Hey guys Pro evo 2012 cheating AI.

I'm sorry, but I manage it fine. I also often send players on run, pass to another player and then to the player I sent running.

I also often create space by holding "change player" button as I pass the ball to send the passer instantly on a run when he passes the ball, and also send another player on a run at the same time.

I then have 0 to 2-3 passing opportunities to players on a run, and in most cases space to run with the ball in.

In this version of PES, you simply need to be smarter than the previous versions, and I quite like it despite some obvious flaws.

The days when you could counter all day long are gone, as the AI will make sure of it by fair or unfair means. Important CL matches in ML on higher difficulties are too much decided by AI interference, but I can live with it for now.

I won 2-1 with Spurs in the CL final against Real Madrid in a game where I only managed to keep the ball in their half a couple of times. The rest of the match was played in or around my area, my players was so unresponsive that I almost sent an anthrax letter to Konami, so I have my beefs with them as well.

My biggest issues aren't really with the cheats, I've come to understand why they're there. But it amazes me that Konami has failed to put a hard cap to how much AI players can be boosted, how much human players can be nerfed and how much momentum is allowed to increase the speed of the game. In many cases it feels like watching TV on fast forwards, even at -2. I use -1 as a base, but in some games I must use -2 to even see what the hell is going on.

The first couple of seasons in BAL and ML the speed is fine, but once your player/team is becoming world class, the game speed issue nearly breaks my mentality to go on. I am now in season 5 with Spurs, and it's sometimes more a chore than fun to play a game. But if I only play a couple of seasons, it's OK.

A little adjustment and PES13 should be fine.

Playing as Real Sociedad last night, we had little time to shift the ball from one player to another on ML - such was the speed and aggression of the pressing from the opponents.

I've edited nearly all teams formations in my DB to make them play more like they do for real and tested it ingame, I only a few teams with 15 Pressing or more, as most teams are set between 8 and 12. Compactness is also between 8 and 12 when I think about it.

A combination of low compactness and high pressing makes an awful match indeed. It's unrealistic and the AI does not seem to tire realistically from it either.

If you fix that issue, you'll notice that 90% of the players aren't nackered at 70 minutes as well which is usual with Konami tactics. On my DB, a player with 80 Stamina can occasionally manage 90 minutes without leaving the "green".

Konami should have balanced the strategies better by default, though. It's a bitch to fix all those teams every time...

Tasso, you are playing a completely different game to me.
Apparently Ryan giggs can still take on and repeatedly beat 3 men in my game of pro evo 2012 and out sprint James milner with the ball.

I saw an insane one two pass which aloud fletcher to hit some kind of deny all physics goal from 30 yards (on top level)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vlN0dZBrzU (you get some loud hissing for a few seconds into watch your speakers)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3avwIhYbk4 (doing its bounce it off everything to score trick)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1wkX-dGxq0 (Amazing clearance)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pmX6Glm38A (avergae AI foul goes unpunished)

There should be more videos of these I could play one game on top setting and record about 10 Incidents per game!!! why are people asleep to this?

I don't play "Top Player" difficulty, everybody should know that it's the setting for meth users.

"Professional" and "Superstar" settings are the ones with the least cheating. There are some momentum shifts and the odd case of "untouchable player" but nothing as in the vids you link to.

You have to unlock "Superstar" setting, a setting that was previously only available in the Winning Eleven version of the game.

I never said the game was perfect, I was just saying that compared to PES6, which everybody seem to refer to as Nirvana, PES2012 is just as good or better.

Im really trying with this game i just bumped the difficulty down to professional and installed this: http://jenkey1002.blogspot.co.uk/

New gameplay tool by Jenkey.

Right I thought!
Got a chance - The first thing I noticed is that the game balances up a lot more, I even get free kicks.
However I edited in a team lets say i have the spine of "top players" Lescot, Barton, Ozil, Neymar. The rest of my players are just good players like riise, anton fredinand, paddy kenny in net, danny murphy... so i didnt go overboard on the team strengthening.

My first game I drew 0-0 on world class setting - noticed a huge change in fairness, although the game still does give away free kicks for imply pressing the AI into a corner. My next game was against wolves I lost 2-1.

Today Im going to play on professional, make sure my right stick is working (it hasnt been working and I dont know why) And add stronger players to my team.

Tasso how come superstar has less cheating than world class?

Anyway PES2012 Is on the ropes with me and today is its last chance to stay with me. Im gonna tweak it as much as I can.

There are some momentum shifts and the odd case of "untouchable player" but nothing as in the vids you link to.

I've had plenty of instances as per the linked videos. In fact I had instances every game I played Saturday night with Sociedad on Pro ML. Regular as clock work, AI players become utterly untouchable.

My friend and I tried everything to tackle Dani Parejo of Valencia, we'd try slide tackles from the side and he'd chip the ball over the tackler despite not being able to see him. We'd apply pressure using the Right analogue sticks and the shoulder buttons - yet he'd hold us off despite weak body balance.

It got to the point on one occasion he held off three players and jumped a slide tackle from a 4th. It was impressive. Yet utterly ridiculous.

It's ridiculous to suggest that its not, when it quite clearly plainly is.

It's not just Pro Evo, most of todays games suffer with this unbalanced, rubberbanded, scripted, handicapped sh*t. (The extreme of this, is most definitely FIFA)

I've explained time and again why and how it exists, on multiple forums and avenues. I really don't feel like going into it again, because I can waste far to much energy on the topic.

But for those with an eyesight that still works, there heads still screwed on, for those who use common sense and who are not swayed, the ONLY way the games will change, is if you hit the developers where it hurts and stop putting money in there pockets.

You see, you can criticize the game and the developers all you want, the fact of the matter is, all that matters, is that they get your money this year, the next year and the year after that. REGARDLESS of how bad the game is.

If you want change, I'm afraid your gonna have to put the love and urge of this particular entertainment to one side, for as long as it takes, until they start making solid computer games again, like they used to.

That's why I'm playing older games and refusing to spend any more dollar on todays junk, until it improves.

I said that particular settings have more cheats than others, and Craney I am starting to believe your intellect is lacking.

I never denied any cheats, I'm just saying that the way I've set it up it ain't so fucking annoying and not happening all the time. PES (all of them) are like virgins, if you push and shove it will start to bleed and cry and you'll never get any enjoyment out of it. But if you're trying to play football, and leave the sprint button alone for a few seconds, you will get less AI frantic cheats. Think of the sprint button as the clit, handle it with care.

And quite frankly, if you're the kind of guy that get all the AI cheats activated on you in every game, then maybe it's because you really want an arcade game in the first place. Constant sprinting will get the AI crazy, and it's not a well kept secret. It's been around since the dawn of this generation consoles.

And (yet again) frankly, the AI cheating has been discussed in so many threads now that I find it amusing that it keeps popping up. Is it the gold fish memory syndrome?

@Mrclub
In the "gameplay settings" set the difficulty on the "new gameplay" to Hard and ingame setting to normal to reduce AI player ability boosts all over the park.

The gameplay module setting decides the difficulty, the ingame setting sets the amount of cheating. If you set both on harder settings, you will get an evil AI that cheats all the time. The "AI cheat removal" setting doesn't really work as intended except for exhibition games.

I still think vanilla is best if you lay off the sprint button unless you really need it.

A quick look at the username, ignore all the text. Log out and wait for person with a head screwed on to reply.

The internet is wonderful aint it? You can filter out all the sh*t and just "miss out" all the idiots. It works brilliantly I must say!

Thanks Tasso, but I just pulled the plug and un-installed PES2012. Cheers though.
I had Man city in the ML and I tired a load of tactics, a load of ideas, different approaches. I even kept knocking the difficulty setting down until I was at "beginner. But nope trounced every time. i think Neymar, hulk and carrol backed up by osil is enough to at least score a goal no matter how many times its random.

So really the difficulty makes no difference.

I know some of you guys like this game and I too was a pro evo nut at one point but this after watching it progress is horrific since my ISS days on the N64 (Even as far back as ISS on the SNES)

We dont play this game it plays it for us. Is it only me that finds it spooky that millions of people buy this game and the are sincerly not in control of the outcome? How many people are playing this thinking "oh wow! its like real life!"

Im not knocking anyone who enjoys this game - but the other half of people that dont like it and see through its very clever disguise...
I wanna pawn teams based on my skill and not when it decides to let me.

And shooting omg... In 6 games on professional I scored one goal with osil.

Im not shit at these games I played form money at one point (only 10 bucks a pop but still) and I know when im getting butt forked.

FIFA/Football manager/and now pro evo.

Yearly releases with new bugs when in fact it should be refined more and more.

So my closing lines are what a craney said "Shoots broke this year, it will be back next time./........." We are being dragged along like dogs waiting for a treat from their master.

Peace all.

For me its totally unacceptable to receive games in this state, and still paying £40 for them. It's no wonder people look at downloading games illegally, Ohhhhhh WOW I said it! MAYBE just MAYBE people know that the game is not worth the £40 the developers say it is!

In fact games aren't £40 now at all, you can double that with all this pathetic priced DLC they bring out for games, most of which has already been made and coded in on the disc itself from day 1.

No, were not being f*cked in the ass at all, are we!?!

Nooooooooooooooooooo of course not!

Shooting in PES 2011 Konami themselves admitted was floaty. Yet look at PES 2012! It almost seems developers are bringing out games like this on purpose, in order to use the total failure of the last 1 or 2 games, to use it as a fixed feature in the next game! Is it not realistic to say that developers aren't putting everything they can into a game, in order to help sell the next?

I really don't remember this many facepalm fails in the PS2 years. There may have been glitches and bugs, but I don't think they released half hearted games on purpose, with 1 eye on the next game, as much as they do now.

I mean, "Shooting will be back next year"....and with that statement, Konami should never make another computer game, ever.

Just popped back into this site out of boredom and I cant believe people are still arguing about this game.

The game is fundamentally broken. Konami have all but admitted that themselves so what is there left to argue about?

They tried to patch it 6 times and now that PES 2013 is on the horizon they are openly admitting PES 2012's many, many flaws. Flaws that certain people on certain forums refuted the very existence of until they were blue in the face. Wonder how they feel now that Konami have admitted them?

Anyway, if those irrefutable facts dont convince you, just play the damn game. The flaws are right there staring you in the face in every single game you play.

Any time I start to feel nostalgic about PES and decide I really fancy a game of footy on my PS3 I stick on PES 2012 and after 3 or 4 games MAX it's back off again and left to gather dust. It is an absolute abomination of a game and the worst part is Konami knew this all too well.

If you have managed to squeeze some sort of enjoyment out of this turd of a game good luck to you. Each to their own and all that but I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want to put themselves through the mental anguish of playing PES 2012 over and over again.

But hey, it will all be fixed for PES 2013 wont it? They'll get it right this time wont they? Let's face it guys, will they fuck. How many chances have they had on this generation of consoles and how many times have they made a rip roaring arse of it?

I'm done with Pro Evo on the PS3. It's a dead horse that has been flogged to a pulp. It's a turd that they dont even bother to polish anymore.

As a long, long term Pro Evo fan it saddens me to say so but Konami can go fuck themselves. They wont be ripping me off to the tune of £40 this year.

If refer you to part of my previous comment:

"If you have managed to squeeze some sort of enjoyment out of this turd of a game good luck to you. Each to their own and all that...."

Perhaps you should adopt a similar attitude to people's opinions rather than trying to be clever? You like the game, I can live with that. I think the game is crap, can you live with that without trying to be a smartarse? At no point in my post did I refer to you directly or insult you so perhaps you should ask yourself why you felt the need to ridicule my opinion? I think the tone of my post is a tad more polite than your "PES is great and anyone who disagrees is an idiot/noob/virgin" shite.

Same old story with PES these days unfortunately, the game comes out and people on forums rave about it endlessly and shout down anyone who can see the flaws quicker than they can. Then, a couple of months before the new game is due out, light dawns on them and they start to admit to noticing more and more of the flaws that certain other people noticed months ago.

Then Konami themselves come out with an admittance that the last game probably wasn't all that great but dont worry because it will be fixed THIS time. Cue every PES player rushing to pre-order the game or snap it up on release day. Hence the cycle of crap PES games continues.

All I'm saying is I've fallen for it one too many times and that I believe Konami have not put the effort or finance required into this generation of PES games. They are treating their extremely loyal fanbase with utter contempt. FIFA is destroying them in a 2 horse race and it's certainly no great shakes either. I think Konami have all but given up on this generation of tech but they still want my £40 come October dont they?

Say what you like Sab but more and more people are starting to wake up to the fact that PES simply is not good enough. You may not think so but it's actually a good thing because it might, just might, make Konami pull their heads out of their arse and give us a decent football game for our money.
