How to change the momentum (we9)

I am curently in 2nd position with only a few games left, but damn the game is hard. I can never really hammer a side.
Does anyone have any gameplay hints...I know get my finger of r1, I get the ball taken off me way to easy...and I never really find myself with a time on the ball and take a decent crack at the goals.
By the way angelpure, who do you reckon will be a player worth keeping in the orignal ML side that you get at the start of the season?
I don't quite understand what ML Side means? And that goes double for "hammer a side"?
But I guess you are talking about the original players you get... I wouldn't keep anyone, try to trade them (selling them is hard) for a bit younger, better players and you will get new players cheaper.
I was having trouble keeping a stable performance through the game... As first a scored two goals and then let in 3 goals in the second half... I used a very offensive 3-4-3 formation and it didn't work for me at all at 3 stars. So I took Inter Milans formation 4-4-2 with one DMF, one CMF, two OMF. Like this:
......SB
....CB......DMF......OMF......CF
GK
....CB..........CMF......OMF......CF
......SB
And it is working very well for me because I relised that most of the time I got my SMFs really tired without feeling that I've used them very much. I didn't do many crosses, most of my play was through the center. So by changing to this I got a better passing game...
Before I made a lot of goals but I let in a lot aswell. Now I use all the players in my lineup and they don't get as tired... I score as well... Even beat Barcelona (in WEFA) away with 0-3.
A little game tip: Try and shoot a lot for far away with players with really high shooting power. This might result in corners even goals but more importantly it seems that there is an in-built momentum for teams in the game... I.e If it's going good it's going really good. Sometimes you feel like toy intercept every pass, you score at will and sometimes it's the opposite. By shooting a lot it's my opinion that that changes the momentum and you will make you team work more. Don't now if this is true, maybe it's psychological thing for me...
