I know I am right. Football games are NEVER 100% user skill based.
It depends on many factors not just your skill level and usually, there's way too much AI DECIDING FACTOR in it.
You are completely wrong about fifa. They made a step in the right direction, especially by toning down the pressure a bit and making close control slightly more effective, BUT THE COST?
Every player can turn at ridiculous angles regardless of his abilities
The cpu AI is abysmal
Attacking patterns are too shallow
Tactical defending is a hit and miss
Spots on the pitch where standing tackles will never work
The list goes on. These issues are extremely poor programming. So be careful when you say that fifa is improving, because although they a made a step in the right direction, they completely destroyed other important factors and made the worst things of fifa 11, even worse.
I do not hate fifa 12, I hate THE EASY WAY OUT THE DEVELOPERS TOOK, TO MAKE IT LOOK DIFFICULT and I also hate the fact that I never feel safe.
As for pes 12. Seriously, it is not nearly as bad as you're saying.
Pes 11, although a good game had it's annoying problems and had that through ball glitch where the only way to surpass the defence was with a through ball simply because they outran the attackers and the response was SOOO low. Do not get me wrong, I defended pes 11, because I do like the game, however, I always mentioned these bad things.
Yes in pes 12, the close control is a bit too close and the standing tackles aren't on par with the attacking options. But, the user defensive skill lever has increased dramatically from pes 11 (which was fairly easy to defend).
The attacking options are more open in pes 12
The AI movement destroys that of pes 11
Curled shots work much better
Timing is much more important
The goal variation is even better and the unexpectedness of the game has also increased
Seriously, the list goes on of what's better in pes 12, but I am not here to argue, I am simply pointing out that pes 12 is not as bad as you're saying.
The only things they need to do is:
Tone down the close control, though NOT BY MUCH
Make standing tackles more effective. That way it'll balance out the game even more
And add more MIDFIELD pressure. This is highly important and it is a bit missing from the game.
But seriously, for the annoying things that pes 12 has, the good side outweighs the bad side in my view.
