My cousin and I both ordered copies of the game from an ebay store. We got a shipping notice two days ago, so hopefully we will have our games soon, and they won't be held up due to the RM strike.

what about updates?

I am considering ordering the PS3 version. I am in Montreal.

I have two concerns:

Would be I able to play online?

And

Can I download game patches whenever they are available?

Please help!

You can play online but I am not sure if its going to be laggy...because itll most likley be on the European serves and since you are in NA it might lag.

You will get all the patches and downloads same as the Europeans.

Hey boli,
Nope, I've never played in any tourneys. In fact, this will be my first year buying PES, so I'm afraid I won't be up to tournament level play just yet. Do you play on PS3?

The question is, is there a US PC version? I don't think Konami makes a US PC version for PES anymore, so the UK version is the only version you can get for PC.

I ordered mine off zavvi, they shipped it on the day of, should be here in a week.

I got PES 2009 from send.it com last year and it took about a week to arrive.

I can't get to online . Port problem ? I never been able to pass the test connection.

Hey lads, I also live in the States like some of you and have been debating on whether to wait til Nov. 3 and order the game from Amazon like I have done for the past few years, or go ahead and buy one from across the pond. Regardless, I did notice that the cover art for the American version seems different. Amazon has only Messi on the cover holding the ball but no Torres, and it actually looks nice yet subtle. Not that it matters that much to me but I was wondering if you guys know whether this is the real art or just a temporary picture until the game is released? Much obliged for any light you can shed on this matter.

Ive ordered both versions now for the last 2 years and have noticed the picture art is diffrent for both U.S. and Europe versions.

Yes I play on the Ps3, not online though since the online has sucked for the last few years on the ps3..Ive met alot of guys here in l.a. over the last few years, that play Winning Eleven which is the jap. version of this game.We go waaaay back to the ps2 days,and we get together to play a few times a month.

Cool, man. At the moment I've only got my cousin to play against (he's never played PES before either, but I talked him into getting it this year) so I'm definitely looking for some additional competition once I get a feel for the game. I anticipate getting beaten quite a bit, but that's the best way to learn, right?
