But it would only count upon its first release regardless of whether it is a platform exclusive or not.

It was a close decision for me, between Call of Duty 4 and BioShock. However I chose COD4 for the simple fact that the Mutliplayer is incredible online. BioShock was easily the most emerged I've ever felt in a single player Story and it was such a delight to play. After playing COD4, I'd still say the BioShock story is quite a way better believe it or not, however the COD4 single player is still very good. It is COD4's multiplayer that wins everything for me though, for the sheer fact it will keep me playing all year round, and with friends, it's unbeatable.

PS: PES 2008 doesn't deserve to be in that list.

Individually, CoD 4. However, I feel if more people had played the Orange Box (particularly on PC) it would be voted more, as the games are collectively better.

Yes but, correct me if I'm wrong, it should still qualify as it so does for actual gaming awards that have taken place this year.

It has been a pretty poor year. Most of the hyped games turning out average or flopped but it definitely has to be between Super Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect. Super Mario Galaxy edges it for me though as the game is just brilliant.

Actual awards don't always relate to games released in that same year, they have a particular twelve month window which sometimes falls back slightly into the previous year. This one, being completely unofficial, logical and simply going by the first sentence in Dan's post, do not.

For that reason, Gears of War qualifies in some official "Best of 2007" awards because the XBox release falls within the window despite being November 2006.

I'm adding it anyway to save any further deliberation

Gears of War - X360/PC (on which it rarely works)

What Gears of War rarely plays on PC!? I was looking forward to play it next week! :crymore:

I ran into the most ridiculous error message and after finding out virtually everyone else had the same issue, gave up (I didn't buy it anyway). Some people have had their problems resolved, others haven't. The worst thing is that the error message was not at all helpful so you couldn't exactly start troubleshooting it with any ease.

Aaaaaaaaaaah Hayden Panettiere is so lush.

COD4 for me. I've heard so many brilliant things about Mario though. Would love to play it.

I'm also about to start Bioshock.

Call Of Duty 4 for me. It's just such an exciting game. I get such a rush playing it and it's not too difficult either.
