How are you getting on in ML Offline

hey, guys well i am playing with the default players(the new names are funny, also the commentator hardly calls there names) using real madrid... well 1st of all i think the game is much easier compared to last year, i am in d 2nd half of my 1st season, won more games than i have lost and drew a few,

my players are doing quite well, i have bought mayb 3 players from other teams and promoted like 4 from the youth team,

looks like i might get promoted this season i am somewhere in the top 10 about 15 points below the league leaders, having a ball with the game though, playing on superstar difficulty...

was shocked when i found out the default players where changed for this year, shame....

its like they gave us so much to do in ML over the previous 3/4 editions of pes, then just took everything away for 2013, and reduced all the work you had to do...

Had hoped that they would have done away with this in 2013, it annoyed the shit out of me in 2012 :realmad:

yeah this pisses me off too, would like to see the system in pes 6 when the player would go away for a week or days at a time, or a situation where the player needed to ask for permission to go for international matches like in real life, and u can either grant or refuse the request, your response can then affect the players happiness

hi optimistic, nice name, well basically, i use 4 preset formations

the first is 4 3 3, for normal situations or if i am leading by a good margin

then 4 4 2/ 4 4 1 1, depending on how you look at it, this is the main one i use... consisting of four defenders, two mid fielders just by the base of the circle in at the half line, two wingers after the line (also in mid field) 2 strikers up front one slightly infornt of the other, so one players as center forward, the other as second striker or attacking midfielder dependin on his abilities

in the 3rd slot i have an all out attack formation for if i am loosing in the closing stages of the match, its just an aggressive version of the 433, with d players higher up the field than normal

last but not least in the 4th slot i have the all out defence formation 541: 5 defenders, four midfielders (all below the half line) and one lone striker

to be honest i find this year's edition much more easier than last years, were i got fired like 7 times before i managed to get promoted, so i think than managed to tune up my game play, and i always play on the hardest difficult available....

I really appreciated your detailed answer and yes those are helpful.

I did not apply 4 formations in 4 slots accordingly in different situations
(ahead, behind or tie) which I should definitely look into and study to use them wisely against COM teams.

In regards to formation, have not tried 4-3-3 which could be a well
balanced layout, I tried 4-5-1, 5-4-1, 4-4-2, none of them works great
against tougher opponents, but I used 4-5-1 to get some precious away draws. 4-2-2 IMO is a dodgy formation for both away and home
games, lost a lot of matches using that. 5-4-1 is a defensive stronghold, love it after leading.

I have nearly all players you mentioned above apart from LWF,RWF, 1
different keeper, and LMF.

I also sold 3-4 redundants or bench holders, also released a few, very
shitty, no team wants them...LOL.

No need to give me names of your entire squad, those names are long and wierd, hate them.

I am also on ps3, dont know what psn is...LOL please dont laugh at me.

Still, I am in the deep water in 2nd season, gonna try different approach
to get me somewhere up the table.... hopefully before Chrismas, LOL.

Only played PES 2012 for 1 month, then change to SKYRIM and Dark souls, both are fantastic games but with flaws.

I got fired in PES 2012 ML, so angry that I put the damn game in my drawer for like 8 months, it is still in there with dust, LOL.

Played super star LV in some exhibiton matches not in ML, lost most games, NOT happy with it at all.

Will try your advice surelly.

the 442 is really cool, before 2012 i never changed from my regular 433 (i dont really know how to dribble, cant be bothered really, so i just use fast players on the wing and cross the ball most times). but one of my friends (football fan/player) who was watch me get trashed in 2012 last year, suggested i choke up the midfield, and it worked like magic, could hold the ball more and get it back easier when i loose it...

TBH, No, I ve never played PES online, afraid of being wretched and
humiliated by PES Pros, lack mental strength and courage to handle
stress caused by loing games to somebody i ve never met or know, do
not like that feeling of losing, but I am no coward. Would like to see
how far I can go with my ML default team on Topplayer LV, will not
give up or give in untill a message pops up saying Game Over.

Already set up my 4 formations in preset tactics, cant wait to use them.
Used to play on wings using fast runners a lot in PES 2010.
PES 2011 is a good PES release, but ruined by abused through balls.
PES 2012 IMO is the shittest PES ever, AI, COM cheats scripts paradise.
PES 2013 IMO is very nice, with some patience of learning and practising, the game will shine.

Congesting the midfield works for PES 2013 defending sometimes, but NOT always.(did not try that in PES 2012).

I just lost a away fixture 2:1 using congested midfield strategy and park the bus in front of goal, I scored a goal with quick counter in 1st half, but in 2nd half within less than 20 Min, COM scored 2 headers
by using 2 Corner kicks, dont know how to defend that shit!!!!!!!!!

Thought about using taller CBs, my 2 CBs are around 1.85, although
I suspect if only Height can change matters, JUMP data might be a
crucial factor for winning air to air battles, need to test it out in the
game.

One CMF(Orthmann) in my youth squad is around 1.89, but JUMP is 48, what the.....

Never mind, there are others I can sign, LOL

Thanks for the tip, I know using personal trainning to up stats, but a lot of my defenders JUMP is below 70, need to have hell lot of GPs to
better them, BUT I can not win that many games to get GPs, it sucks.

As trivial as it sounds does ML still have that annoying "Why are you not playing me?" interaction when you rest a player for one game.

I'm on the verge of buying it but the the mixed reviews regarding the boots situation is delaying it. To find out that annoying interaction is still there wouldn't do it any favors either

No more players complaints interaction because of nackering or not playing them, so no need to worry about that.

Buying it or not is your call, TBH it is much better than pes 2012

the striker Wroughllen. that number came because i equip him with boots and ability point. his original probably only 82 (i think he start with 78 shoot acc, might be wrong)

oh and rustwyth from original team also has good shoot acc

I think wroghllen is also in my squad, after got CF Abreu who has
FOX in BOX card(he is a beast), wroghllen been sitting on the bench since then.

Abreu is 1.93, he scored 1 great header with a corner kick in my recent
fixture, but he is not as agile as wroughlen for sure.

Sometimes I put both of them on if desperate for a goal.
