Im definitely glad they're changing it up coz i honestly dont seem to bother doing or attempting half the stuff i used to on previous versions and i guess the button layout for tricks has to be the main reason. Im also rubbish at doing chip shots these days since they tweaked it so i barely attempt to use any extra techniques other that the stepover, feint and lob pass when i play now.

Maybe...but there are nice tricks and low key ones that happen naturally during play in certain situations if you have players with a high enough technique rating. Ive encountered a few nice moves in my time but there just not done manually.

I've no idea why people are buzzing over the new supposed trick "stick". From what I've read it's still on the god damn d-pad, just now we hold RT/R2 as well. To me, that's just as bad, any tricks involving the d-pad is terrible.

Konami should simply put the tricks back on the right analog stick, but we should hold the RT/R2 button so manual passers still feel happy.

As far as I can see, it's still on the d-pad so why are people getting excited?

^That's new to me because I didn't see that anywhere. Still if you hold R2 and do moves with d pad (or hopefully with the analogue left or right) it would be great. At least better than in pes 09.

How you all doing?
So what is the latest news on the right analogue? Will it still be wasted on the manual passing or will it go back to normal i.e tricks?

I made a few posts regarding this subject on the winningeleven website see here:
http://kitanamedia.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=442&start=100
and the lowlife owner if anyone questions him goes on a power trip and bans me.

But my whole point is the trick stick as you call it should return, it is very crucial part of the game as you can see by looking at this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfomSilKhxs
(Watch in HQ)

I would love if they can give us an option to configure our controls so that we can go back to the PS2 days that way everyone can be happy.

The thought of having tricks on a d-pad when you're using the left analogue to move the player is ludicrous ergonomics.

To be effective, human's would need a third 'Pro Evo' arm.

Run, run, run, run, stop. Move hand to do trick. Run, run, run, run. No thanks.

What point is manual passing when we know the analogue stick is 8-way control?

That's exactly why it is so absurd my man.
Why exactly would they even entertain this idea let alone implement it is beyond me.
If it aint broke why fix it? The controls were fine just concentrate on making the game play like it used too i.e the PS2 days.

Hopefully more people share this concern and if Konami really is listening please give us an option to configure it on the right analogue.

the right trick sticks not coming back, tricks will be made by a combination of the r2trigger and left thumbstick. This way you do not accidently do a roulette but maintain the logic of controlling tricks by using the primary means of control ie the d-pad or left thumbstick.Think about it tricks are movement so should be controlled by the same method as you move,is this not logical?

360 dribbling

Those of you experienced with FIFA 09, are fully aware that the players could only move in 8 directions. This actually restricted movement to Up, Down, Left, Right and the Diagonals in between, and for those who noticed it, it made for a somewhat frustrating and unrealistic experience. With 360 Dribbling you now have the freedom to move using all 360 angles, which gives you the freedom to move anywhere you want. This is the first time this is being offered in any football game and means that you will have a much smoother and fluid experience. With the right amount of practice you will be able to dribbling around players like never before. Dribbling is not the only benefit you will get from 360 Dribbling, it now makes passing much more realistic and controllable. Basically you will find yourself making passes not possible before simply because you can now point to anyone on the pitch.

360 Defensive Movement

Like 360 Dribbling, the 360 Defensive Movement allows all off the ball players the freedom to move and defend using 360 awareness. This makes for more accurate slide tackles (being able to pick the exact angle of the challenges), more shoulder to shoulder defending (subtle movements allow you to press against shoulders more easily), and ability to chase and close down opponents.

Whatever people say pes needs this plus a switch to full analog control the d-pads got to go.

ALTHOUGH ea are full of shit perfect striker on the n64 had all this back in 1996.

But whilst you're dribbling, having to stop a dribble to do the trick is still flawed. Your right hand is not doing much more than sprinting when dribbling, so why remove the function of controlling dribbling and the tricks at the same time, instead of having to stop one to do the other?

I hope with the feedback they have received someone has pointed this irritation out to Konami.

You can't control player movement and do a trick at the right time it's not possible your timing has to be out of this world to be able to pull it off when necessary.

Now apparently from what I have read they implemented a new system which now you have to hold R2 which eliminates random moves but still this is flawed you would have too stop your dribble and then perform a trick by then any decent player would be able to steal possession from you.

All this new control method does is eliminate the randomness of tricks, it is still FLAWED.

Konami just keep it simple and revert back to the old system or give us the option to configure it back to the right analogue.
Everyone will be happy that way......... It really is such minor issue but a hindrance to say the least which can be resolved so easily.

What kind of new gestures techniques have you included this time?

We had two wills: the first was designed to make the gestures available on the left stick but do not abuse it. That’s why most of feints can be made using the directions, with combinations as needed. But at the request of fans and in the light of various surveys that have been made, we’ve added new dribbles that can be launched with the right trigger and right stick. It’sa return to what was already known in the past, but enriched with feints and many more subtle. This version will require therefore even more anticipation and a thorough reading of the game of the opponent, to know whether to engage or not.

Does this mean what I think it does?
We can perform the Marseille turn and the flick up on the right analogue like it used to be:unsure:
