I mean in ML do u feel like reloading the game when no matter what u do u dont score while the cpu gets one chance and it scores.it feels really sick when every time u shoot it either hits the post or hits a defender or ur own player or the ball simply skims above the bar.Simple passes go astray, loose balls go to the cpu 9/10 times, cheap penalties being awarded. I really feel undone by the cpu sometimes and i have reloaded my matches a couple of times.but it doesnt make me feel any better:(
So what about u guys?

I was storming through my Master League with Portsmouth, winning every match with about 2 goals per game.

Then came Man United.

It was like the difficulty had been turned up to the extreme - I couldn't even get the ball off Paul Scholes, Tevez hit two in effortlessly and I was constantly having shots saved by Van der Sar. I lost 2-0 and couldn't take it, I had to restart my game.

Played again, and yet again Van der Sar was incredible. I managed to get a 1-1 draw - This was my goal:

Even there, Van der Sar was saving them! Incredible.

Next match I beat Chelsea 3-0.

.

Exactly my feelings.Things wont go our way no matter what we do.But in the next game against an even better opposition we win easily.Just dont get it sometimes. I think PES is not a game of skills but a game of patience. This game is a real gamepad killer.
And maybe that's why we love this game cos its like just 1 more game and i will kick the bloody hell out of that cheating cpu...

No no no... that's not right. No matter what you gotta take the result! You can control everything. If you shoot and miss, well you shoot and miss, so your strikers are having a bad day... luck is part of soccer... I don't know, I just wouldn't feel right reloading a game...

If I lost and deserved to lose I'd probably take it. But when the other team gets a goal from only one shot thanks to one misplaced pass (Or intercepted at 300mph), I feel a bit cheated.

Its all scripting sometimes you just no its going to be one of them games where everything goes against you, but to be honest if it wasnt like that id never loose.

I feel as if after a while the CPUs tactics become predictable... and if you are focusing you can stop anything.

I think that the main reasons we give up goals to the ai when we have a comparable team is either of lack of focus or FKs...

Have to completely agree with both of your posts CapnKill, spot on.

I used to reload games the odd time when I was younger, but nowadays, I don't see any point in it at all. Football isn't predictable, and anything can happen. A lot of it relies on luck, for example, about 5 matches ago in my Division 2 ML, I was dominating the entire game against AIK Athens (my bogey team) and it remained 0-0, then in stoppage time AIK had a break and scored from it. Of course it was a kick in the bollocks but that's football, the last 2 games however I have managed to win late on, ultimately it will all even itself out, and like football it is horrible when you feel hard done by but when you manage to get away with something, you take it, and boy does it feel good.

Sometimes I do quit matches at some point because the scoreline is just too unrealistic. This goes both ways though. I did a ML with NEC once and after a while my team was pretty decent (one of the better teams in the Eredivisie). However, during a match against FC Volendam I suddenly found myself going 3 down. Due to two (unjust) penalties and a glitch that made my defender pretty much give the ball to an opponent. So I quit the game and I eventually replayed the match.

I did the same thing when I played against Barca with the same team though. In this case, I was up by three goals during halftime. This also didnt feel right, and I quit the game and replayed the match.

I will in the case of something egregious, like the incessant "god" dribbles of '08 or insane, impossible errors. I once had a CPU through pass from 35 yards out get past two banks of my players, cutting through five packed tightly outside the six yard box, the deepest of which moved to intercept, then stepped over it and let it roll up to about two feet from my keeper, who froze for a second, fell over, and made no attempt to recover as an AI CMF somehow got through the crowd and tapped it in.

I'm fine with being beaten tactically (and I really only play, and to some extent, watch the game because I loooooove strategy and tactical employ), but the cheating shit, I can't tolerate sometimes. In '08, I had an ML with Villa that was spanking the England League. Had not lost in a couple years, consistently crushed the Big 4 by 3+ goals, but in one season's second Everton match, I was compelled to replay literally 14 time1s. The AI almost drove me to quit playing video games.

This is a recounting of actual events, as they transpired:

I never cheating.. Loosers do that.. Sometimes in real match your players make mistake, referee mada a bad decision, but cheat like this will take everything i played till that match.. Rather will feel upset, that I lost and it might be not my fault.. But clear it and play again?? :)))

So playing with Barca ( your team ) against Almeria , or Racing , or Sporting de Gijon and having 41% possesion and losing the game is bad luck? Sorry thats IMPOSSIBLE in real life.

So, Numancia was a powerhouse in the first fixture of this year's La Liga? Oh well, was France in WC 2002 so weak or was Senegal so strong? Cupholder loses the opening match to a debutant? Didn't know it's IMPOSSIBLE in real life, seems like I've been bullshitted all the time.

I have replayed quite a big number of matches a few years before while playing PES5. Yes, I was so mad at this game I eventually erased it from my HDD. Now, in PES 2009 I've replayed like 3 games maybe, one of which was against Liverpool when in 5 in-game minutes Torres scored a hat-trick after three solo actions, running through my players like through training cones (yes, they seemed to have stopped moving at all). It's like a last resort when you are like TOTALLY cheated by the AI to me.

The cpu does and will cheat every moment it gets to do it.Thats the only edge the AI has over us.I guess it is very difficult to make an highly intelligent AI in a complex game like football. If the AI wouldnt cheat then we would have found the game too easy and we wouldnt have played with the same focus and concentration. For eg i can play Fifa watch tv and talk on my cellphone and still win with 79 % possession and a 3-0 scoreline. This is exactly why we want to play PES,because the damn thing is too difficult.personally i play it like its a war between the good(me) and the evil(AI).This game invokes far more emotions then playing FIFA and there is no one who can disagree to it.
I guess i will try to stop my knee-jerk response of reloading the game when such disagreeable cheating happens. Thanks for all the response guys it made me feel a lot better to see i am not alone ;)

It's cheating. Plain and simple. I'm not going to sit here and lie and say I've never done it before. I used to do it a lot a few years ago. Didn't like it one bit when I dominated a match and ended up losing by the AI's one attack, so I would say, "that's not right" and reload it over again. But this happens in real football and there are no reloads available, so why do it in the game?

When it's all finished and you look back at the league table and see that "0" in the "L" column, it doesn't feel right. It has not be earned. You cheated to get it.
