Goals in 45th and 90th minute

Hi guys/girls,

In online games, I concede and score a lot of goals in the 45th and 90th minute. Also, when I score a goal, I concede goals straight from the kick of so often, I am wondering if this is rigged or that is is mere coincidence.

Also in online matches? And why should they rig/script this game. I can understand they script the cpu in human vs CPU matches a little bit, but why on earth would they want to have any influence in online games?

its rubber-banding/scripting/handicapping. The single biggest issue in PES if you dont understand how it works, what triggers it and how to counter it.

Not in every case though sometimes you just concede to a well worked goal that your user skill couldn't handle that time. This i'm ok with its normally followed by a 'you got me there' 'you're pretty good'.

The ones i hate are the goals you simply cant stop, the AI decided you will concede :(

Yep. That's what finally sent me to FIFA (among other things). I got so sick of scripted/fixed online games that I'd had enough.

Ignorance is bliss g221911g?

If you honestly think Fifa is less scripted, you're mistaken. With fear of destroying the game for you, at least it did for me once I was made aware of it, is that Fifa is only about 1 on 1 duels. The rest of your defenders don't move at all in accordance to the defender you're pressuring opposition with, and there are always huge holes to exploit.

Have fun, if you're able to...

Maybe Sabatasso.

All I know is that when my opponent makes a pass, my players aren't frozen (when I'm controlling them) or deliberately running away from the ball. And the ball isn't magically attached to the attacker in FIFA. And I can intercept passes when I'm standing in front of the ball in FIFA. And autopass doesn't mean forcefield in FIFA.

I haven't found the game to be strictly one on one duels although it's definitely more prevalent than in PES.

In fact, I'm able to defend very well with Arsenal against Barca, Madrid, City, Spain, Barca, Madrid, Barca, Madrid, and Barca.

I find the game punishes bad decisions much more, and the game flows much more organically than in PES. There are tons of little things as well. The manual pass is actually manual. Switch player actually switches to the correct player. etc.

I'm having fun for now thanks. Maybe as I go on, more flaws will emerge. Maybe not.

EDIT: How could I not mention the shooting????

^Ofcourse you're able to defend in fifa. In Fifa the positioning DOES NOT matter at all, all that matters is the strength and speed of the defender. Nothing else. Don't get me wrong though, fifa does some things better than pes, but in the end, all it is is a cover of silk clothing to cover what's bad in it. The flaws aren't as appearant as in pes, but they're there.

And as for the 45 and 90 min goals. Those happen on fifa much, much more especially the CPU AI cheat goals.

BTW, Both pes and fifa need serious sorting. There are other games out there with twice as much to offer.

But you can't play with the modded version online, and that's all i do. I like PES, I just find it ridiculous they scripted so much. If this stays in PES13, I'm not sure if I'll buy the game tbh. It's sick that you play online against a mediocre player and get 10 big chances, but lose with 1-0 because he scores with Messi from a corner. And off course, sometimes you've got bad luck. The problem is that you can see the 'bad luck' coming from miles away, but are incapable of stopping it.

In offline aswell like teams just become amazing and make every single pass perfect and thats the thing you know when its happening and you can just sit there and wait for the goal it wouldnt be so bad if they covered it well but its just so obvious such a frustrating game especially in BAL.

You say this as if you know these answers, care to elaborate? It could very well save alot of pes players from walking away. As things stand at the moment, I am not going to buy 2013 on release day like always, I am thinking of borrowing one or renting one and if it is still as scripted as ever, not bothering with footy games.

There Jenkey patch for PC users wipes out the problems with scripting. In terms of scripting in layman terms it is just a form of aggressive AI where the code is processing that little bit quicker. It can be frustrating but without it Konami could argue the game could become that little bit too easy to master like previous iterations. I myself am not a fan of PES2012, I owned it for a day. In that time I played it solidly for around 5 to 6 hours and realised the Speed Merchant card had somewhat ruined my gaming experience. It left me disenchanted with the game.

I've since played it at a friends house of several occasions but the only saving grace of this PES is the 2v2 online.

I didn't and have not yet witnessed any scripting on online games. Any issues could be associated and explained as bandwidth issues.

There is definately scripting, but there is also a movement mirror system. That is, when you press a direction the AI instantly reacts and moves the same way with no response time. You can see this with corners. Moving back and forth across the front of the box and the AI will follow you without fault. There is no response time, (the time it takes for the opposition to react to the change of direction) which means the game is reading your control inputs and using it to move its own players so you cant get away from them.

When this kicks in you know about it as the AI players always know exactly where your going and can tackle you easily. When they have the ball they ALWAYS get away from you no matter how tightly marked they are.

There is also definitely scripting in the online games. And it's not due to lag or it would be noticeable throughout the game as opposed to specific times within a game.

Doesn't matter as Konami and EA (EA is hilarious, I can't think of one thing they do well, except for marketing) will never get another dollar from me. As much as I like football, these people don't know it and can't program it. I'm done with the genre until someone new steps in.

I havent played PES online since the disaster that was PES 2010 online. The network lag was atrocious and frankly only a complete moron could have designed the system it had.

Playing the game against my mates who are only a couple of miles away we had the game lag out non-stop every time we tried to play it. And it wasnt firewall/network on our end, we regularly play other games together without issues of the kind we had in 2010.

We have never played the game online since then, as its simply not worth it as the network system Konami use is frankly shit. And on top of that its only ever a handful of teams you see and 99 players out of 100 cheat or hack. Its still the same with 2012, so no point playing it other than to remind yourself just how bad it really is.

Unless a miracle happens and Konami admit they cant code online networks and contract out for a proper network system then it will never be good enough.

Lol. You haven't played it online since 2010, yet you know it still lags and that 99/100 players cheat or hack. What a bunch of crap. This year's PES is pretty much lag free (especially 1v1) if you have a proper connection. Also, only few players try to cheat, but tell me a game where they don't? Beside, you can form/join communities and play competitions with them only. If someone cheats he can be kicked. Why do I even care discussing this with you..

@Sminky. I've played about 1000 online games now, scripting is very obvious. the problem discussing it is that you can always say it's all just 'coincidence'.

You wanna give it a rent m8. Lag was the very reason i got rid of pes2011. Never had any probs with 2012!
