Hilariously, they've just tweeted about the next data pack 'in a few weeks'. The phrasing reads as if we're meant to somehow be excited or thank them for this. Cannot believe it will have taken them well over a month to fix by the time of release. I've done the majority of the missing transfers myself and nearly completed the Bundesliga, all this with no promise that it won't be totally screwed up again when DP2 is released.

I can't promise that I won't buy the game again, I've had pretty much every one since ISS Pro on the PS1 (and even bought the 20th anniversary edition of PES 16), but I can promise that I will never spend any money online and I will never buy the game new at full price again.

Yeah, I've always liked that quotation, it is so true.

Konami have had long enough (10 years(!)) to produce a worthy successor to PES 5 (/6)- maybe next year, son...? / -:

Yeah, PES 2017 will be the one! Even if it isn't, there's always 2018... definitely by PES 2025!! Just keep lining Bhatti's pockets, that way they'll one day have enough resources to produce a decent game. The "Who cares about licenses?" line doesn't cut it any more. What next(?): "Who cares about gameplay this is PES, man, f*** FIFA!" I hope not. Konami love to play the victim, but not having licenses doesn't prevent them from making a decent game, and having modern visual presentation and audio.

My crystal balls tell me this:

Bhatti: "That's right, folks, EA Sports have bought the rights to good quality visual presentation and sound effects- please try to understand- that's why our game is 'bare bones.'"

Bhatti: "PES 2017 is going to put right all of the wrongs of the previous iterations, each copy will come with a 5 match loan of virtual Bhatti Snake Oil® pre-match lubricant!"

I really regret buying PES full price. I just don't want to support Bhatti anymore. I don't want to support Konami anymore. I wish 2k would buy PES rights and kick Bhatti to the curb.

Makes you wonder how that is even possible?? I think they just make the screens up, the Spain one looks like they have photoshopped all the faces onto the bodies.

I was never expecting anything before December as in the "apology" the mentioned cancelling the planned DP for November 26th (I think that was the right date)

This gets mentioned every year, 2K don't need to buy any rights they just need to make their own game. I don't think it will happen though as they don't seem interested in making sports games unless they are fully licensed which would be hard with a football game.

...so I've been eagerly awaiting news, and we get this.

In a few weeks they will 'announce' the date of data pack 2

So they announce it in a few weeks (say 25th November)... it comes out a week or two later (14th-15th December)... we all rejoice. And then we have two weeks to play it until the transfer window opens again and makes it out of date! - and makes editing impossible for file makers without ruining the JLeague/Bundesliga/MLS things we all want.

And to tell us this great news they tweet us a strange picture of three already-licensed national teams with what seems to be slightly updated kits! KONAMI must be on Mars, or smokin' something

the tone of the tweet is absurd... "hooray! look what we are doing for you!"..

just complete, total, absolute apathy for this company at the moment.

I am thinking file makers (CYPES etc) should do a poll and basically agree with the community to work on the file, update it all ourselves and just shut this crappy update out of all our games. I can live without some update kits/boots. I actually want to play a proper master league before 2016!!!!

Can we still play online without it?

Guys, is there a list of every transfer that is missing? I want to play Master League ive waited long enough now I'm getting annoyed, so I want to do the transfers myself (I know the obvious ones like Martial)

And how do I put someone on Loan rather than transfer them?

What konami are doing are pushing their fan base away I have yet to begin a ML season because option files aren't completed till these lame updates are concluded
So playing in BAL mode the gameplay and so called new transfer system has left me completely frustrated but that's a whole different thread
