6th Star Difficulty...

How come no-one mentions the 6th Star Difficulty anymore ? Until Konami hear about the fans wanting it, they wont have it in the game

I'm Praying that 6th star difficulty excists in pro 09. Will make the game against the pc even more enjoyable and after a few months i wont be starting new Master Leagues with reallllly crappy players. In pro 08, i feard the PC when they had a freekick. 8 times out of 10 the pc scored! its annoying but its all good. Thats the only time i fear the pc. With 6th star difficulty i'd need to be on my game at all times or i'd get humped.

What you guys think ? The need for 6th star difficulty shud be a major talking point...or is it just me?

Easy, simply remove your wall. The reason the keeper fails at saving free kicks is because he sees the ball too late. Remove the wall and he saves most of them. Remove the wall by holding Left Trigger (or L2), and pressing down.

Heh, I've never tried that. Might have to give it a go, more-so in 2009 if the goals to FK frequency is still the same.

am i the only fan of pes who struggled to beat the comp above 3 stars. i got to 5 stars once but it felt like the comp went easy on me now and again but trouced me the rest of the time.

On my first Pro Evo, PES5, I was pretty damn poor - my Master league was on 2 star (but that was because I didn't know how to change the settings) and outside ML I rarely went above 3 star.

As this is next gen they should be able to find some kinda technology that makes the computer exploit the areas you aren't good with.

Example, if you don't really know how to defend crosses. The computer should pick this up and attempt alot crosse .

Kinda like how a manager would pick up on this in a real life game and tell his team to hit them where they are weak.

That would be a real 6 *.

DanDaMan you said it better than i ever could

end of the day, it is a computer game and what other game when its on The hardest mode is a walk in the park ?

when i play against my friend, i always get taken aback at how harder it is... obviously because my pal has a brain and knows whats working and isnt etc

This new "momentum" crap that SEABASS invented (the cpu) can even score goals on Amateur.

I don't know if it's part of this TEAMVISION but they give the CPU powers suddenly in the game. For example when you are beating the CPU 2-0 and the CPU decides to give the CPU powers they suddenly run faster, intercept every pass and score 2 goals. Things like that. The great momentum invention.

Now in real life football games sometimes make a 180 degree turn, but players running faster and such is not realistic

i've had the game couple of months and i still am a firm believer the next step in pro is to introduce a friikkkin 6th star difficulty, for the Pro Lovers out there.

I know i can just play with less great players, but it doesn't quite have the same feeling playing with a chris eagles compered to Ronaldinho. I want to be able to play with the best stars and not feel guilty about cheap playing with them etc :(

I couldn't agree more.

I don't mind loosing but that crap of "momentum" thing (players faster, your players incredible slow and uncoordinated, impossible goals) is so unfair and unrealistic that makes me mad! :realmad:

the more you play the better you get, but I hate that sometime that PC scores a random goal that seems impossible to score. There are plays that I use numerous times while the pc get it in the first time.

Winning Eleven 2009 - Japan has the 6 star difficulty all the time - Super Star level thats just above the Top Player from other PES2009 (NA & EU) versions.

Yeah, I've heard that too. But what kind of difficulty is that? The team plays better or just the "momentum" is longer? ;)

Yeah, Super Star difficulty (one notch above Top Player) is in the Asia/Japan version of the game. I have no idea what's the difference though.

Also, I'm playing on Top Player difficulty for my Master League and I notice that the opposition AI is making plenty of reckless tackles and it's not uncommon to see two opposition players get sent off in a single match. I'm on the Asia/Japan version, BTW. Does this happen in the European version of the game?

Yea, that happens in the Euro version too. It's one of the worst things in the game for me when the CPU players consistently get sent off.

honestly. First the jap version gets become a pro before us, now they've had this excellent feature longer than us...

Well if Become a legend is anything to go by, perhaps the next pro will have this super star diff.... im not holding my breath

Superstar difficulty my ass. Like the ABOVE poster said thats annoying in itself already. I thought I was the only one that noticed this with the SUDDEN change in momentum that is totally unrealistic. Why don't they play that way for the REST of the game? Why does it have to be and only after you score a goal? Yea. So realistic. So letsee uhh.. superstar difficulty might THEN be summed up in the following sense...

1) Momentum shift from top player after scoring a goal on a NORMAL basis this time.

2) Score a goal even with those odds and have... yes... you guessed right. Momentum shift + EVEN MORE momentum (hahaha. unreal).

Even if the above points sound exaggerated I wouldn't be surprised. Until I get my top 11 players of my preference (granted I even have the points), I feel it will even out a little bit even with the annoying momentum shift. Only reason I am having problems is because my midfield sucks in a way. We'll see.
