My Liverpool season became a bit boring and I wanted more of a challenge, so I started with Swansea.



I got a few players in, most of which were free transfers, with only Hartson and Edworthy costing me any dosh, and even they were cheap. I said my aim was promotion, I have the team to do it, but I probably should of said top-half finish as, if the team don't gel, which is a possibility, I'm fucked. I'll update after every month and may turn it into a story/diary if I can be arsed. :)

Sorted Niortas' abysmal wage budget out, and made a few signings. Tamas Priskin probably being the highlight thus far, hoping to add a few too him though!

Just tried signing Hameur Bouazza. He wanted £40k p/w. :laugh: Aye, very good.

Due to licensing some National Teams don't have proper players (Germany for example)

To get rid of this go to "C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/data/db/800/lnc/all" or "C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/data/db/801/lnc/all" once there copy the file entitled "fake.lnc" (You may wish to put it in a safe place as backup if needed) then delete the file "fake.lnc" and when you start a new game the countries effected will have the proper squad.

All this file does it put a "mask" on the national teams effected and once you remove it will get rid of the mask.

In my Reading are doing well(February 08). They second a few weeks back. Now they're are 6th.[2nd to 6th have the same amount of points. :shocking:]

Is there any way to make the game go quicker whilst you're on Holiday? I want to see what the players are like in the future out of curiousity but it's taking me fucking ages just to get past a month with it.

Go to Options > Detail Level > Select 'None' at the preset configuration for both club & international competition.

Season is nearly finished, as I finish this is how the table is poised:


Luckily I somehow beat Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal have easy last fixtures, so I had to win it and Kuyt pops up in stoppage time to win it for me :)

Amoo is a gun for me atm, scored on CL debut (a brace) against Barca, then scored again, scored against Chelsea in the FA Cup Semi I lost 2-1 then scored against Man U, I love this guy.
