my ideas for PES5 are:
1. Championship/ League 1,2 and any other major leagues such as french, german, spanish.
2. All MAJOR teams licenced.
3. Introduce linesmen, ballboys, crowd and stewards
4. Crowd chants
5. To be able to dive, stop opponents by pulling there shirts (or anything like this), great players should have a signature trick that only they can perform.
6. More options in the editing mode such as ball creation, to be able to edit stadiums like the netting, grass wearability etc.
7. Chip penalties, heart beat (vibrating control) on important set pieces.
8. Transfers in the league mode, battle other teams for a players signature.
9. Add your face to the game using an Eyetoy or something, make your own boots, make more realistic faces.
10. Better comentary, i liked the idea about the MOTD thing, better things to unlock in the PES Shop.

Thanks for your time, i think the game would still be great even if only 1 of these ideas are used in PES5, i will still buy it over FIFA.

I would like to see a more continuous master league, and more managerial elements coming through, not to champ manager depth, but features such as being able to move teams or be sacked if results are poor. I think it's about time they used proper currency for wages and transfers, I think they use points to get round the translation of currencies between countries. I think Konami need to put more time and thought into PES5, this is their best game, and with full licenses and more regional personalisation (?!) they could potentionally sell as much as (spit) FIFA, especially with the three formats the series is now on. The gameplay is there and is more or less perfect, I think now the series needs more depth and polish, without going down the FIFA route of EA predictability.

As well as fixing the goalies there should be proper goalie mistakes e.g Cudicini Vs Arsenal and Carroll Vs Tottenham.

What, you want to fix the keepers (who are perfectly good anyway) and then have them throw the ball over the line? If you play with a team with a crap keeper it's great anyway, as you have no idea what he's gonna do. Keepers with the late 70 stats for keeper skills, but high reflexes and power are my favourites, as they dive and jump all over the shop, they are virtual Barthez's!

No ML at all just have the regular domestic leagues with international club competitions. Do it like This Is Football where they have all the competitions including Community Shield, Itercontinental Cup etc, just make it as real as possible.

I would like to see a "restart game" option in the in game menu when playing a 1 on 1 exhibition match to save returning back to mode select.
I would also like to see the player creation mode go back to the way it was in ISS98 when it would give you random stats and you could take them or leave them, that way when you did eventually get a good player it meant things!

20. some players having shirts tucked out and not always in. Not all players have shirts tucked in. There may be more players with tucked out. More players have shirts tucked out then bloody socks put down or up past the knees. Players would look alot more like themselves.

now that would be great, it looks strange when all the players tuck theri shirts in, like Zlatan.

people talked about chipping penalties in PES4 but it was not to be. i think it would be a great idea to be able to chip penalties in PES5. does ne1 agree?

I only have one thing to add,

one of the first iss games i got had like a arcade type thing,it was where you were put in "dificult" situations, say like you would be sweden against brazil and you would be 2 goals down with 10 mins to play and you had to win to progress to the next "level"

It would be great if they brought that back

Most of the 60-over points that I read here are absolutely ridicolous. It's a soccer game we are talking about and many seem to have forgotten! Who cares if the manager doesn't run along the side of the field after a goal (?????) or if some players have the shirt tucked in (?????), a skill called "dive" (??????) and worse!!! I can't believe this crap! What we will always need is strive to improve gameplay. My advices:

1 - The controls. They need improvement. There are too many buttons' combinations and too many useless features implemented. Time to go back to a simpler and more intuitive control system. See my "Guide to perfection" in this same forum. This is a *PRIORITY*

2 - AI. It's one of the hardest aspect to develop. The goalkeeper behaviour on shots in PES4 is generally an improvement over the past (much better and more realistic reaction to shots) Still too often he just stands still and watches a ball enter the net. As every goalie can tell you, *every* goalkeeper dives 99,9% of times when the shot is close-ranged. It's an instinct.

3 - Better and more frequent air contrasts due to smarter AI on marking (especially when it comes to corner kicks/free kicks). Too often an attacker hits with the head in the middle of the penalty box without being contrasted. And when he does, the ball often goes high over the net---> when a player is free to hit the ball so close to the goalkeeper, it should be goal 80-85% of the time. This inconsistancy needs to be fixed.

If Konami would follow my directives we would find in our hands an even finer soccer experience.

113. more stadiums.
114. a snowy pitch.
115. a sort of football analysis show after a match like Match of The Day where they talk about todays chances and interesting fouls etc. - this would be interesting.
116. two-footed tackles etc.
117. a power bar for penaltys.
118. Hartlepool on the game - ;)
119. make it more difficult.
120. the layoff from freekicks easier to score...but i supposse this keeps me wanting to try it alot.
121. better music.
122. money instead of points.
123. golden boot award.
124. goal of the month award. and it also shows you your replay of it again and you get the choice if you want to save it incase you forgot while in game.

thats all i can think of at the moment.. but i'll probably be back later with a few more ;)

- it would be realy cool of you could give an elbow, or punch someone in the face (it's not assumed to be done, but it happens in real life)
- and oh, for heaven's sake, CHANTS! CHANTS! CHANTS! (I loved to ROO-SEN-BOORG thing in Fifa'99)

a game called actua soccer had the ability to elbow players which usualy resulted in a red card
i don't think konami should put diving in PES 5 as actua soccer had this as well but it was pretty crap

just thought of one in the master league how about proper money e.g. Henry would cost £25million rather than 102045 points
