Well, winning a World Cup medal isn't really something new for at this stage, I've done it with two different incarnations of my frenchman Mathis.
But with my newest BAL, Chris Brandt, I got to not only win the World Cup, but to decide the outcome in the scariest way possible.
England vs Germany
England started with a 4-4-1-1 formation, with Gabriel Agbonlahor on top and Joe Cole just behind him. A more defensive way of playing, which was notable on the match. Germany had the best chances for sure. But the first half was goalless.
The second half was just as goalless and I wasn't subbed in (as opposed to some of the earlier matches in the World Cup, where I had been subbed in at around 60') mostly because there were no interference in play until the final whistle.
As the first Extra time half started, I found myself on the center midfield. A weird position for me, as I've always been a Target striker or a shadow striker (CF or SS, basicly) but I did what I could. However, the first EX half was also completely goalless.
In the second half, I was moved up to the hole, behind Gabriel Agbonlahor. This prompted me to go more offensively, as I like it. But after a hefty miss by myself, this half was also goalless.
We faced penalties. And I was chosen as the fifth taker.

I assume you all know what this means, right? Fifth taker, me, has the chance to secure the win. So I look frantically for my FRAPS recording button and all of the sudden the player takes the kick automatically. I didn't even know he could do that! But the keeper (Frank Rost) went to the right which meant my auto-shot flew past him and into the net.
I had won the World Cup. Without even taking the kick myself ^^

BAL Situation
Hi guys
I have been playing BAL for quite awhile now. I am an AMF . Started off with siena and played in all the major leagues so far. (Italy,Spain, England). Teams I played for
Siena,Cagliari Calcio, Milan, Juventus,Villareal, Barcelona,Manchester Un., and Real Madrid
Currently transferred to Real Madrid this season. The 1 club in the rankings. Previous year was with Juventus where we won the league by 16 points. With me the top league scorer.
I have acquired the 7 special abilities. As a dumb ass I concentrated to much on kick technique and others but completely forgot about Balance. This resulted in a measly teamwork of 72. Now full throttle to make it 75 at first.
Some observations up to now.
Playing with the 1. ranked team is incredible. The team really clicks. In the first two-three games where I didnt start the games the team played perfectly. Both on defence and attack.
Before I would always feel that I had to work on both ends to ensure a win. The burden was really on your player (understandable) But now even after starting the games the team plays well and you can really just concentrate on your game.
Refereeing:
Definitely has to be improved. Especially in offside situations. Sometimes the opposition is in offside but your team gets the ball quickly and will probably be on a break. Referee should definitely let you get on with it.
Plays in front of goal:
Sometimes my own team or even the opposition team has scored trying to defend. Trying to clear the ball they clear right into the net! This really looks stupid and does kill the enjoyment of the game at that point.
Defense clearing:
Not always but seen a lot is the following: Defense is under pressure they can go on for an open player but they clear it out of bounds. WTF is going on!?!
Crosses:
My player is 1.92 as I said. I have scored over 250 goals.(Not a lot but good for a midfielder)I have scored at least half of these with headers from corners. But hey I have only been able to score very little headers from in play with an incoming cross. (Some with a diving header but thats not what I mean). How can Drenthe not cross? How can Tevez, Iniesta, MEssi not cross. Give me a break!

I have never seen a defender score from a clear. Their clears usually end up at half center or just behind my defensive line. Never even close to the goalkeeper.
And it is kinda hard to score on crosses during play. I've scored about 9-10 goals over a period of 12 playing years (with three different BALs) on crosses during play. Your teammates rarely do as YOU want them to.

What I meant by the defender clearing into a goal is this: It doesnt always happen. They do clear it just like you say. But I have seen at least 5-10 times the defender putting it in goal instead of clearing. (In very tight situations)

But yeah, it can't be that exciting to see a game be decided by a clear.

please help me(sorry for english) i play bal and i m at year 2018-2019 i play for real madrid 2 years and my abilities have stuck and they dont go up. for ex i have 95 shot tec and shot acc and i put 6 points to technick(kicking) but they still stays at 95 (3 points at bar) does anybody knows what is happening??? pls reply

many stats stop going up around 93-95. for some reason the programmers decided not to let your skill exceed 95. the only thing you can do is put points into another skill.

ok i did that but there still not moving for ex my pass abilities stuck at 82-85 nothing going up and if anything moved it's only for 1 or 2 points

Unfortunately I don't have good news for you. Thats how it works. After your stats will go up at most 3 points (if you have 5 slots in that category)

this is my story so far in my bal mode iam 28 at the moment and can play for another good 10 years me thinks lol
im loveing this mode but i have a lot off isues wit it
1. why cant they cross a damm ball thats not on the ground (throw ins )
2. why does the corner kick guy stand their after taking corners and never moves till its to late lol even when it comes back out to him he still stands their.
3. please fk cpu is a damm cheat i dont want to be in the wall i can save it on the line iff they let me but im stuck in the wall and im about 5ft 4 so guess were they aim. lol
4.why is it than when i dive in the box after player holding my shirt i get nothing but iff i do this outside the box 9/10 i get a free kick.
5.players that are over 37 should not be allowed to play in any team they are damm useless eg rio 39 giggs 38 wtf? lol
6.the rating system is bs i scored 4 goals 2 assist yet to get 7.5 same as 3 guys on my team wtf?is their a 9 or even a 10 out their the highest i ever get is 8.0 no matter wat i can come on 15 minto go score 2 goals and get 8.0 so unfair to gk they play blinders and get 5.5 6.0
apart form this small things it is absloutley the greatest mode on the planet just a few fresh ideas needed.

I THINK 95 IS GUD ENOUGH FOR ME ANY MORE IT WOULD BE TO EASY IM PLAYING ON TOP PLAYER AT THE MOMENT AND ITS VERY INTENSE TO PLAY THE GAMES I FELL THO I WAS BETTER AT 24 25 26 WIT LOWER STATS THAN I HAVE NOW I DONT NO WHY THIS IS MAYBE I WAS IN MY PEAK BUT MY PLAYER AT THAT AGE WAS IN TOTAL CONTROL OFF THE FOOTBALL IM STUCK ON 95 FOR ABOUT 4 5 THINGS LOL

Just had my best ever game on BAL. Scored 4 and got an assist in Barca's 5-0 drubbing of Sevilla. It was my first hat-trick in the 6 seasons I've played, so to get 4 was even more special.

Loving this mode more than Master League, which is some feat!
