In Pes 12 demo Inter were there instead of Juve

I am 100% sure that in Pes 13 demo, Juve are gonna be in. Afterall, it was a huge year for Juventus.

Unlikely since EA hold juve's exclusive rights and konami's contracted to inter. The only reason Juve are in pes is because of the licensing of Serie A. Its just like Fifa and man united ;)

Im not confident that a second demo will be much an approvement. The initial felt terrible to play, like a fusball table with a bit more movement!

Will keep my fingers crossed, though.

Alone? This is a game that should've been released a few years ago, not in 2012. The words 'alone' and 'without a doubt' don't reflect on whats going on at the moment. FIFA will still outsell PES, so you cannot say the King is back without a doubt. Everyone has different opinions on the demo, and eventhough I liked it albeit the scripting I'm sure other people will find it terrible because of the inertia in player movement, overpowered shooting etc.

Yes fifa does outsell pes each year, but it's certainly not down to fifa having better gameplay.

I was watching a game show on tv(cant remember the name) and the host asked rutter for the specific reason why people after playing fifa 13 refused to go back to fifa 12 again.

He came back with some stupid name for dribbling in the game (I think it was precision dribbling). Where fifa is concerned rutter never gives an answer correctly to a specific question asked, i wonder why that is ?. I believe fifa has gone backwards from fifa 09 onwards.

I watch my nephew play fifa 12 and i cringe inside just watching how the game plays out, i think i must be getting to old for this, lol

I never said FIFA had the better gameplay, I said it outsells PES which supported my statement - that alot of people think FIFA is better, not only him

Actually it is down to Fifa having better gameplay. PES has been stuck in the Past and never moved forward.

Where as Fifa has just moved forward time after time and Fifa 13 is no different. Just watching off screen games of it you can tell the new A.I run system works, the new theme of unpredictability is there and tweaks to the collision engine are obvious and the new 360 movement/dribble thing.

Add in to the tweaks to Career mode, Ultimate team and other aspects and it once again pushes the football gaming scene forward.

Obviously though the true extent of all this will be know on September 11

PES 13 is the first PES (going by the first demo) that I can actually play since PES 6. The rest have been horrid, yes, Horrid.

@menaceuk, don't for a second think that what EA say will be real because it has been proven time after time that they come up with stupid names for supposed "tweaks" just to sell their product more and NOT because they actually made changes that mattered.

Fifa does NOT have 360 movement. The animations trick you into believing that. However I have to applaud them for it.

The new AI? Why don't they fix the overly scripted career mode? In Fifa 12 I could tell the minute the game started that I wouldn't win this one. The way the AI played was too 1 dimensional and I don't think that Fifa 13 will fix all of that.

Why? Because most of Fifa's problems cannot be fixed with a new release or tweaks, they're in the roots of the engine. The game was designed to be like that. The only reason why people play Fifa over Pes is not because of the gameplay alone.

They play it over Pes because it has the rights, it LOOKS nice (animations and transitions not graphics) and it feels authentic with all the licenses. But when it comes to deep gameplay, Fifa just fails miserably for those who truly want to see it's flaws.

I am not saying this in favour of Pes because we all know that it's a shame for Konami to still have these stupid animations and we all know that Pes 13 should have been released before. But nonetheless, I still welcome Pes 13 because it's a step in the right direction, FINALLY.

:erm:

Sorry but Licences don't make a game sell like Fifa does year in year out. Thinking it does is naive..........Remember when PES was the dominant game and it had far less licenses than it does now:rolleyes:

LOL at Career Mode too. I finished my last season with only 2 loses. Hella scripted Bro and even the PES13 demo has obvious scripting issues.

As for 360 movement. If it is true 360 movement or not it is certainly better than it was in Fifa 12 and the new 360 thing they have going you can see in gameplay videos.

But as I said we shall find out the true extent of gameplay changes, additions, tweaks come DEMO time.

Its obviously my opinion. I wish I could have the enthusiasm you do but Im afraid I dont. Ill buy both football games again this year, but I can see only FIFA being played.

Did you even read the other part? I never said licenses alone make the sells. I said that licenses and authenticity + EA's good marketing campaign make the sales. The games looks real and that's what matters to many people, but when you analyse it, it does NOT play real and that's why Fifa will be great the first week or so but it starts to get boring afterwards.

Pes WAS NEVER the dominant game. Fifa was always considered the big one. However I do get that Pes became a shame after pes 6. It was with 2011 that they started truly working on something rather good. But Fifa? They did good in 09 and had a good foundation, but ever since fifa 09, the game went backwards. EA aren't investing enough time to make changes that really matter. Instead, EA are making changes that pleases the eye. What I mean is that they make all these changes that sound great and all, but when you go deeper, the same problems will eventually emerge.

LOL at Career Mode too. I finished my last season with only 2 loses. Hella scripted Bro and even the PES13 demo has obvious scripting issues.
Scripting is so obvious. CPU AI cheating is super obvious. The AI will outmuscle you when it wants, they will out reflex you anytime they want, they will play like Barca (every team can do that and that's the biggest downfall of the game) and they can score missiles with anyone when it wants. Fifa 12 is not a hard game, but the scripting and AI cheating make it seem hard.

BTW, I never said Pes wasn't without scripting problems. In fact I posted it on here, that Pes 13 on Top Player is a joke in terms of cheating.

As for 360 movement. If it is true 360 movement or not it is certainly better than it was in Fifa 12 and the new 360 thing they have going you can see in gameplay videos.
That's what they always say, but when you play it, you will still notice the same thing. To be truly 360 degrees, the game has to be designed like that and NOT made after the core is already made. So it cannot be true 360 and until EA change the engine, it WON'T.

However as I said, I applaud them for their animations because they're beautiful to look at and they mask 360 very well.

But as I said we shall find out the true extent of gameplay changes, additions, tweaks come DEMO time.

This is something I agree with. :)

I did read it but even so..........People PLAY games. If Fifa was really that bad in the gameplay department people wouldn't buy it year after year. Simple as that. Licenses, animations and what ever become irrelevant and Fifa hasn't has always been considered "The Big one". PES was the daddy till this gen and then Konami just fell apart while EA boomed.

*Also just to fix a mistake in my previous post: The Level of direction in Fifa 12 is better than that in Fifa 11 and this is unquestionable cause it is right there for all to experience. Is it full 360 ? don't care as long the level of control is better.*

Scripting : Yes, Fifa has Scripting, I in no way disagree and it can be annoying but this is down to poor A.I and not just Fifa but the gaming Industry as a whole has Poor A.I. Is just something we have to live with until massive strides are made in that part of gaming.

Nah, Fifa was always the big one. I remember back in school not many played Pes but many played Fifa and many kids used to say that Fifa just has the teams. I don't remember Pes being the big one. It had MORE fanbase, true. But never Fifa's level.

To me Fifa 12 felt too loose even though it felt like you could go in more directions. Fifa 12 did some things better than Fifa 11 for sure, but overall, Fifa has been going downhill ever since Fifa 09, because they improve some areas, but completely mess others. Let's see about Fifa 13 later on.

Just because the majority of games suffer from poor AI, it doesn't mean that every game suffers from poor AI. The AI can never be perfect, because it's made by humans, but there are some games with challenging AI but at the same time not a cheating one.

I know this game I am about to mention doesn't have anything in common to Fifa. It's just an example of excellent AI. Dark Souls is a challenging game where the enemy AI doesn't cheat, instead they use what they have to their advantage and they are programmed to fight you well and NOT cheat you out of it. It has it's poor moments but overall, the AI is just awesome.

Yes, football games at this point in time suffer from AI. I agree with that, but I just can't live with Fifa's horrible AI. It's just way too bad.

I played international matches last night ... bloody hell is the game speed that much quicker than playing as Brazilian teams, its not that it ruined my experience but I found I had to be more focused than usual.

I switched to mid range camera and I did something I don't normally do, I rarely pressed the sprint button, in fact I pressed only twice in the entire game! I found on mid range camera I was able to jostle players making attacking runs into positions where they couldn't get the ball. I also found I was able to position my defenders to intercept every through ball. I shit you not, I blocked every wonder through ball just by organising players off the ball. I know the mid range camera has the disadvantage of not being able to see the whole field but I found it easier to execute dribbling and defending. I just had to use the radar to pick out players. Oh and yes, I was playing on Superstar. The only chances I conceded were my own fault, namely smacking the ball off my own player into the path of theirs.

Technically this is the wrong thread but I'm hopeful the gameplay will be retained as I immensely enjoyed playing PES last night. Yet again.
