Fifa 11 : Be a Goalkeeper

What do you guys think about it ? i must admit anytime i make a save, i get the same feeling as when i score a goal. I can Easily see me spending alot of my time as a keeper.

Anyone found out any nifty tricks ? I only played it for bout 15 minutes so didn't really discover anything.

Had a little play earlier in the Arena using Cech and it's pretty decent. I did find it pretty boring after a while though and once I got familiar with the controls, using the 2 analog sticks, it's pretty straight forward to save shots.

I must say it looks great when the goalie dives to make a save though.

I believe you and me Mullet have the same passion for playing the goalkeeper. If you do (and I hope you do) join the PESGaming club, it would be nice to have two 'keepers who love playing the same position. I don't mind being the understudy, I may learn a thing or two from you and vice versa.

On topic - I still haven't got to manipulating the feature yet but that reason alone is why I can't wait to get this game on release date. I will share more when I have the game.

I think it's brilliant.

Great fun when you and a mate are playing each other, and it sends you to the arena to practice, one as a player and one as a goalie.

Good fun man, and i'll definitely be making a goalie pro to see what its like in a full game.

I'm in love with the game, what can I say? The Be a Goalkeeper feature has captured my heart. I feel for once in a FIFA series that I am an ultimate player.

The controls may be limited but I think its still fantastic and it delivers very well on its first attempt.

I've been trying various 'keepers like Given, Lloris, Ochoa, Nikopolidis, Gordon, Sorensen, Landreau, Buffon and of course my very own Pro - Greco. I love the way you have to time your every save just like in real life. I also enjoy the rushing out, punch away from corners, 1-1 on situations and even penalty saving, I love all the aspects of this feature simply put.

I have spent more time playing my Pro in the practice Arena than on the game itself. But I've had two friendlies so far and FIFA 11 = superb, and I still haven't touched the online, team chants and manager modes yet!

Controlling the gk it's quite good, didn't give attention in the demo.

I think controlling the GK in an online clubs match would be fun every once in a while, but playing through Career Mode as a 'keeper? No thanks.

Especially after reading on the EA forums about the guys who have played 15 matches, 12 of which finished 0-0, because the AI vs. AI matches suck dick.

i played 2 games as GK and i made like 2 saves for both games. You are spot on it is boring ! so i've made a new mm mode and play my pro as first choice keeper. Unlocking a few things.

thats my GK at 80 overall now. I'm at the stage it'll be harder to unlock things now. from 72 to 80 in 2 days basically.

I use the pro angle as my camera angle online. I'm gonna need to give tele a chance because certain pitches i struggle to even see the ball and 1 pitch had the sun come and go which kinda fucked me over a little bit
