have. When you do a sliding tackle another player does the same sliding tackle?!
If they could just sort out the playability along with that. And perhaps make it easier to modify the teams/players.

For some reason, I don't mind the pace of the game at all. For me, it is so much better than the sluggish SLOW gameplay that FIFA offers.

cant disagree there. Also, as someone else above said, the crowd needs to better. MUCH better. Right now, they're 2-d paper boards gifs. Even in replays, except when you move the camera within a certain distance of the crowd, then they magically balloon into 3-d figures. If games like NBA live can do it, PES can too.

The crowd is what can make a game great. I want to hear rival factions in derby matches. I mean you play as Liverpool and for 10 mins straight all you hear is "when the reds go marching in" maybe crowds in North Korea chant the same thing over and over but irl crowds have a variety of chants. this is something that really needs to be improved upon one chant per team is not enough. I say 10 chants for the big teams maybe 5 for the smaller clubs and for the derbys an additional 3 unique chants not to much to ask for
