In my Milan/Amkar game.....
Manager 1 at Milan is now also Czech Republic manager after being approached by both they and Greece. I won the CL, Coppa Italia and Serie A in my second season as in my first and Inter finished sixth in Serie A in 2008/09 meaning they're in the UEFA Cup - they won 3-0 at home to Fiorentina in their CL semi-final only to lose 4-0 away after extra-time. I won the CL beating Fiorentina 3-1. The Italian Cup was where I nearly screwed it up, needing an own goal to beat Lazio 1-0.
My best players of the season were Vailatti (highest average rating in the entire team at around 7.39), Christian Abbiati (shocklingly with an average rating of 7.33), Kaka and Fernando Belluschi. Belluschi got Serie A Player of the Year despite only playing 21 league games (10 goals, 4 assists, 4 MOM awards) compared to Inter's Maicon who had a higher average rating and played 33 games with 8 assists. Strange.
Real Madrid had a £14m bid for Domenico Criscito of Juventus accepted. Liverpool had a £14.25m bid accepted. My bids up to £20m were all rejected without any reason. Lippi's a plank
I need a goalkeeper. I bid £7m for Marco Amelia. It's accepted. I offer him a contract. Cue SIXTEEN clubs including Manchester United (who he eventually joined), Liverpool and Barcelona coming in for him.
After that, I make a ridiculous £26m offer for Igor Akinfeev. It's accepted. I offer a contract. Looking good right? No. Enter Manchester City, offering £20m + clauses and Werder Bremen who are contemplating a bid. Can't these clubs just fuck off and let me buy players? That's where I'm up to right now.
Over in Russia, I'm sixth (and shitloads worse than four of the five clubs above me) with twelve of the 30 games gone. The board only want me to survive (finish in the top 14 of 16) so that's good but a handful of my players want to move to bigger clubs, the bastards. The club also don't have any money which isn't making the board very excited.
