Quick review,
Played one game on Professional and two on World Class. Berry sent me a PSN message written as FIFA12.1 and that is pretty close. But I do like small changes.
I feel like the game is too easy - those who have played against me know I am a pushover so for me to say that might state a problem. Professional was so easy it was boring. World Class was a measurable difference but I feel like a good player can break it down easily.
I love the Matchday feature. Playing a kickoff game as Arsenal and hearing Martin Tyler ripping on the fact that Giroud has not scored yet this season is great real-life orchestration of the feature. Then I score with Giroud and Tyler says "he got the monkey off his back with his first score of the season". Very nice entertainment. Might make me play kickoff games more. Heckuva diversity of commentary to make this happen.
CPU AI Improvement: seems like the CPU will take shots more often outside the box...very nice....also the CPU on the offense just doesn't simply dribble all over the pitch as in 12. CPU will look to pass realistically instead of dribbling from one sideline to the other.
CPU AI where there is No Change: seems like the CPU defense still has magical clears when defending a cross where a quick kick or clearing header miraculously goes straight to a teammate up field (this is my biggest annoyance with FIFA12 and PES2012 - seems like they fixed in PES2013 but not in FIFA13)
First Touch is subtle, so I like it. You can feel it but not an annoying feature. A few times a poor first touch player couldn't head the ball down to himself for a run which seemed very real and because of that the defense caught up with him.
Dribbling is improved slightly and in combination with First Touch it goes together nicely.
To me there is so much more movement going on compared to PES 2013 demo. The field seems so much more alive with movement. the PES demo felt so linear and constrained to me even though I liked it.
I really don't feel PES demo is an incredible piece of machinery that sinks the FIFA demo. Both are good. I play video football for the entertainment value. This FIFA is entertaining.

I know Walmart, Best Buy, and Gamestop almost always have bundle deals in the U.S. but I haven't seen any with FIFA13, although in another week they will likely all have it.

yeah i.c. there's one on walmart that i'm leaning on, it's ps3 + one game (i picked gta 4) + extra controller (dual shock) for 295 bucks. best buy is kind of a rip off merchant and gamestop mostly has refurbs.

did forget about gametop refurbs and would agree with best buy. I typically buy at Best Buy because my family always gives me gift cards for that place so I always save money in the long run. In fact I have $12 for PES2012 trade in there, and $15 more in reward money so it will be nice to take $27 off of that $59 FIFA13 price. WalMart does have the best deals.
that extra controller is nice just to avoid the recharge down time.

EDIT: I provided a longer explanation on the previous page but right after I played a handful of FIFA13 demo matches I went to PES2013 demo and I felt like I had dusted off my old PS2. PES players look ridiculous running around, their legs pump 3x as fast as they should for the ground they cover. I don't feel any huge difference in AIs between the two games other than I feel a whole lot more movement in FIFA. PES seems to force the through ball down the center more often than FIFA.

I got the Demo tweaker to work last night and 6 minute halve matches........So much better
Why EA insist on such a short halve length boggles my mind cause I think it does more harm than good.

The first touch thing is very simple right now, if you run hold sprint your player will have a bad touch if you don't hold down anything he'll have a good touch. That's about it right now, although I'm sure it will improve either in the final game or in Fifa 14.

Played 3 or 4 games this morning and all I thought was meh. Very similar to Fifa 12 with a few adjustments.
Also some silly ref decisions like I got Mannone sent off when it should of only been a yellow card and penalty. Another annoying one was getting a yellow card because Milner went to overhead the ball and Vermaelen ran in barged him off the ball in mid air and Milner ended up kicking Vermaelen...really weird.
I will get it but I'm hoping it grows on me more.

I played three games yesterday - lost 2-0 in the first (Milan-Juve) as I was dicking about at the back, drew the second 0-0 with the same teams (won on penalties) and then drew 0-0 playnig as Juventus against Manchester City but couldn't be bothered with the penalties so quit.
Milan are shockingly bad, just like in real life.
I need to get my CPU and user gaem customisation settings from FIFA 12 and apply those once 13 is released.

Yeah I did in my second Milan-Juve game. One of my lot (probably Pato) stayed down after a challenge and Shreeves basically accused him of diving.
