Gears Of War [360/PC]

I just bought the game yesterday and I think it's excellent.

I've reached the Nightfall bit, where I need to get more amo by the river, but the problem is, I HAVE NO AMO! All I have is a few granades and Dom. I tried a couple of times to get to the amo as is, but I got killed, then I turned on PES6 instead. :blush:

Is there any chance of me getting past those monsters (I haven't really learnt their names yet), or should I just start again?

You mean the conservatory bit? I just use the sniper on boomers or throw frags.

Thanks for the help, Mike. Just completed it on Casual ( I started it when I first got the 360, so needed to get used to the controls etc. ). Time to start it on Hardcore, Haha. Brilliant game. RAAM is a tough bastard. I think it took me atleast 7 try's.

I'm thinking of purchasing this game of www.play-asia.com, this weekend, for £24ish, but, i've heard that the game is crap in the story mode and only good on live, can anyone comment that?

the game is class, it is a must buy
the main game is well gd, i dont hav live and that didn't bother me to much

It's a bit short on story mode but live it's great. Could do with a bit more weapons though.

Doesn't matter anyway, my brother deleted it when starting a new game.

A little tip for you, NEVER get rid of the Lancer. In my opinion it is the best all round gun on the game, and useful for tight situations (chanisaw ). The problem is, if you get rid of it early on it the game then you have to wait untill the later acts (4 & 5) to find another one easily, whereas if you lose the shotgun to get the hammer of dawn, it is easy to find more shotguns as locusts have them all the time.

Cali - Good luck mate, hardcore is hard on your own, i had to do some of the harder bits with a mate (bits of act 3 & 4 really pissed me off). Funnily enough it only took me two go's to beat RAAM on hardcore, and the first of those go's i got killed because of his fucking kryll, ugly twat can't fight for himself!

Should do Insane with a friend on live. If you complete all acts on insane before hardcore it automatically gives you gamerscore for hardcore acts aswell as the insane and you get a free gamer pic.

Yeah sure but the problem is. My Xbox is being replaced and it only got collected today so I'm not sure when I'll have it back.

GOw got boring for me, too small and stuff. I am forever playing Vegas nowadays and I think I must be the only one who prefers this? Online I mean not offline as GOW wins but for online with mates larking about it has to be Vegas.

I have it, but I'm a bit bored with me x-box now, I usually only come on Live for demos or to see if Konami have patched PES.

Konami will not patch PES for ages they are bone idle. Also get on Vegas mate that is a top laugh and a good little team game.
