Now that is something that has irked me for ages... being hauled back when you are home free.

Ideas to include in PES3
Just some random thoughts on some neat little touches to really make the game stand out:
- Adjustable sock height (don't laugh) for players like Veron and Rui Costa, and Blanc if he's still playing(?)
- Tape on the socks would be a nice touch to give the players some individuality.
- Proper licensed Adidas boots, Predator Manias in all colours, and classic style Adids boots with three proper stripes - they have the license so they might as well use it, look at the Japanese International strip.
- Choice between short and long sleeved shirts for players like Beckham who prefer long sleeves.
- Editable lettering for front of shirts so at least a simple form of sponsorship can be added.
- A roster edit/transfer system so that team lists can be updated easily.
I don't know if KCET has any plans to incorporate these type of details but I think it would really complete the look of the game.

looking at the videos the only thing that really dissapoints me is that passing to an angle your players isnt exactly facing is still too easy and still looks akward. it seems like their leg swings towards another angle then the ball is actually going, most of the times when u look at the replay afterwards u see this isnt the case, but even there it still looks unnatural.
first off all the pass should be WAY less accurate. and the player should swing his whole body into the passing move. he should also be forced to put his leg more behind it so he can do his best effort at making the ball get to the other player at this weird angle, maybe even fall down after the pass if you click to fast.
fixing this will force the user to choose the simple solution first, and not allways go forward. strikers will have a harder time collecting passes just like in reall matches.
i feel very strong about this. i really hope they realize in time for the release how unrealistic this looks and feels, its really arcade and fifa like.
for those who do not know what i mean, i will clock some times when it happends in the video's:
(Vid1)1:40/2:21 This one looks so/so, but its seems a bit too easy he hasnt even controlled the ball yet manages to shoot the ball with that kinda speed exactly in his teammates foot without first looking up from the ball.
(Vid1)3:50 This one looks really off. the player should at least LOOK like hes having trouble passing that one. if someone in reality would perform it like this his knees would bump against eachother.
in reality, konami, u would first hang to the back, then move up your arms for balancing(left arm high, right arm low), then put your feet back below your right hand and make the pass.
(Vid2)0:17 His right foot is way to near to the ball to produce such power in that pass, also his lefty doesnt go backwards enough. again the player should first have a look towards where he is going to pass.
(Vid2)1:30/1:38 Too quicly performed making it look unnatural.
in reality the player would first look and give the ball a little tick so to distance between him and the ball is enough to give it a powerfull swing.

How about being able to do qualifiers for each cup compo? So there is more longevity. You go thru qualifiers according to federation and see if you make it to the actual cup. But it gives you changing squads as it takes into acct the length of time for the whole qualifying period and that players may get injured or lose form over 9 mths or whatever. Then you randomize the draw for the cup you are playing.
Also being able to fully customise your own cup/tournament. I noticed that you can't necessrily have all the options you want in the "Nokami" thing.

The national squads are fixed and the changing would be very complicated.
You can change the squad to your preferences at the start and stick to it. Maybe that would work.

Few Ideas:
Varying pitch sizes eg. Highbury - small pitch
Ability to rename stadiums - also allocate edited stadium name to every club and maybe national teams for authenticity.
A selection of refs with different characteristics which can be randomly selected or chosen depending on how flowing/violent a game you like to play. Dont have to be real-life refs but would be good.
Ability to chose goal celebrations for a player from a list of generic and well known celebrations. Could be assigned to buttons like strategies are.
Definately more/changing weather conditions and pitches cutting up/players getting muddy.
Different fonts for player names on shirts. eg prem league style, real madrid style etc.
Temprement stat - would spawn mentalist players hell-bent on vendettas. You would never dare slide tackle roy keane or alan smith again.
More cut scenes like fifa just to add a bit of glitz to the game - eg camera tracking a player who has just hit a good shot on goal.
Ability to record your own game highlights for something you are particularly proud of - done by pressing space bar in SWOS.
HANDBALLS - where are they?
Defenders climbing on attackers when competing for headers.
Shirt-pulling?, Diving?, 22-man brawls? Club mascots - fighting wolfie style? Floodlight failures? (joke).
Real national anthems - this was in an old game of NHL on the PSOne - ALL RISE FOR GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.
More team specific crowd chants.
Abilty to change shorts colours - england played in white shorts against slovakia.
Thats me clean out of ideas - i think ill go and have a lay down.
