Ive got a 78-28 win ratio on Fifa online. On pes i didnt even bother playing that many matches online cos the AI was just terrible.
Dicky i am listening to what you say but on occasions where you have said the AI is better in pes than Fifa i almost had a stroke. Pes 2009s AI is the worst AI ever put into a football game. I mean the absolute shit you get to play with in BAL is almost worth putting a bullet into your head. Seriously and i mean it, the AI in pes the the 1 thing abouve all i hate pes for now. Its just so increadibly bad. They never pass the ball into openings, they dont try anything expansive, they pass it at the back for 20 mins then loose it and we conceed, they lack any sence of urgancy and they never make runs even when no1s marking them.
On fifa if you slow dribble everyone on the team moves around, makes forward and diagonal runs and in the final thirds players like torres will sprint into space. Also the compute is actually competant and can spot openings, slide increadible through balls in and defensively can keep strong. In pes every club i played for in BAL (8-10) conceeded left right and centre even when i was playing for barca and we constantly lost to teams like celtic because my teams AI attacking wise was non existant. Dont get me started on player positioning in pes.

shit we've been talking about keepers for years....!!! its part of the game, the programers mean for all that shit to happen...
you cant just start making the keepers better without changing the style of the game...

keepers making fluffs is all part of how konami wanted to keep excitement levels up, pes as whole plays this way...

i wonder actually how good the game would be if they did actually factor in human error - even just had the players make occasional, random mistakes.
instead of a defender always sticking his toe out and taking the ball off you, why not once in a while let him completely cock it up and miss ?

having never player BAL ,i really dont know what your talking about ,but i have read several posts regarding this issue and there seems to be a real lack of intelligence by the computer players espicially when you ask for the ball
and the reason ive never played BAL ,is because in the game sense for me its a non starter ,football is not a one man game ,why konami choose a game mode that lets you see it through the eyes of an individual is beyond me ,espically when in a normal mode you do all this yourself with better results
and i completley disagree with your statement when in a noraml game in my oppinion pes AI as an attacking sense makes the same mistakes as a 15 year old whos losing concentration because his balls have just dropped ,but in a defensive situation pes is like a tiger ,it fights for every ball and denys you time and space
now fifa on the other hand is oppisotte ,coming foreward its a complete tiger it can pass you off the pitch ,but as a defensive stand point ,the italians in world war 2 even when surrendering made more of a defensive fight and thats why it passes through you so easily
having said that it sounds like ive changed my view point and praising the FI ,dont be fooled ,because if you have a football brain its very easy to nullify the FI when it attacks and its very simple ,you start to defend at the half way line once you do this you compact your team the FI then struggles to find a way through ,this allows you to break it down and score with ease ,that is why for me fifa has it badly wrong in real life the hardest thing to do is score a goal now thats hardly an accurate simulation
altho having said that both games do lack posistioning sense espicially in overload situations ,ie 2 v 1
if your still failing to see what i`m saying ,ask yourself this why do most ppl playing pes dribble?
is it A its too easy too dribble
or B its too difficult to pass through pes

Exactly wat I was thinking, couldnt be arsed to explain it tho, hes a lost cause, I wont even go into how he finds FIFA easier than PES 2009 esepcially when using manual, that bit cracks me up.
Edit: Now seen Dicky's latest shit, saying PES 2009 is defensively harder than FIFA, this guy must have a hemorrhoid on the brain or summin, because i can take ronaldinho run 50 yards on top player, through an entire defence and put it in the top corner. That PES defence in a nutshell.

pes is piss easy when passing it around or dribbling, it needs to be as its a pick up and play arcardish game, if you needed lots of SKILL to play it it woundnt work..!!
People who find pes2009 a challenge must of been really shite at it before, all the skillfull players have moved to fifa...
The physics engine is so 1 dimensional it crys out arcade... you only need to look at online bal mode, where you score points for combo's that flash up on the screen(realistic huh). its obvious where konami are heading, its what they do best and its what little japanese boys are asking for..!!!!
i just cant play football like a cheap thrill, i want to use skill and make decisions based on realistic circumstances...

it makes me laugh at all the suggestions people are making, if konami added them all pes would change completely(and feel like fifa), if you know anything about the laws of physics and time you would realize that what pes would be is fifa..! the way pes works now cant work on the next level, the game of FOOTBALL would collapse unless it was an arcade style held together with "string" (string theory)...!!!
peoples hopes for pes2010 being some amazing next level version and a realistic representation of football are way off..
its a shame that some people arnt able to SYNCHRONIZE with fifa's physics as they are missing out on the best football game made to date....

thats funny ,because i cant run for toffee never mind dribble my way past 1 or 2 men let alone 6 ,your whole argument is based upon the fact that your player runs and commits defenders pulling them out of posistion ,incase you havent noticed whether you find dribbling easy or not ,dribbling is a skill thats needed to be learnt
furthermore i would like to add when you do play like this the player dribbling is on the ball is more effective as he is the threat and hes in full control of the ball
where as if your about to pass ,the pass can be blocked or intercepted ,badly timed ,lacks accuracey etc
maybe if you tried playing pes by just passing you would be able to understand and appreciate what i am saying ,but unfortunatley you take the easy route , the way you play pes is like me playing fifa on assisted passing ,far too easy

thats why they created bal mode, that you dont even play.!!!
oh and the skill needed to dribble in pes is for 2 year olds thats why you find it hard..!!

FI i`ll make a deal with you ,and it goes a little like this ,i`ll play trigglebeef but i`ll play him on both titles FIFA and PES i`ll take newcastle on both ,and he can take any team he wishes ,fifa naturally will be on manual passing
i will also record both games on both titles i will also put both games on youtube
however there is a stipulation
should i loose ,both games or on aggregate score i will leave this site but only after telling everyone how good fifa is
should i win however ,i couldnt care less what you do or if you still have your oppinion on which is the better title
i`ll just have the complete satisfaction of knowing that a guy you admit to be better than you ,i completley stuffed
i just dont dribble ,as ive stated many times in this and other threads i pass the ball ,wether it be quick short passes ,or well timed through balls my game has always been about letting the ball do the work ,no matter what football game i`m playing

if you ever bothered to read any of my posts dicky you would know that i said a while ago that its no longer about which game is better but more about the understanding of the player playing it..!!!
if you prefer arcade style its pes, if you prefer sim style its fifa, simples...

For the first time i actually semi-agree with you. Fifa's AI is very good at attacking. But it's also good at defending in my opinion, especially if it takes the lead. On legendary defences rarely make glaring errors and you really have to work to break them down. On world class there is the odd error but you still have to work hard. On professional they're shit! The jump in difficulty is pretty large from Professional to World class. I'm talking manual by the way, world class is pretty easy too on assisted.
