L1 for PS3 is LB shoulder button for 360. Mainly used for executing early cross.
So why would I bother using it in a dead ball situation as somebody suggested on here? It doesn't seem to make much sense.

Iniesta1986...
Okay, let's not get irate over this.
I am sorry you feel this way over a topic which I thought would help others overcome a bad flaw made by Konami.
In the first 50 matches of PES2013 I scored one header from a set-piece. People on this forum felt the heading in this game was had a serious flaw.
I saw a YouTube clip (posted on page 1) on how to over-come this flaw.
Since I saw this clip, the game in my opinion has become so much better. Hence the reason for this this topic.
I wish Konami wouldn't have made such an error, or had they? How can we be sure that Konami hadn't purposely changed the heading to be like this and just didn't tell anyone?
Another example of Konami holding back information on important gameplay:
The penalties in PES2012 had changed drastically from PES2011 (and beyond). Luckily they're back to normal now. But who knew that that holding the directional pad/stick too long would result in the penalty going very wide. Konami never disclosed this info, leaving it up to someone to show us how on YouTube.
Okay, cool.
Sorry to hear that when playing online this tip obviously causes serious advantages to anyone with a set-piece. If i had of known this i may not have created this topic.
I really wish the developers of this game would allow this game to be played on an even keel and eradicate any unfair advantages caused by glitches.
Iniesta1986, you're cool and thank you for your input on this topic. I will remove the YouTube clip. Not sure what I can do about this topic though.
Sorry about my reaction, but i am furious. I play online and i received so many corner goals just like you score. It s a glitch. My oponnent has 5 corners and ALWAYS scores at least 3 goals. That is sad and unreal and it s killing the game.
Why do you think Konami should give information about everything? I think it will kill the game experience that way. We have training, we have practise... i like to find new thing by myself, not that i have to read it from game developer. That is the beauty of the game.
Would defending a corner with a manual header work?
Okay, cool.
