I for one think it is an awesome game and better than last years addition. I have no problem with the shooting and find scoring goals is not that hard as people are making it out to be.

The only thing I cannot believe Konami did was release the game with the sprint bug on the 360. I normally have friends come over and we play for hours but now I'm stuck with a game where really I do not want to play until it is fixed.

The question I have is what if it does not get patched then what? Will I get a refund for a broken game.

I like the game so far. Only problem I have is the AI can score so many headers. Playing a champions league, let in about 10 goals, almost all headers. Almost every cross they put in, bang, a header, a goal.

I think the game is awesome in offline mode but terribly faulted in online mode mostly because of the game speed online.(+I dont like default wide camera at all)
I love playing online and I doubt Konami will patch up the game speed online because gamers who are already used to the game online will get upset.Also camera angle is never going to change(Online play is optimized for Default camera).

I am swapping my PES12 for PES11+Cash on PS3.

While holding down the sprint button with only Player1 for some reason the player would pause for a second then continue running after that. Happens a quite often during the game and only on the 360 version.

I find it unplayable at the moment.

What annoys me how easy it is to score goals from crosses .I'd say 80% of the goals i've conceded are just fools running in the corners all match.
PES 2011 really rewarded creative football but with this years game rewards runners.Some of the games are so ridiculous when you face the usual pes whores who only use the top teams.The games are exhausting even though you haven't moved out of your seat.The turn over of play every time is just Messi, Villa etc..just sprinting at you.Last years version i could play the game for hours but after a few games of this version i get bored even if i'm winning.

I was just hoping to get the feel of the old PES days, I used to feel the ball and the players are two different entities. On impact, passes or shots I used to hear that nice sound of the touch of the ball. Last years edition were terrible, the game went forward in some aspects and way backwards in everything else. I still see defenders running away from the ball leaving the attacker one on one on keeper, the defender just stalls and stops running after the ball. I have seen terrible goal keeper seriously... It is so fucking ridiculous... The offside trap is crap, the marking is very bad, passing is not improved, only long through passes and the catch up bug have been better, everything else is still shitty, also passing and crosses feels so unreal, the ball is too slow at times and long balls are so creeping and weird...

Referees are awful, the game just does not feel right or real. This is not simulation, it is science fiction.

When I play NBA 2k I have to do strategies and play smart like real basketball to win. In this soccer crap, everything is so illogical.

Another version of the monkey evolution soccer... I am way disappointed. Not to say that FIFA is better or anything, FIFA sucks big time I stopped touching or buying FIFA years and years ago because I lost faith in that crap company, now I am losing faith in this crap Konami shit.

I've given away 3 penalties in over 100 games and i've had one myself. I really think that this is a question of using O like a mad man or just timing both X and O tackles right. (If you're on ps3)
Defenders giving away cheap one on ones happens both ways. Own goals as well

For everybody who likes sports games, I want you to play NBA 2K12 and Madden 2012 and see how beautiful they are. You cannot win unless you play real Basketball or real Madden. A true simulation... But with Konami and FIFA, this is not soccer... This is kids crap.

Do not buy the game, you will really regret.

I'm talking more about the homing missile crosses that always hit there intended targets.It's not realistic at all how potent crosses are in this years game!If you think it is then your kiddng yourself.They fixed the crossing problem after pes 2010 after people complained how accurate the crosses were.Then they bring back an old problem what is worse than ever.

Thats vintage konami to implement new things & fix stuff which aint broken :tongue:

Add more feeling of weight to players in PES2010 -> Removed in 2011 & 2012 due to player complains of sluggish controls

Change penalty system to new in PES2011 -> Removed in 2012 due to player complains penalties being too difficult

Change crosses to less accurate to PES2011 -> Changed back in 2012.

Was easy to see info of players development in ML still in PES2009 at least -> change to harder to follow development in 2011

Cool stats about the most scored players ever in ML PES6 -> not those anymore.

Of course Konami though implements lots of good NEW things meanwhile. And personally I think shooting has gone a lot better during years. Much more difficult and rewarding, player body position to the ball when hitting is even more important than before = great!

As for the runners....it's really hard to find people online that want to play the game. But most of the time...the runners are the ones that end-up losing because that's all they can do. Played my first games online last night and i thought it was crap!! The game is just too fast online...this doesn't give you time to do shit except get rid of the ball before the opponent gets it...i hope they do something about the speed.

NBA 2K is a quality series - I agree. It's intuiative and makes you try to use a "Basketball" mentailty when playing

The reason I ask about FIFA is that I feel its very strong this year and encourages a "football" mentailty when playing (defending space, looking for runners and being patient).

If you haven't bought PES yet this year don't. At least wait a few weeks until it inevitably falls in price because no one is buying it.

I predict in the UK in two weeks it will drop to around £20 then maybe to about £18 in another four weeks.


PES 2012 on the XBOX 360 doesn't have 2vs2 online [as in 2 people on one console]

2 vs 2 is supposed to be on the PC and PlayStation 3 as far as i can tell so the only reason it's not on the 360 is some numpty forgot to put it on and Konami like the shoddy lot they are do their best to mess things up one way or another every year.


I am a PES fan boy, i've bought every one and i've always hated FIFA but enough is enough.

I am going to buy FIFA and force myself to play it. I've have played FIFA 2012 and it is much better than i remembered, even if i still prefer the broken mess that is PES, the worst thing about FIFA is still the shooting but PES is now challenging that with it's GOD awful one mile an hour floaters.


Why do they have to change the Tactic Screen every year? And why change the stat system?
Why do they have to have to constantly Fix and break one thing after another in some kind of crazy cycle?


There is a massive whole for a decent football game to challenge everyone that buys FIFA [including the soon to be me].
I think PES is gone, some of the programmers that know what there doing from other versions, like PES6, need to go join some one else and make it now, PLEASE!

The old tactic screen, the old stat system and just mod the dribbling a bit so the ball doesn't stick to shite arses feet like they're all Messi [even if it is fun]. Give them a copy of Kick Off and get them to combine that with PES dribbling. Realise that there are plenty of fast footballers who are crap, just because your crap doesn't mean your slow and vice versa, if they ever had someone like Darren Campbell in the game they would make him pace 80 odd while keeping people like Bellamy over 90.

Add in Random Selection Match and i will happily pay £100 for that game.

This game is a totally embarrassing online.So far removed from real football it can get.
They really have made it so everyone is good at the game this year.To play great football in other pes's you actually have to be good at the game but now it's just so easy.
It is by far the n00biest pes online ever, even worse than 2008.I've had a couple of good friendly's but when you are playing competitive games it's just the same old shit run run run.Really is a soulless arcade game.
