Can't do skills

OK let me butt in here for a sec.

I made myself a real study of auto feint and tricks when I got back to PES in 2013. I was always one of the few pure skillers in FIFA and now I'm one of the few in PES. I never see my opponent use skillmoves this much.

People here talking about only using right stick with auto feint on are wrong.

The real difference between auto feint on and off:

Auto feint On indeed means that some tricks will be chosen by the game, like a Marseille turn or Ronaldo chop but still has to be done with the right and left stick combination. Example. A roullete (walking from left to right) right stick push right / then left stick push right. Also, a roulette and step on skills are tricks that won't be random even with auto feint on.

Only the body feints and scissors can be used by right stick only.

As far as I learned through my studies, you can't perform a hocus spocus with auto feint on.

Auto feint off simply gives you all the freedom in the world, but some tricks could be difficult to perform in some situations.

I only tested it briefly during PES 14 and as far as memory serves me I was only using R-stick but are probably right. I tested to see whether it would help a friend, who wanted to perform tricks but is a lazy shit, in the end he was even too lazy for that. But I do remember things being a little random because I thought it was going to be direction specific but I remember different tricks happening each time I used the same R-stick direction but again I could be wrong.

It doesn't really make sense to bring in the L-stick but I guess it could well be solely to do with the direction you are facing rather than it being an inclusive part of a combination but I would have to test it.
Though if you are right, why would you need to perform the same control action(s) used to implement manual tricks with auto-feint (something that is supposed to do that for you)? This is what I can't get my head around.

I'll take a look later.

For every trick in the game, I did an Auto Feint "On" and Auto Feint Off" comparison.

I'll give an example of perform-able tricks that are exactly the same in both setups.

Draw and open - Hold RS ← + LS ↓ or ↘ or →

L Feint - Hold RS ← + LS ↑ or ↗

Double touch - Hold RS ↑ (↓) + LS

Sombrero - *When the ball is either flicked or off the ground* - Hold R3 + LS

Crescent Turn - *When the ball is either flicked or off the ground, prerequisite skill: Sombrero* - Hold R3 + LS - Allows players to control high balls when attempting the Sombrero

Boomerang trap - *Prerequisite Skill: Sombrero* - Hold R3 + LS towards opponent

Rainbow Flick - R3 x 2

Kick Feint - Square or Circle/X or B then just before player hits the ball, press X/A

So again... The skills above can be performed with both auto feint on and off in exactly the same way.

Now, some examples of skills which have to be performed in a different way when using auto feint On /Off.

Flip Flap Skills with AUTO FEINT ON (Same goes for the prerequisite skills)

Out and in - Hold RS ↘ + LS ↗

In and out - Hold RS ↗ + LS ↘

Flip Flap Skills with AUTO FEINT OFF (Same goes for the prerequisite skills)

Out and in - Hold RS ↓ + LS ↗

In and out - Hold RS ↑ + LS ↘

The above shows that even with auto feint ON, you have to use both left and right stick.

In auto feint ON, the Marseille turn performed as Hold RS → + LS → or ↘ or ↗ or ↑ or ↓ will be randomized with the Cross over turn (Ronaldo Chop).

It is happening again
On the subject of skill moves, I did this crazy backheel pass with Danny (Zenit player) the other day. Not sure how I did it, is it just random?

Yes. Someskilled players might do some inventive stuff when the occasion arises. I remember passing the ball with Bernanrdo Silva in PES2015 in such an incredible way I spent the following 10 minutes wondering how I and he did it.

One thing I think it's too overdone is ball control. Too many players can get it trapped like Mata or even Bergkamp. And all of this is automatic (I think).

On the other hand, when you press sprint while trapping, the ball moves unrealistically far.

Why unrealistically? If you kick it with enough force...

Something like this:

I tested it now on training now but I'm having a hard time reproducing that. So I change to a weak team in training and I was able to do that.

But as far as I remember, when I just started out playing 2016, I'm using decent teams and that happens a lot.
I thought it was an issue, so I got used to not pressing sprint when trapping.

Maybe it's not an issue, that's just what is planted in my mind. I never really encountered it lately because I got used to not pressing sprint when trapping.

Hum... I've seen that happen, although not as far as yours. That is indeed very unrealistic. Nothing we can do about it though.
