Reason being is because with one of my profiles i have played 1 season on Top Player i struggle to get goals. I have made a new one on Professional tho and seem to be scoring goals with Real Betis. However i hate being the only striker.

Yeah being a lone striker sucks hairy ass

As does being in a front 3

Pity that these are the two formations that most teams use in BAL :
4-3-3 and 4-5-1

I play on top player and yes its hard at times to score. I play AMF after restarting my BAL after 3 seasons ---> due to picking a national team not on the national play list. Im on my first season once again :).

The one feature that helps alot though is the fake shot --> square - X. It always frees you up when for a good 2 seconds to get a good shot off. Comp defenders always seems to fall trap to it. I guess in real life it works first few times as well since everyone is always jumpy about getting hit :p.

to be honest like regular is alot easier than top player, on regular you can just run past people no problem wheras on top player it is much more difficult to just run past opposition players.

never tried professional, i play on top player but was at my mates over the weekend and he plays regular, he was in season 2 and it was really easy compared to when my guy was in season 2

This i find so weird. Messi hardly ever plays or comes on when we need a goal. Its always Bojan Krkic, Etoo and Quaresma that gets picked over him but when he does play he always gets the goals or sets them up.

Yeah, i play on top player normally, but when that gets too easy, i switch it back to professional again, different style of play = different challenge

Pressure is the only difference. And also, the pressure on top player is a bit unrealistic.

Hmm weird, so in your game he's actually doing something too?

He's one of those guys that would be on top of the scoring chart and or assists when I was not on their team though..

^When i joined them in the middle of the season etoo was at the top with 17 and the went on to score just 1 in the second half.

I play DMF, started with Villa, moved on to Tottenham. Coming towards the end of my 1st season with them, and my 2 centre defenders are both Thuram. Wtf is that all about? To be honest this has put me off BAL a bit!

its because you used an option file. i saw somewhere the solution for this but i cant remember where.

just scored my 200th goal, i'm half way through season 9, playing as a cmf on top player, just wondering how long it took everyone else to score 200?

im 23 and i have about 150 goals. i played one season as a SS, 4 seasons and the rest as a SMF.

I hit 200 during my 3rd season I think. Playing as a CF on regular. I was at Manchester United at the time where I hit 83'ish in a season.

so it seems CF on regular means scoring goals freely. i prefer Top Player when you do score it actually is rewarding. just my opinion.

good to see so many having fun with BAL. it's addictive.
