Im in two minds which of these i should buy...

I love RPG games and fallout 3 seems like a really good prospect, that'll guarantee me hours of enjoyment (ive been addicted to every RPG ive ever bought)

but i also love first person shooters...and Far cry 2 is set to be one of the best theres ever been (based on how good the first one was, and pre-reviews ive read)

or should i just wait for little big planet?

arrghhh

Nonono dont get little bastards pissing!

Hmm I am in the same predicament as you, luckily, I am not a huge gamer per say
(Just PES every year dude even though I've got GTA4, COD4 etc.. etc.. I hardly play em!)

Difficult, dont know, right now I am leaning towards Farcry simply because Fallout looks far too complex for someone who just likes to blow sh!t up

haha thats a good point man!!

I'm thinking fallout will last longer, but far cry will be more fun to play!!

can you understand my predicament?! lol

Fallout is effectively a 3rd person shooter (although you can play in FP as was the case in Oblivion), with light RPG elements. Best of both if like me you like action without too many heavy stats.

Fallout is supposed to be a good FPS, but that's all.

As for LBP... anyone who has negative feelings for sackboy should be shot. With online & offline co-op, better 'platformer' play than anything else out on next-gen & the ability to create virually anything for your level, it's shaping up to be one of the most important releases of the year for Sony's machine.

Well fick old friend if you say LBP is good then its good!

BTW hmm heard some stuff about how looooooong it takes to get from one mission to another in farcry 2 (apparently 20-25 min drives) so I am loosing interest and I heard that fallout 3 on the ps3 is buggy and even freezes (OPM said this) so I am going with... Saints Row 2! Besides PES is more than fantastic this year!

Now I can play PES (and loose as I mostly do) and then I pretend to be an angry fan who goes about killing people, perfect right?

Nice to hear it!!! ;)

Hadn't heard that. Must be a quick route surely..?

and I heard that fallout 3 on the ps3 is buggy and even freezes (OPM said this)

General concensus is that the Xbox version is far superior, fortunately I have both consoles so can pick & choose.

so I am going with... Saints Row 2!

If you like pointless stupidity, OTT action & some hilarious character customisation (check out the underground mall - I'll say no more), then Saints is highly recommended.

Funny you should ask this... somebody was having exactly the same trouble deciding which game to buy over on the bethesda forums... this is what they said... 'well, I had 60 bucks in pocket, and I was debating myself either I should get Far Cry2 or wait one more week and get Fallout3.

I read all the reviews out there so far, and chose Far cry2.

I have played 5 hours of its single player mode, and dear God, I hate this game.

The ad said it is Free-Roaming and lots of missions, and you get to choose a faction and do quests for them and so on.

They also said the map is large and lot of beautiful, gorgeous locaions to check out.

But most of them all, Ubisoft said something like "great game with great replayable value, it will take at 100 hours for usual gamers..."

man, was I a fool to believe that.

The map is huge (no fast travel) , but mostly the locations look all the same..and most annoying thingsis that

the enemies are hard to kill, but once they are killed, they respawn back in one minute...which is terrible.

and enemies spawn in all intersecting directions and they are annoying as hell...and unlike RPG games, in this FPS game,

it is so unrewarding to kill an enemy since all you get to loot is their broken weapon.

anyways, I didnt wanted to post review on Far cry2.

I just envy all of you who couldnt buy Far cry2...and I really envy some of you who hesitated between Far cry2 and Fallout3, and chose Fallout 3.'
