Out tomorrow, no need to pay for the game mode this year either - which makes it seem like they haven't made it any different to what it was last year on FIFA 10, still should be good though.

What's everyone's team names going to be?

I think now that it's free, I'll look into starting a team up. I'll need to read up on the rules beforehand though, as I don't really know much about it.

You play the game and get coins - then with the coins you get, you buy game packs or whatever (bronze, silver, gold) - and in these you'll unlock random kits/badges/players etc

The two free packs at the beginning were definitely needed. I have the Bordeaux away kit now and Riquelme to keep me going.

Nah, unfortunately you can't design your own kits.

Thanks. I had a feeling that might be the case, but you cant' actually create a kit from scratch, like PES, can you? I can see images on the website that suggest you can, but they might have just used existing unofficial kits.

This games is surprisingly addictive. I lost track of time last night. I'm still learning the rules, like I never realised contract periods run per match and therefore, the importance of buying packs, as well as players.

You don't have to buy packs (gold premium are the best, but 7,500 coins for one is daylight robbery if you ask me) for contracts though. You can search for contracts in the trade market, they cost about 350-400 coins on the marketplace.

How do you view your team online? When I click on Play FUT Web, I go to a next page where it says I do not have a FUT09 & FUT10 team. Do I need that to view it on the internet?

Below it (cut out of the image) is a message that says FIFA UT launches on 3rd November, with a Learn More button. When I click that, it takes me to http://www.ea.com/uk/football/fifa-ultimate-team. When I click Play FUT Web Now, I am directed back to the last page. Am I doing something wrong?

Hmmm, I have no idea mate. I played UT on Fifa 10, but I don't know why you'd have to play the game mode in past games to be able to view it online.

It's working fine for me. I don't think I had a team in Fifa 10 although I may have started one off then not bothered with it.

I still haven't got a right back or a manager in all the time I've been getting packs. :faceplm:

I notice green lines between some players which I'm guessing adds to the team chemistry or something? Is there anything else this is for? I have to admit that it is a really fun mode and I'm glad that you don't have to pay for packs like you did in the last few games as I'm not really prepared to fork out a load of cash on this.

Those green lines are there if say your central midfielders either play in the same league as each other, or play for the same team. Obviously 2 team-mates means more chemistry than having 2 CM's and one plays in England while the other's based in Serie A.

But does it increase their attributes or anything? Another thing: Some players have a silver or bronze coloured bit where their stats are, what's that about? Most players just have a black background with the numbers in white but some have a silver background with a greyish/black colour for the numbers.

That just means an attribute has been increased by a certain amount for the next game.

Bronze will mean it's been increased by a little bit, silver more, gold even more - IIRC, the gold was a +10 for whatever stat it was applied to last year.

I remember having this in FIFA 09 and Adebayor's overall ended up being 96 and Niang's was 94 because of all the upgrade packages you could get
