Let me know if this grows onto you. I played it at a mates a few weeks back and was impressed but I also got bored after a while.
The animations, movement, collision and heading are orgasm inducing but below the shiny surface it just seems empty. Maybe I just need to give it a proper go.

I've only got it for the on line mode. I wont be doing a Be a Pro or anything like that and I'm sure when mates come round we'll stick Pro in.

Can't fault the on line, it's easy to find friends and there's no lag and the chat works fine too.

It's a good game, best FIFA I've ever played since '95. But I just don't see the big fuss myself. I'd be in heaven if Pro Evo could offer the same on line as FIFA.

Also one thing, why does it take an age for keepers to get up after attempting a save then the ball hits the cross bar and comes out again!? I let in about 3 goals yesterday where they came of the woodwork and my keeper took ages to get up. It was bloody annoying.

has anyone come across this problem, played an offline game with man utd started the game only to find that the team is missing up to 6 players, no strikers no midfielders and when i go to team selection there are goal keepers without names and rated 0 and then when you sort the team out and start a match it crashes the game, i also tried unranked online with man u and it also crashes, any suggestions


ok now, deleted online squad and saved squads restarted xbox and downloaded newest squad update and saved and everythings ok

This game lacks crackers. Those type of goals where the ball just rolls out to you 30 yards out and you just whack it top corner. The ones you can score on Pro.

I've only ever scored and had scored against me goals from in the box. Not including free kicks.

I think it's very hard to pull them off. Someone scored a volley against me when I was playing online.

I'm still having a hard time to score a free kick, despite holding the L1 or R1 button.

I don't normally press any of the shoulder buttons when I have free kicks around the box, just line yourself with the corner, and shoot. Usually goes in, sometimes goes in via the goalkeepers hand.

I like that it's hard to score from outside the box. It makes scoring them feel good.

The thing with PES was, in 2008 and before, shots from far out come quite easily, so even when you did score 30+ yarders, the fact they happened very often took away most of the shine from them.

It's unconfirmed, but the patch might be out for the 360 at least. Many over at the EA Forums claim to have it, but there's no word from EA confirming that it's been released yet. There was definitely a 360 FIFA update today, but it's not clear whether it's the "patch".

One thing I do know though, is that the update hasn't been released on PS3 yet. :(

Yeah, I agree on that.

Scoring from range is hard but it looks great and feels special when it happens, unlike they did on PES 08, like you said because they happened too often.
