My defence is quality, I've got 2 quality centre backs, a good right back and Arca as left back, with Bassillas infront of the centre halfs.

Well I know what you mean, hes been consistent for me lately getting 2 9's in a row and two MOTM's. As he has 19 on influence, I feel he would be a good player as my back-up captain and its been working wonders lately anyway. Also, his wonder goal at the start of the season swayed my decision.

I agree with you regarding Arca but I have no choice, I fucked up in the transfer window for wide left players, and only have 1 fit left sided player, which is Arca. And I'd rather have a complete defence than a good left midfielder.

Recently beat Crew 2-1, lost 1-0 to Everton, drew to United 1-1 and beat West Brom 3-2 and West Ham 2-1.

So now I've: (including the game against Crewe in the league cup)

Won: 6
Lost: 2
Drew:3

Considering I've played Arsenal, United and Chelsea and only lost to Chelsea, I'm very happy with that.

4 games, 1 point. (I deserve 6) Anyway, now I'm up against Charlton, 19th v 20th. If I don't get anything here then I'll end up doing what the real Sunderland are doing.

EDIT: I'm fucking cursed. Dominated the game, had twice as many shots, considerably more possession, and I drew 1-1. If there's any justice I should have 9 points from 5 games. As it is I have 2. Not happy.

Ok guys i've just finished my season, i'll just post some stats, i'll post the screens when everyone else has finished.

Players Player - Gonzalo Castro (Sunderland)
Young Player - Gonzalo Castro
Team of the Year - Julio Arca, Gonzalo Castro and Stead
English Player of the Year - Gonzalo Castro
Goal Scorer - 3rd Stead with 21

As you can see I did very well, Gonzalo Castro being the best signing ever, he controled my entire team picking up 5 Young Player of the Month awards and geting an average rating of 7.78.

Stead was the 1 in 3 unstopable strike force, he was 3 goals of being top goal scorer. Henrik Pederson and Elliot are the other 2 both betting into double figures.

Wright and Davies where ever-present and thank god they were, Wright held the defence together and if someone did get through Davies was there to end it.

Wonder midfield signings Vasilis Tsartas, Fernando Moran and Derek Riordan had enough skill to record so glorius victorys such as:

1-0 against Chelsea
3-1 against Arsenal
3-0 against Bolton
4-0 against Portsmouth

Claude Davies didn't manage to get into the first team but for 50k I cant complain, insted he helped the reserves win the league by 5 points, the U 18's also did well coming second by 2 points, got some great players coming into my ranks.

I'm so please with this game that I will continue and hopefully take Sunderland to European glory :)

I've just checked out some of those players, and my signings have better stats (but don't seem to be able to perform the twats) than those guys so I must be doing something terribly wrong elsewhere.

First of Castro is playing in the center of DM, this is where I used to play Alonso as Liverpool, the position gives him the entire pitch to work with, having good creativity and passing leads to all sorts, thats why he got all those awards. Vasilis Tsartas, Fernando Moran and Derek Riordan alternate between my to MC and somtimes play on WFL or WFR, they have great awerness and skills to lay on Stead. Pederson is just great, he lays on Stead and bags a few at the same time. Plus I have a strange traning set so the players have improved fastly. 1.2 M for Castro, now valued at 3.1 over one season.

I'v been on a wonder run lately, i'm bloody thrilled. I'm now 7th in the league after playing 20 matches. I'm on a 7 game unbeaten run, won 6 of them and drew 1. Considering my topgoalscorer and solid center back are both out for a month now i'm very happy with how the team is playing. Although i still hate my defence, every game i struggle to keep a clean sheet. I'm still the team with the most goals against but i'm also team with the 2nd highest goals for.

@Dan, yeah i signed a young keeper for £350k and is now worth £2.3m:cool:

Well the training doesn't really matter over one season, the players don't develop a great deal soon enough to warrant you actually changing the training. However, I am interested in knowing what that training set up is.
