Headers on goal... Oh I see!!!

I've been having issues with heading the ball when crossing the ball in to the opposition's box...
Usually the header 95% of the time spoons off my players' head and wide or over the bar.

Not so much anymore after watching a video on YouTube... Once the ball is crossed into the area, use the manual shoot button and aim at goal. I have scored approx 7 goals in 7 games from headers.

I wish Konami would advise us on things like this rather than us having to find out by other means.

I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who already know about this tip.

I will have to try this.
What I do is press the opposite of the goal when heading. To make space I manually move the player to the far post and when I'm about to cross it and then send him towards the near post usually or just to get a yard on the defenders depending where the space is. Really is the best feeling manually positioning your players and connecting perfectly.

I've played about 100 games online and don't think I've ever see anyone use the manual off the ball movement. It's a bit awkward but I use it quite a lot during the match.

I too try the same advised by MAK in the thread. I feel that as realistic as well. Before crossing the ball, I manually control a player in the box and move him around and then time my jump to meet the ball perfectly and give the ball some speed. Some times they click and many times they fail and that is how it is supposed to be.

With both options I am heading in goals for fun!
Jaap Stam is in my Swansea team. So far in 18 Prem Games, he's scored 13 goals - all headers from corners!

I'm manually selecting Stam in the op's area when taking a corner, manual shot and bam.... In off the bar!

I'm really starting to love this game!

Yes, you're right. Hold the manual shot button once the ball's been crossed in.
Even if your player doesn't get his head to the ball, you'll certainly notice the difference in his approach to head the ball.

Sounds kinda cheap to me... If it really is that effective and easy to pull off.

It isnt that easy and that frequent to score.. You need to battle it out.. The best corners ever to be included in a game.. They feel real life like at least for me.. I push, search for free space to head home a goal.

You can use the pass button as well, if close to the goal. The "GK magnet" seems to be off on finishes made with the pass button, compared to shot button.

Manual shoot = for PS3 hold down the L2 button + square and point the arrow that appears on the pitch towards your intended target.
