Playing a few more matches and it's starting to piss me off like the first demo.
Goalkeepers really are hopeless still.AI just skipping past players for fun.Know matter how well you defend the AI seem to just glitch to goal scoring opportunity's and because the stand up tackle is hopeless it's impossible to defend most of the time.Attacking and defensive super cancel is sloppy as hell.

good thing u can skip intro after it has played once..its freakin long!!!

in order to skip the (madly annoying) intro on PC:
go to "C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 DEMO 2\img" (or where ever you installed the demo) and delete the file "pes12pv.sfd" - voila!

Was this the same Makavelian guy who threw a paddy when he was told to go and play FIFA, if he can't get used to PES?

I believe it was, I also believe it was me that told you to do that. If you can't do it, nor have the patience or skill to get through the learning curve then go and play the game that is aimed at retards made by retards.

Pro Evo is leaps and bounds better than 2011 and it absolutely smashes the dire FIFA 12 in most areas. It is not perfect, by any stretch of the imagination. Not even PES5/6 were perfect, no game or thing can be! But out of the two FOOTBALL games it is the better one and does a better representation of the sport than what FIFA does.

How anybody on this earth can still clutch at straws and say "PES is robotic" now is just deluded or a FIFA fan-boy. Has anyone played the FIFA 12 demo? It is absolutely terrible! PES plays smoother and more responsive than that junk, total insult to football! What you see is what your gonna get for FIFA 12 in that demo, as the full game itself comes out at the end of the month, whereas Konami have done 2 demo's and the game comes out middle of next month, so any work that needs doing, can be done in this time.

FIFA 12 is up there with PES2009 for me, in terrible football games of recent times. It is pure garbage, I don't think anybody can say "I'm buying the game for this gameplay element this year"...for me...the only reason people can buy it is because it is licensed and "up to date"

Keep at it mate, it is a totally different beast of Pro Evo's of recent, ESPECIALLY FROM LAST YEARS. You can do a lot of things that you could not even dream about doing on 2011. It has yet another learning curve, maybe even steeper than 2011. Yes, there are problems that people have rightly brought up, and Konami are fully aware of those problems also and they are working on them before release.

Nothing to major to worry about though, I'm sure a lot of this will be resolved come October 14th.

I've never been this happy with a football game for years and years and years and years.

......and its an early code DEMO!!!!!

ok, ur biased. i mean fifa show off too much and get too much attention but there game i admit is level or a teeny weeny bit better in gameplay because of smooth playet movement and there great defence system which too be honest i wasnt expecting does beat pes defence.

Overall ea and konami have provided us a game with something worth 40 pounds but overall in gameplay and graphics i say pes has won. i mean the bugs in fifa aren't big compared to in pes but both are good games and fifa don't have crappy keepers but pes don't have crappy faces so at the end of the day it comes down to which you enjoy and to me fifa is more serious and over the top so for me pes 2012 defo

I agree that fifa 2012 demo is shocking. Basically all the people are going to get for there 40 notes is upto date player names teams etc cause the gameplay is wank.. I don't give a shit about names they can be rectified, Jesus give me peter sutcliffe instead of pedro i ain't arsed one bit. This game will be a lot better than fifa this year, Because the gameplay is much better. Some people will never be happy with pes12 just like some people wont be happy with fifa or cod or every other game what gets released

fifa have so many little things over pes but pes have a little big things over fifa like roboticness even though the animations have improves but are not on par. i do love pess but i don't see players like vidic with their eyes in their head dancing around at 100 mph like in pes but in fifa we don't see players with veins coming out in weird places

Go away man!

Have you even played both demo's anywhere near enough to even see what you are talking about?

Pro Evo used to be "robotic" maybe even last year, it still was. But this year the game is totally different, the movement, the feel, the responsiveness, the smoothness. It plays far more smooth and has LOTS more animations than FIFA, every shot is the same in FIFA, have you even played the PES 2012 demo, at all?

FIFA 12 is restrictive and on rails, the gameplay only gives you a few options and that's your lot. PES, the possibilities are endless, anybody who says that PES is robotic and crap, really needs to look in the mirror. It is nowhere near like what it used to be and to be honest FIFA has gone downhill the other way, while Konami built a base for good foundations of a Football game (PES 2011) and have took it to a totally other level. FIFA still plays the same as it did for FIFA 10, don't be fooled.

The only real genuine reason I could say why people would even buy FIFA 12, would be for licenses and it being up to date like that, but gameplay wise, I don't see how people can honestly say that FIFA 10.2 (12) is worthy of £40, from what I've played, it doesn't even warrant a £1, it's trash.

Call me bias and a fan boy all you like, I've played both football games and bought them from the very first one's that Konami and EA Sports made. I'm fed up with EA Sports' constant re-hasing and re-doing every single year, the game just simply does not change enough every year, I fail to see where this whole year improvement has gone. EA Sports claimed a revolution this year, where is it?

There was a time when people said that PES smashed FIFA on game play but FIFA had better graphics. Oh how the tables have turned, I'd say the gameplay is now better (08 and 09 were terrible for PES) and graphically it is also better. Even the servers have improved MASSIVELY, last year I only had bits of lag against foreigners from far far away, FIFA always had pride in the online servers being better than Konami's, but I'd even go as far to say that FIFA 11's servers were absolutely terrible and Pro Evo 11 even out done that aspect, last year also!

Roll on PES 2012.

IT IS BACK.

''IT'S IN THE GAME'' MY ARSE!!!!. I haven't played FIFA since 1998 and guess what?... after trying the demo... it's still the same crap!. Been playing PES since the ISS days and we've had a few bumps, but finally we can honestly say this year that PES 2012 ''IS THE GAME''. Thank you Konami, and f**k you EA.

I agree with the comments above especially craineys, to be fair fifa has made improvements over the past few years but EA have never truly built on the excellent fifa 2008 which felt very organic and had a great flow, the games felt like a tactical battle and midfield play was evident.

One thing that fucks me off is you can guarantee all the reviews will lick fifa's arse as that will please the mainstream, OPSM called fifa 11 football perfection lmfao. Gone are the days where we get well thought out reviews that judge the game after a few weeks when flaws become more apparent. The press will badly overate fifa again this year i guarantee it, EA will be happy to sit back on their +90 metacritic score while real football fans know which game is the true sim.

FIFA 08 next-gen was the game that made me think, "You know what, this FIFA ain't all that bad!" TBH FIFA was un-heard in my family and friends, everyone I knew played Pro Evo back in the day. FIFA 08 was fundamentally a FOOTBALL GAME at one, not about skills, kiddy card game modes or materiel polish...but about FOOTBALL. It wasn't perfect, but it done what it said on the tin.

Coincidence that, that was the last FIFA to be made by a different team? For the past 4 years (09,10,11 and 12) the team has been the same, they ousted the team who made FIFA 08. Is it a coincidence what the game has now become?

I don't think so.

It's aimed at a certain player and caters for them in every way, a retard can pick up FIFA and play it well, a retard cannot play PES.

I can vouch for this, my friends that play FIFA cannot play PES to save their lives, yet my PES friends can pick up FIFA and do fine.

That was the last good football game for me anyway, FIFA 08, apart from maybe last years PES.

You see last year, Konami put their heart on their sleeves and took a bold decision, by saying "You know what FUCK the casuals, we're gonna make the game for the "hardcore" PES fan's"

So last year it really changed significantly for me, you could tell that they had a lot of work go into it. You could clearly see where they wanted to go with the game and who they was aiming it at. This year's PES, takes it to YET ANOTHER level. Being able to improve on the things from last year. Last year was a base, a project if you will. It was solid and waterproof ready for improvement on top. It was overhauled and it is the main reason why we have this glorious football game now called PES 2012.

I honestly mean this when I say, this is possibly the BEST football game I've played since PES5/6...and that's a long long long time in gaming terms, other genres have improved no-end but football games have been in the same monotonous rut. Only now do we finally get something to say, "Yep, THIS IS THE ONE!!!"

FIFA will never ever change out of this rhythm, because blind people still buy it and support it till they die. The gameplay itself is emphatically HOPELESS and it still shows many many many samey similarities from FIFA98/99 for fucks sake! ESPECIALLY THE FIFA GOAL'S (Edge of the box finnesse into the corner)

....and of course it will get all the rave reviews and support, its EA Sports and they get what they pay for..EXPOSURE. I still strongly feel that first PES 2012 demo was held up by Microsoft, because of the commitment and bum-love they have for FIFA!

I tell you, if you didn't have the internet to find out about PES 2012, you would have been non the wiser on Xbox. Absolute jack shit was on the system or its marketplace about PES 2012, Yet FIFA will get and does get rammed down you throats at every single opportunity, not just on the consoles, but in REAL LIFE.

What was it that prick "lead-designer" David Rutter said about FIFA 12..."It's going to be revolutionary"

He shoulda gone to fucking specsavers! The only revolution is on the other fucking football game!

Sorry for using this thread but needed fast answer.

Does Van Bommel prefer right side if playing as centrel midfield player or little to the left side?

Any answer greatly appreciated.

You see, overall, I prefer FIFA because of the fluidity and the animations. Not only that, I think passing the ball, off the ball movement and first touch control is superior. Running is also better.

However, one of the things I have always loved about PES is the shooting. No two gaols are ever the same. It's satisfying, unlike FIFA where every goal looks the same.

But I probably won't purchase PES until they make the game MORE FLUID. I don't want static players on the pitch. I want off the ball movement. I want first touch control. I want better animations. I want better running and passing. I'm playing the demo on PC and far too many times my passes have NOT gone where I want them. Also, the 8 way player movement needs to go. We need to see a 360 degree movement system implemented much like in FIFA.

Graphics look great though in PES. But really I still think they are a few improvements away till it is a better game.
