The game is decent. But let's save the "amazing" rhetoric for when Konami finally releases a game in which entire aspects of the gameplay aren't completely borked. For example, what's up with the shooting? When I aim left, the ball shouldn't go right, or straight at the keeper. It should go left (imagine that). But it doesn't. That part of this "amazing" game is pretty much broken I'm afraid.

for me theres nothing wrong with gameplay and shooting fine for me wherever i aim to shoot it goes in that direction, game plays 100% fine for me

im playing xbox version superstar level

Sorry man, but PES sites are full of threads from gamers talking about the screwy shooting this year. Although I'm glad for you that you have the only perfect version of the game, guess you're just a lucky son of a gun.

Even pes 2008 was more enjoyable and needed more skill input to win games than this year online.
I can no longer play against the A.I for prolonged time like playing ml, what in the ps2 day's i could play all year round.The only mode i can bare now for a few seasons is BAL.
After i first got a taste of online in 2008 i do find it hard going back to playing shit loads of offline games against the A.I.
The buzz you get from winning online makes single player mode feel very soulless.

I thought this but you have to get used to the new defending system. Its really rewarding once you get the hang of it, you can't just spam X to conservative tackle like last year, you have to use R2 a lot more to jockey, if a striker is approaching you face on you don't just steam on at them like PES11 you have to watch, takes some patience then when they knock a little in front of them keeping hold of R2 should see your defender put a foot out and nick the ball.

This new system really helps differentiate world class defenders like Vidic who will stand up to most attackers. Makes for some tense games when your holding on to a lead.

Also the fact that you're getting annoyed with the refs tells me you are still trying to defend the way you would on the old PS2 games where holding X without any timing would constitute 'good defending'. Now you've got to time when you go in for the tackle, you can't just take back possession when you want.

PES has always had intricate attacking approaches, and its good to see theyve finally added some skill to defending.

Other than that I suggest you knock the difficulty down.

I've been playing pes my whole life and I must say i get most people who criticize. Fifa you can just start a match and everything is clear and easy. Pes somehow always irritates the first two weeks you play it, i have had this same, even stronger feeling with Pes 2012. In the begin i thought what the fuck is this, this cant be Pes 2012. Now ime playing it for 2 weeks and I keep on learning more and the matches are getting better. Pes 2012 is a very good follow up to 11, and i know ill be loving this game for another year. Fifa 12 has also has made good improvements, dont get me wrong. Its these little things that makes most foottie fans want to play Fifa. The stadium atmosphere, the away teams have their own part in the stadium and the gameplay, licensed teams, it speaks for itself. I guess it's just the unpredictable gameplay that makes Pes the game i love. And ofcourse things can always be improved, i hate it that i see these green men every match on the field(i dont know where they got this from), the supporters animation is still just a ugly moving gif(that has the quality as if it looked like it was made in paint), it looks ridiculous. And what are the supporters with the yellow-striped shirts doing in between the home supporters every match?

And for the people that play online, they should really change something about that. Playing Barca-Real-AcMilan-InterMilan isn't my thing, but somehow i feel restricted to do so if others choose these teams. Not because I want to, but because the teams i want to pick just wont gain resistance to the big teams most Pes players keep on choosing. And if i choose a team that is way less than the big teams i usually end up having the half of my team 'blue or purple'. So please, Konami make online more fair. Give us 'top team' modes or let the weaker teams have a 'green/orange/red' line up.

i tried playing the fifa11 and played the fifia12 demo a lot, just to see why so many like it. and i dont know. only thing i liked was the stadium atmosphere. but it wasnt perfect eighter.
but i just couldnt get into the games. nothing was special. i dont know. but im not buying a game because they have a monopaly on licenses. or spent millions on marketing. So please change this topic to Dont Buy Fifa 12

hes right its a better game, i can win the ball back i can defend better

every free kick dont go in, and that silly 4pass qiuick move the cpu does on top player wich results in a goal

i started my new season on superstar level and lost my first 3 games 1 0 and 1 was own goal but im playin ok and def better game hardly any cheating
