Okay, let's not get irate over this.
I am sorry you feel this way over a topic which I thought would help others overcome a bad flaw made by Konami.

In the first 50 matches of PES2013 I scored one header from a set-piece. People on this forum felt the heading in this game was had a serious flaw.
I saw a YouTube clip (posted on page 1) on how to over-come this flaw.
Since I saw this clip, the game in my opinion has become so much better. Hence the reason for this this topic.

I wish Konami wouldn't have made such an error, or had they? How can we be sure that Konami hadn't purposely changed the heading to be like this and just didn't tell anyone?

Another example of Konami holding back information on important gameplay:

The penalties in PES2012 had changed drastically from PES2011 (and beyond). Luckily they're back to normal now. But who knew that that holding the directional pad/stick too long would result in the penalty going very wide. Konami never disclosed this info, leaving it up to someone to show us how on YouTube.

Sorry about my reaction, but i am furious. I play online and i received so many corner goals just like you score. It s a glitch. My oponnent has 5 corners and ALWAYS scores at least 3 goals. That is sad and unreal and it s killing the game.

Why do you think Konami should give information about everything? I think it will kill the game experience that way. We have training, we have practise... i like to find new thing by myself, not that i have to read it from game developer. That is the beauty of the game.

Okay, cool.
Sorry to hear that when playing online this tip obviously causes serious advantages to anyone with a set-piece. If i had of known this i may not have created this topic.

I really wish the developers of this game would allow this game to be played on an even keel and eradicate any unfair advantages caused by glitches.

Iniesta1986, you're cool and thank you for your input on this topic. I will remove the YouTube clip. Not sure what I can do about this topic though.

I didnt know that you are so honest and good guy. So once again, sorry about my reaction. But i payed for the game, and now that game is ruined online. I mostly play online so this is a big deal. Come from work, wanna relax a bit, and i have being cheated by lagging, trough ball, and now from set piece...

Thank you, man. Ah, forget about the topic, most of people saw that on youtube, not here.

Cheers

Would defending a corner with a manual header work?

Great of you to admit that there is a down side to this. You obviously meant no harm, and it's great so see that you are big enough to see others side of the story. I too play almost exclusively online, and it's bar none the most important aspect of the game. It takes Konami way too long however to address exploits, and yet they are so blatantly obvious to everyone playing the game that the result is that there are a lot of angry people who just want the game to be tweaked slightly so that we can enjoy the online experience. My hope is that the reason they have been so slack at doing this this year is because the main dev team is not focussed on the project, but working on PES 2014 instead. That's my hope, but of course it probably wouldn't be the main team working on the fixes anyway... Still, it seems like they have less resources on the game this year in general.

Also, just my two cents is that Konami never told us about this way of doing headers because they never intended headers to be done this way. It is obvious that headers were toned down and made almost impossible because they were far too easy last year, but they obviously got the balance wrong and went too far in the other direction with it (as they often do with these sorts of things). To me, then, it seems like the manual headers are really a work around, and my guess is that during QA testing nobody would have ever even thought about trying to do headers manually and see how it works. If they had, given their clear intention to make headed goals less easy, I honestly think they would have tweaked the manual headers to make them more difficult to pull off. I'm not saying there isn't a flaw with headers in the game, but I find it really hard to believe that Konami "intended" us to use manual to do headers but just failed to tell us. It's much more likely that this is something they never tested and that it's just a matter of players finding a work around. Unfortunately it seems to work a little too well though, which is too bad, because if it were a little less effective then we would have found the perfect balance!

One last thing I'll say though is that in my experience scoring goals from set pieces and corners is actually easier (without this manual method) than in PES 2012. In fact, I find that without using any sort of manual method that I score enough from corners and set pieces to feel like it's actually pretty much perfect in terms of percentage goals/chances. That's me though, and maybe it's just my experience because obviously there is an element of randomness involved.

Scoring headers from normal crosses during play however is what I find really hard in PES 2013 compared to 2012.
