And for gameplay: allow players to let the ball go out, no auto-touch, sometimes it's annoying that i can clearly see that if i touch it, the ball goas off from be, but if i don't touch it we get he throw-in.

For tactics: I think it would be really good if free-kick variations were allowed. Either pre-set, either customizable ones would be exciting. Thanks.

Below are just a couple of things which I don't believe have been mentioned on the compiled list (front page) so they're worth a punt:

A major thing that needs to be corrected by Konami is the trick system. They had it right with 2008's use of the right analog stick, but now with 2009 they've changed that to the manual pass tool and it just hasn't worked. It's incredibly difficult now to be able to perform some of the more specialised tricks because you're having to reach over to the d-pad which isn't particularly easy on the Xbox 360 controllers. I honestly don't even know why manual passing exists to be honest. So to summarise: tricks should be performed through the use of the right analog stick - not the d-pad.

Another bonus which would be a very welcome addition would be the option to "edit" your goal gallery. It might be too big of an ask, but it would be excellent to add goals together into a compilation gallery video, possibly of things like "top 10 goals" etc. Maybe having fading effects, and possibly even background music downloaded from an audio CD or iPod inserted into the Xbox 360. Just a potentially nice touch for PES 2010.

Multiple scoreboard options just to keep things fresh and slightly personalised. If the patchers are able to achieve this then I don't see why Konami can't.

Just thought of another one, which is obviously a major flaw from Konami in terms of tactics in gameplay. The CPU has scored against with a header from a corner, albeit the shite marking was my fault, but there is never ever anyone on the back post. There is always a player protecting the front post, but never the back post and it's ridiculous. As opposed to it being automatic as well, we as players should have the choice of whether we want players on the posts, or if we want them in the area marking. Completely defeats the point of protecting the goal if you're only going to stick one player on a post.

I've always wanted them to track games appeared instead of just goals and assists, like in Fifa. The ps2 versions would show this stat during the pre match and in end season of ML but never in the team info page which puzzles me.

They should really bring back the old goals/assists info page where you can switch between them using L1/R1. The current one is just so dam stupid.

pes 2010 new ideas

i would just like to have the teams players create in any mode we want. Let us have created teams in Master League etc.

obviously more teams would be great as most people always hated the division 2 in master league. Why cant we have Championship teams in the lower division, maybe serie b too etc.

Master league needs a complete overhaul. Need all the management elements in their like players requesting transfers due to not playing, fines, poaching etc.

Also the fatigue of players needs to be looked at. In 09 players can only play two games in row then thet are fatigued, thats way over the top.

Be able to create leagues from scratch. The limit of teams, players (even logo's/emblems etc) should depend on hard drive space.

Online mode:

-When someone disconnects, save the latest score before disconnection together with the time of disconnection and post it next to the 3-0 default victory score (on the page that shows the last 20 results), so that people can decide for themselves whether or not a player is a cheater or quitter. (eg. Someone quits in the 89th minute while losing 8-0. The winner will receive the 3-0 default victory, but other people will see that before the disconnection, the score actually was 8-0 at the 89th minute. Similarly, if the loser manipulated his connection and made the winning opponent disconnect, then, even though the cheater will get 3-0 default victory, everyone will see that he actually was losing 8-0 and hence the unfair victory will be exposed)

-A match option where both players get a random team with random daily forms (arrows), together with a seperate ranking list solely based on the results of these random matches. This will portrait, in the long run, who really masters the game and who is dependent on certain teams and players.

-A pre-match option to disable all replays during match (if required). They can be seen after the match is over. This will save nerves.

-A new ranking system, based on the ELO rating used in professional chess (please look up in wikipedia). The only modification required to the existing chess ELO system would be to consider the strength of the teams played with in addition to the rating of the two players.
I feel the need to clarify what this will really mean to you. Lets say your rating is 400 and your opponents is 900. You play with Besiktas against Barcelona. If you win you get about 30 points, if you draw you get 5 points, if you lose you lose only 1 point. On the other hand, the barcelona player with 900 rating will get 1 point if he wins, lose 5 points if a draw, and lose 30 points if he loses (against you with your 400 rating and lesser team).

This means that if the top ranked players want to increase their rating, they will either have to play even better or similarly rated opponents or choose weaker teams against lesser rated opponents. This will finally bring justice to the rating system and also encourage people to play with teams other than Man U and Barca. It will also reward players who refuse to play with only top teams for the sake of rating.

Note: The strength of a team could simply be measured by the area of the pentagon shown when choosing teams (the pentagon based on the attack, defence, speed, teamwork and technique of the team). This way, it would be dynamic and also change in the future with transfers that make the team stronger or weaker.

I would appreciate it if the original poster could insert the first sentence of each of the above points in the first post.

Thanks for reading my first entry on pesgaming. Sorry it is longer than intended but I believe I had to support my arguments.

Cheers

I don't think it has been mentioned before, on this thread or others, but one thing I'd like to see improved, are the penalties. On FIFA there is a penalty power-bar. If you hold down the button, you can go for a powerful blast high into the net, impossible to save, or a light tap of the button, brings a simple side foot. Maybe this can be incorporated in PES too, a power-bar for penalties, similar with free-kicks. Its quite a small thing I know, but its frustrating when penalties are randomly blasted wide or over, through no real fault of the gamer.

A minor but annoying one - when adjusting my team's condition there should be an option to turn all on or off - or just default to off - the majority don't usually need conditioning but they are all ticked at the start.

Online mode is the worst ive ever experienced..... I now hold Konami personally responsible for the broken joypad in my living room and am expecting a new one asap!!

Seriously do the guys at konami actually test the online mode before they release it? obviously not.

Make a better and excellent game play also this is key important and element is making the player realistic such as graphics because i asked all my friends, they are PES fan and they said that PES 2010 should be 100% realistic and graphics of players.

Gameplay
- Slow down the pace significantly, doing this will move the game even more towards a sim
- Introduce manual passing to the x button or improve it further on the analouge stick
- Shooting is still to easy and again this could have a more manual feel to it
- More variations in the type of runs that players make. Your teams mates should look for the ball more, this would mean the game would be focused on passing which for me is important.
- Manual long balls, you need to have more control
- Difficulty needs to be bumped up significantly and this will happen if the game is more manual focused.

Other
- More stadiums from around the world
- different nets for each of these stadiums that could reflect real life to some, attention to detial like this will make the game great again
- Boot editor
- untucked shirts
- Better atmosphere for rival matches and relevant stadium
- Introduce champs league and europa to master league.
- Player models need to be improved slightly, from a distance they all look similar although kit textures are great.
- 360 movement or something along those lines so the players dont feel like robots
More emphasis on technical aspects of stats rather than just speed, dribbling should be just as much of a skill as passing.
- more emphasis on defending an tackling, there isn't much depth with this at the moment
- Player running animations need to be improved and animations overall depending on stance and player, this will also improve the gameplay as it will effect your passing and shooting
