cheapest pre-order for uk?

has anyone seen amazing prices yet? the cheapest iv probaly found is £32.99 which aint bad but im wanna know if theres anything for like £25 so then i can price match with gamestation then price match all my trade ins and get the game for like a tenner or less, as i got pes2010 for £7 last year but this year im struggling to find a better buy?

shopto tends to be best for price. Its £32.85 so you would save 14p. TBH your best bet will be to not preorder and go to asda or morrisons on release day and get it for a snip. Its a big game and they tend to be on offer at supermarkets for the 1st week. I got MW2 which had a rrp of £45 for £25 from morrisons on release day, and FIFA 10 for £22.50 thanks to a mates 10% discount.

yeah i got mw2 for 15 quid i went to about 12 shops lol then checked all the trade in prices from cex, hmv, and game then walked in with a smile and out with a bag of a newly purchased game for 3 quarters its price and the best bargain i ever got was in gamestation when pes 6 was first out my friend got staff discount and price matched it and i got the game for £1!!! well worth the money and i only traded 3 games which were really shit lol oh well happy days if anyone finds it cheap or knows where it will be selling cheap could you pass on the info please

I've never understood the logic behind trading games to be honest, sure it's easy but you truly get ripped off by the high street stores, or any gaming shop for that matter. Say you want to get rid of a game, the store GAME will offer you £8 trade in value or £6 cash lets say, whereas you could probably sell it on eBay for around £14-16 and even higher. It just makes no sense to me if you're wanting to fund money for another game to trade in.

I dont see the point either, I just keep all my games. i was going to trade in my ps2, they said they would give me £14 i said sod that i will keep it as a door stop!!!

Yeah, Gamestation used to be good on trade in prices, but since Game took it over, (am i right?, i think anyway!), they have slowly but surely given crapper value, to now match the insulting prices that Game have always offered.
I have kept games to gather dust rather than trade them at Game, where you can be offered £4 for a game that they are then selling on the shelf for £34!

I find that CEX definately give you the best trade in prices. I usually get rid of dead wood games there, and often i then get a credit note until something new i want comes in.

aye, i flog mine on ebay too. I sometimes even get a bit of profit! I bought final fantasy 13 for £17 new and sold it for £18.50 on ebay, not a massive profit but would have made a bigger loss giving it to GAME or something. (sold it because it sucked, who would have thought despite the ps2,ps3,xbox and xbox360 developers cant make a game as good as final fantasy 7!)

I will wait for demo. Probably try it on PC and XBOX. if it runs smooth on PC, which it should, and I like it then i will buy on PC for £17 at shopto i believe. Wont get it cheaper on PC in supermarkets, but for those console users i would defo wait for the supermarkets release and not bother with pre-orders. Though there will be those committed fans who dont mind spending £20 more just to get it a day or two early via ordering online early.

Nice to hear. I remember buying GTA San Andreas a few months ago for the Xbox so I could play it on my Xbox 360 - rekindle my love for possibly the greatest game ever made. Anyway, it cost me a steep £10 at my local video game shop (Grainger), which was pricey considering they were selling the PS2 version for £7. Anyway, I just recently sold it on eBay, and I was cheeky and asked for £15 or best offer. Sure enough, someone paid the £15 so I was very chuffed. Just goes to show you can actually do good business if you're smart about it. I avoid trading to high street stores at all costs.

Unfortunately you are. Used to be some decent competition on the high street, but alas no more.

Some Asda stores are doing trade-in's now, but I'm not sure how competitive their trade-in is. Buying used from them can be cheap but some of the prices are damn random.

I only really play PES and Tiger Woods.

So I traded in all the games I had, GTA4, PES 2008, PES 2009, F1(whatever got it with my PS3, Motorstorm(played it once, Igot it with my PS3), UFC 2009, Tiger Woods 2009 and Top Spin 3. I traded them in at game and they were giving me £42 I think but I took the new Tiger Woods and got £3. Wasn't bad since the games were all quite old.

I got £14 just for the F1 game, so if anyone has that and doesn't play it you should trade it in at Game.

The only games I have now are PES 2010 and Tiger Woods 2011. Does anyone have less games than me lol
