So what does everyone think of GT4? Is it as good as the hype or are you disappointed? Personally, i think the game is fantastic, alot better than i expected. The cars handle alot more realistically, making the game tougher, and i'm very impressed with the amount and variety of cars and circuits.

i purchased it yesterday....
everytime i have got a GT game i do the licenses first and get them out the way...
they have increased them to 16 tasks per license which i'm not impressed about as i couldnt do one or two of them but the realism is second to none without a doubt..
this time once you have finished a license you get a car no matter what trophies you got...whereas in GT3 you had to get all golds to recieve a car..i am very happy about this..
i have done the first two licenses now so im doing okay...
very good game ..

There's loads of Audis (A2, A3, A4, A6, TT etc.....) and all the usual super cars. Still no Ferrari or Lamborghini (or maybe i haven't noticed them yet). Theres some really good real-life circuits as well, eg the full length Nurburgring circuit which took me 8 minutes to do one lap in my Golf GTi!

The best thing about the game is the amount of cars, from all era's, like 60's and 70's American muscle cars, and 80's japanese sports cars. Theres also loads of average cars like the Seat Ibiza, Ford Ka and Opel Corsa for instance, which were left out of GT3.

I'm neither a racing game nor a GT freak, but this game is simply amazing. Just got it today, Nürburgring circuit is really stunning, have played only Arcade mode so far, can't say anything about the "career mode"

Don't buy GT4, it's too much like GT3, if you have a bit of spare dosh, buy GT3 instead. I like some of the features of GT4 though, like the new 'cars' included and the driver controls (eg triangle = overtake)

thats just silly telling someone to buy GT3 above GT4...really this must be clear sarcasm...
i havent really had time to play on it today unfortunately as i had a school match...but now i have the night :D
the cars handle better on GT4 by a mile...i mean more realistically
tracks are more than twice as good as they were on GT3...
better variation of tracks as well
many,many,many,many,many more cars on GT4 :D
overall it is a much better game especially the layout...
if you dont have it ...you really have got to buy it even if you arent a racing fan..

i have got a steering wheel..so i might give that a bash later

No I'm being honest. The games are very similar so I'd rather spend £20 or cheaper than £40 on a game that is pretty much the same albeit just a few updates. I'm not a big fan of the series anyway, prefer Burnout. At least you can damage your car on that..

you can get GT4 for 99p...just pop down to 'GAME' and hand in any four games you like except 'football and wrestling' and you can get any game for 99p..
i just handed in four old bangers from like 2001/2002..

How can you tell that the cars handle more realistically if you don't drive in real life?

I don't wanna seem like a complete retard but i'm finding it really difficult controlling my car going round corners.

Any advice...?

well if you are about to spin out just steer the car and try and keep it under control while tapping X..just keep tapping it until you get into a better position and then you can go again..

i got this game on Wednesday and it is damn near as real as you are going to get for years to come..
i havent really done much in 'GT Mode'..apart from the Licenses at the moment to be honest..i have completed:
National-B
National-A
International-B
havent really tried the next two yet..just been relaxing and doing a few races ..
i have completed about 2% ...
my cars are as follows..i have pictures of them as well which took me fucking ages to find but i am proud of them esspecially one out of the bunch:

Autobianchi A112 Abarth 1979

Buick Special 1962 - this is by far my favourite...an old school classic lowrider..took me sometime to afford this bad boy

Nike One 2022

Pontiac SunFire GXP 2002
