On player development curves, when a player gets to 95 for any given ability category, he then seems to have to get a much higher match rating in order to get the development points for that category at the end of a match.
Which brings me to the issue of goalkeepers, I've got to the point now where I have a pretty good squad and I win the majority of matches without conceding too many goals. But even though I'm keeping clean sheets my goalie never seems to get more than a 5.5 or a 6. So when it comes to the development points at the end of the game anything at 95 or over is blacked out and he doesn't get any points.
Does this mean that its pointless trying to develop a good keeper from a young age (I signed Lev Yashin at aged 18)? Cos it seems like he'll just get stuck at 95s for response, defence, keeper skills etc.
Is it better to just sign an older goalkeeper who may not last as long but already has the stats up around the 98-99 mark?
