Bit of a lurker but heres my point of view.

As soon as you start with the omfg the ai cheats etc... Did you see that, f*ck off thats bull****. You heading down the wrong path, take a break stop playing for a while but most of all remember its a game. Restarting the game i normally find your already in a bad mood and its not going to improve unless you get off to an excellent start or get a lucky break next time. Its not worth it.

Are you telling me you've never profited from the same scripting that you've lost goals by, I have lots of times, the ai scores their own own goals, the ai keeper sometimes forgets the importance of the ball and just stands there.

So while yes there is scripting and its evident that its there and annoying, what goes around comes around. I still take the stance that simply losing the ball at bad times or in bad areas its fundementally me at fault when i get scored on, i accept for instance unlike some that if the player gets 1 on 1 with my keeper you can expect to be scored on.

Just like you have a keeper making a save but it still goes past him under him or over, it happens to ai keepers too.

On Top Player you can expect to get it handed heavily on a plate with cheating on top, yes the ai basically says deal with it, and i think thats something you've got to respect, play on that level if you can or get out of the kitchen, or go play fifa for easy mode.

Im not knocking you its the the way it is.

So your conclusion is ..the game cheats so deal with it???...So next year when Seabass sells his BS about overhauling the AI making it the next best thing besides p*ssy...I should tell him to kiss my a** ??? Is that what your saying??


Because that's not Tech's point...his point is that the game doesn't beat him, but on the other hand it's a complete BS when the "luck" you described in your comment happens 4-5-6 times in 10 games..

I have never seen so many websites bashing this years game ...ever.

Theres always been bugs in PES if its not 30m+ longshots, freekicks or corners conceeded = goals conceeded its something else like freekicks. Well the way i see it theres ways of avoiding theres situations for the most part of the time. Be careful where you give away fouls, try your hardest not to conceed corners and close the opposition down quickly.

Just my take, but I have to admit the "cheating" or "scripting" or whatever the fuc* people want to call it is definitely the worst I have seen with this year's version. I'll keep playing as I'd rather play PES with it's flaws than FIFA, but it would be nice if it could be improved...this year and with future releases. This issue just seems to get worse every year in my opinion.

I have been playing since early PS2 days and PES is still my footy game of choice. I love the whole master league experience. I create a "super league" and move all the best teams into a single Div 1 division and Div 2. I then start in Div 2 with a fictitious team and the master league tools they give you (i.e. Ordaz, Jaric etc.) I like this format as I find it more challenging to be just playing good teams after my team has built up. But it can also be a real challenge at the beginning on Top Player wtih 5 min halves as the ML default team is so poor. Lots of 0-0 games or 1-0 wins/defeats. I find the "scripting" issues to be most challenging at this beginning stage. It can be so freaking annoying to have some crazy AI shi* happen either to tie up a game or steal a win late in a game.

The stuff I am seeing more so with this version than others is:

* Getting up 1-0 and then finding the AI kicks it up a notch with the ensuing kick-off and ties it up immediately. The game maybe has been playing at a certain flow or pace and then all of a sudden they are untouchable. I understand momentum will happen and a team would likely really try to tie things up, but sometimes it is so completely unrealistic it is laughable.

* AI scores a goal right before the end of a half or the end of the game. This seems to happen fairly frequently. You feel like you have played a good half or game and then just get robbed at the end.

* Lots of weird goalie shite like others have talked about. A through ball coming into the box and the goalie running out there and diving to get it, but missing the ball. Then some dick on their team nonchalanty saunters in for an easy wide open goal. Or really lame shots that seem to go right through the goalie's legs.

* Defending through balls becomes more difficult in late stages of a half or game as well. It seems like the D sometimes forgets how to cover and you have to be very careful they don't get a breakaway.

I do find it interesting that the "scripting" or "cheating" doesn't seem to happen much in the FIFA games. I find that aspect of the FIFA games pretty good. I just enjoy PES gameplay more and prefer the Master League format.

Anyways, just my thoughts. I know lots of posters have or will have apparent explanations for all my scenarios. But this is my take after years of PES gameplay. The AI buggery seems worse now than ever. Not enough to make me no longer want to play, but enough for me to occasionally yell out "YOU GOTTA BE FUC*ING SHI**ING ME!" in the late stages of a game!

Ha, the wife always asks why I play this game so much when it seems to piss me off so much. Says all she can hear is me shouting and swearing away downstairs in my man lair! hehe, poor lass just doesn't understand.

The thing..for the past 3-4 years we have seen a game deteriorate to a point where it isn't acceptable anymore..no matter what patch you throw against it..

Actually it isn't MY job to patch a game I PAID hard earned Cash for just to make it acceptable in the first place...

Also the dissapointment year in, year out and blatant lies by Seabass is just a smack in the face of loyal consumers to the brand..

why cant they put up a decent Referee in 5 years
why did they alter shooting to a point where you have to tap the shooting button when your players at the kickoff line..in order for him to have a shot in the 16 yard box..

Am I surprised the list of promises Konami gave us have almost all been half assed or broken? Nope I knew it would happen, but the fanboi deep down had to get the game hoping anything would improve.

CPU puts in a throughball for one on one, you press triangle/Y get the keeper to come out.

He begins to come out, then the CPU realities that he will actually get the ball before the striker, so he stops for a second, then starts running again, so that the striker just beats him to it and scores.

Best one I had was very similar but he actually got there before the striker and then stood there hunched over the ball for a few seconds like he was getting ready to take it from behind just long enough for the forward to poke it through his legs... the ball into the goal that is :w00t

You know, I don't really care about the most awful goals I concede. Ofcourse, it's frustrating when it happens, but I take it for granted. I'm pretty good at PES and if the game wouldn't bullshit me, the game would be too easy!
It's this what has been bugging me in FIFA for a long long time, the opponent wouldn't even come close to my goal.

With that said, I like the challenge. I know, that if I concentrate 100%, I CAN beat the cheating AI.

Its not the glitches that kill me, its the supermode where they suddenly doing cryuff turns at will and you have slow CBs like terry outsprinting Cronaldo. The ball is glued to their feet and the same player will shrug off two or three tackles from the front, the player that loses the ball will barge through your tackling player and get the ball back IN ONE MOTION, sometimes multiple players.

I wouldn't mind so much if they picked the right pass more often or showed more dribbling skill etc. but sometimes its soooooooooooooo blatant its like the other team is on fast forward. You all have seen it!!!!!!

Usually if I feel AI will cheats, sometimes I'll just restart the match so all is done and sometimes fight and beat the cheating AI..

Last night game, is really fucking ridiculous. Against Inter Milan in CL Final.. They newcomer Higuain is unstoppable. Terry, A.cole and Alex just stand on the place watching he run into the box, run at the lightning speed and score a fucking early goal. Try everything possible to find the equalizer but just wasting time, even everything controlled by them. GK save the ball into drogba path, just need to touch in the ball but somehow anelka run to the ball path, deflected and goal kick.. At very last minutes, they got a free kick around 30M, Sneijder take it and goal, Cech just watching the ball doing nothing. :realmad: 0 - 2 down. Restart match no1.

Kick off again, just need 56 sec for them to score a goal, sneijder hard sliding tackle from behind, no call. sending the ball to Eto,o doing little sprint past Essien and Ivanovic, body challenge by Terry, Unbeatable and terry the one who fall down lol and sending the ball to higuain foot for easy finish. :shocking:
Frustated to find a leveler, Stoppage time once again they got a free kick, Sneijder take it and goal again with cech doing nothing?? :shocking: Restart match no2.

Match no 3, 87 minutes, seems to be an extra time after frustating attack and so much lucky not concede a goal, lol.. Once again got a free kick, Sneijder take it and once again dejavu!!! :brickwall: WTF, Is he a free kick god!!!!!?? :brickwall:

3 times foul that not supposed to be called and all is a goal. Fuck that, just like we play manager games and we can't do anything :realmad:

Enough for that, switch off the game and play another game that can't make me mad.

Yea but what is the right key when it comes to the game, is it everytime the computer scores its scripted??????

I personally feel like im watching a cut scene when the computer scores a header from a corner,as i usually play with 2 tall center back and I always scout and look for heading and jump abilities for my defenders. But that happens in football dominant defenders get beaten when challenging for the ball.

For the most if the computer scores a goal form a stupid keeper mistake or a defender magically getting pulled back, I just see it as the fun of it as watch Match Of The Day any week and you will see all these mistakes each week.

Personally I have only experienced these events a handful of times not enough that it ruins the experience. But if your playing in a champions league final and its 1-1 and the computer scores and unstoppable shot is that going to annoy you because its scripted.

i just started ML again after getting frustrated with BaL ... boy was i dumb!

I'm playing on top player lvl, since i consider myself a solid player, but the stuff the AI pulls on me to win is just sick!

Here's a few examples:
- Last minute of the match, me leading 1-0 and successfully passing the ball among my defenders, when suddenly.. i pass to my GK (86 overall, mind you) who makes THREE steps forward, then somehow flicks the ball to his right back side and continues running on, THEN STOPPING! as the opponent rushed to push the ball into an empty net (the defenders were, off course, simply observing the spectacle..)

- again, leading the game till the last minute, when some dude smacks the ball across the entire field, THROUGH my defender's head, straight to some 60s overall player who then volleyed the ball on first impact, with his left foot (he's a righty, i checked afterwards!), from OUTSIDE the penalty box, and somehow beating my, supposedly quality keeper.

-over 50% of the matches, the opponents don't even threaten my goal for the entire time (along with my players hitting posts, missing superb opportunities, and their GK pulling some miraculous saves..), and then, during the last seconds of the game, they develop some superhuman abilities for one last attempt during which my defense seems hopeless and ends up conceiving a goal 90% of the time.

and not to mention the obvious favourism towards the ''big'' team such as man utd. and barca ... it's like, no matter how bad they play (and usually, they do?), the team somehow manages to either score in the most crucial moments, or keep equalizing soon after you score.. i know the mentality and quality is the reason these teams are the best, but i feel they should be a tough opponent for playing normally well during the entire match, and not by playing shit, yet somehow always scoring when needed, just to make you work harder (which often proves impossible)

One ML complaint I have is why the hell do they put two international matches in amongst the last 3 games of the Premiership season? That's what I want is 5 of my starters returning 1/2 exhausted with down pointing arrows when I am trying to win the league.
Eventhough the other teams must have to put up with the same, I never get the feeling it effects them in the same way.

in master league one of my complaints is the fact that when i have an internacional game i have to put the international players to rest and my subs are allways either with blue or purple arrow and i cant win the game and that as costed me a lot of good points...

i just stopped playing BAL coz of stupid AI..and got back playing ML..i dont see any AI stupidity in this mode (cept for GK)..its all bout ur strategy and how u play..at first yes i was like wats wrong with this CB..always move away from the ball and left the CF he should be marking..but then i change the strategy..i think it was compactness..i put it on MAX..and it worked..tight marking and good defensive..so u should tweak the strategy to suit ur style of play

BTW i agree with rui17fcp..international game is a bitch..always scheduled BETWEEN games and even worse if its important games such has CUP games
