alright, thanks. i'll give it a try when i get the game. sounds like a pain in the ass, but i suppose it's worth it to have exactly what you want in the game. now to find a RPL OF...

Basically it should work like you expect it to.
If done several tests with the import/export feature.
If you import teams from one OF (let's say your Russion League OF) and there the teams are created over the PES League, and then you import them over the portugese league on another OF then you do not overwrite the portugese players there.
You use the players from the PES League. That means the PES League teams loose all their players after import because they are transfered to yur newly created russian league. So the editor chooses random free players from NTs to fill up the slots on the PES Teams.

So be aware that after importing the created russian teams to your OF there could be a little mess, because the portugese players are all moved to free agent players section.

Sorry, i'm a bit in a hurry, but I hope it's clear what I mean.

If anyone has questions about this, please ask. I've done hardly nothing but testing this feature the last days, because I'm in creating my own OF and use some parts of already existing OFs...

Please Help Me Understand The Import/Export Feature

Please someone help me understand this import/export feature. Let's say we have these three separate OF (The bit in red is a template):

Region|Name of File|Name of League Created Over
*Features

US|Base Option File|N/A
*BPL|Correct Kits|Correct Emblems|Correct Player Names|
*Serie A|Correct Kits|Correct Emblems|Correct Player Names|
*Liga ZON Sagres|Correct Kits|Correct Emblems|Correct Player Names|
*National Teams|Correct Kits|Correct Emblems|Correct Player Names|
*Liga BBVA|Licensed
*Ligue 1|Licensed
*Eredivisie|Licensed
*Other European Teams|Licensed
*Copa Santander Libertadores|Licensed

US|Bundesliga Option File|PES League
*Bundesliga|Correct Kits|Correct Emblems|Correct Player Names|

US|nPower Championship Option File|D2 league
*nPower|Correct Kits|Correct Emblems|Correct Player Names|

Now, lets say I download the base OF and upload each single file to my main account one-by-one. Also the features included in the base OF are absolute (meaning no changes has been made to the D2 League or the PES League).

Now lets say I want to add the nPower Championship to my Base OF that I originally downloaded. After I download the nPower OF from my laptop, would I upload this OF to my main account or my dummy account? And if I upload it to my dummy account, does that mean I have to insert PES2012 while in my dummy account, export all the teams, go into my main account, insert PES2012 again, and import the exported teams from my dummy account while in my main account?

..........:shocking: Very confused. Please someone help me understand

Yes, thats exactly the way it should work. :)

- Always use the OFs from which you want to copy teams on a dummy account
- Export the teams you want
- Copy the exportfiles from your dummy account to your main account - Load the game on your main account and import the exportfiles to your optionfile

And as you posted, the fact that you want to use to leagues that aren't created over the same PES League (<==>D2 League) there should none to little problems during the import.

Thanks mate. Much appreciated :)

You'd think the least Konami could do is give us an in-depth tutorial on how this feature works

If some things are observed, you could avoid the most "problems" (if one will call them so)

So if you import new teams, it's best you import them over the team that they were created of. Then 99% of the imports will be fine.

If you want to import the newly created team over another team then the following things happen:

Example: Team "Dynamo Moskwa" was created over PES League Fantasy Team "Cantlesirspor" in an OF. There Moskwa was exported and then imported to your own OF.

- Import of Moskwa over Cantlesirspor ==> Everything will be fine

- Import Moskwa over another team (for example WE United):
==> The players of Cantlesirspor will be moved to WE United and then changed to the Moskwa-players and their stats and looks.
==> The players of WE United are moved to "Free agent".
==> And because of Cantlesirspor now has not enough players, their rooster will be randomly filled up with free agents and free NT-Players.

Further Info: Sometimes if you import a team over another some players don't have their "clone" on the new OF (because of various reasons). Then the editor chooses randomly a player which he will overwrite. At this step you could check which player will be overwritten and change the player if needed.

That's it. ;)

I hope it's clear what I wanted to say, as my english isn't the best...

If I want to export my created player for example Elias Figueroa from PES2011 to PES2012 is that possible?

Or do I have to export the whole team he is in?

Thanks in advance!

from what I am learning from other posters, and am going to try tonight with NPower - on another account import pes2011 Fegueroa as prequel data, then export the 2012 Figeuroa, copy Figeuroa to your regular PES account, then import player.

Thank you very much!

Hope it's working because I have created a classic option file in PES2011 and I don't have many "custom/today" players left. If I import whole teams the whole game will be a mess I think.
