Well I click on extract all files and then copy across the extracted file to my max drive but still the memory stick comes up as empty on my PS2. How can I make it show up because the memory stick has the file on, but it just isn't there on the PS2?

Show us the full filename of the file on your max drive.
or take a screenshot of the file - showing the full filename.

Having purchased the max drive like every other pro evo fan to get the new option file i have got an error. When i transfer it to my memory card it then load PES4 it says that there is no option file present. This is a gutter as i deleted my old option file with some editing on in order to make space for new file. When i Then browse the memory card the file comes up as corrupt,. I downloaded the version 1 and 1.2 option file, extracted it, copied it to the max drive then copied it onto my memory card. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so is there a way to resolve this. Cheers

If you need any more info just leave a message of wot u'd like to know thanks!
I have the same problem with mine. i put the option file from the MD on to my memory card. then when i put in pro evolution soccer5 disc after you choose the language and tv mode the option file should load but it doesnt and jst comes up with no option file found? i dont know wot to do. the main reason i bought it was because i wanted to have the propa kits and stuff for the game. also the manual is crap. does someone no how to resolve this? ive also had all my saves wiped off my card also! very frustrating. gd bit of kit but its very confusing and difficult to work.

Make sure you use the UNCRUSH option to transfer the file to your memory card. Delete the file you already transferred and try it this way.

Option file not found

Once I transfer the option file from the max drive to my memory card, PES5 does not open up the option file. I have used the uncrush to memory card option but no luck. I have tried a number of different option files and I have made sure they are .MAX.

Can someone please help?

If your existing file is any use to you then make a backup of it. Then delete it and transfer the new file to the memory card. By the way, which file is it you are trying to transfer?

I downloaded dwevans.max option file, copied it to my max drive then uncrushed it to my memory card. When I boot up PES5 it says option file not found.

My memory card is blank apart from the pes5 option file that I downloaded. It displays it as an export file in the PS2 system browser, is this correct?

(I don't have my own option file anymore as when I first used the max drive it deleted everything off my memory card!)

I have also tried the MAX DRIVE PESFAN PES 5 V2 OF shop unlocked.max option file but PES5 does not load that one either.

Any suggestions?

EDIT:
I have solved the problem. I simply created a new option file in PES5, saved a game then rebooted the ps2. I put in the max drive software and deleted the new option file I created from my memory card and uncrushed the option file on my max drive (dwevans.MAX) to my mem card.

The next time i booted up PES5 it loaded the option file that I downloaded(dwevans.MAX).

Ok, I bought the MAX drive the other day and moved all my saves from my memory card onto my PC hard drive. Ever since I did that, I haven't been able to save onto the memory card from Pro Ev. Every time I try to create a new Option file it just says "Error occurred. Failed to save." Any ideas how to fix this?

How do I format the memory card?

When I access it through the PS2 browser, it says there's 'No Data', yet it also says there's only 5Mb available.

Do any files appear when you access the memory card with the max drive software on the ps2? You should be able to delete everything from there.

Nope, nothing appears.

All I've done is selected everything from my memory card, except the system configuration thing, and moved it to the Max drive. I then copied everything from the Max drive onto my PC. Even when I uncrush saves onto my memory card from the Max drive, it still says 'No Data' in the browser and I can't save to the memory card from ANY game now.

Any help would be very much appreciated, I don't want to have to buy a new memory card.

Try this:

go to the select all devices menu and hover over your mem card 1. I think you press :square: (square) to format your memory card. i needed to do this the first time i got my max drive.

And for info:

You need to format the memory card, unfortuneately you cant get your saves back :)sad: ) but at least you get your memory back. What you need to do is load up the max drive disk in the ps2 and and go to the max memory bit. Then on the screen when you pick either the memory card or the max drive you highligh the mempry card and press :square: to format it. :)

P.S this also happened to me when i first got the max drive :)mad: ) and i lost everything :( It happened because you deleted stuff using the max drive disk DONT DO THIS AS IT COCKS UP YOUR MEMORY CARD. Delete thing using the ps2 browser. Guess you learnt it the hard way :D

It worked!!! Thank you so much! I was on the verge of buying a new memory card there. I've learned my lesson now, don't delete stuff using the Max drive browser thingy!!!

Cheers.

This is my problem: I've downloaded a Save File from the Codejunkies site. It's a .zip file. How do I get it on my XBOX Max Drive?

First you unzip the file using Winzip on your pc and then you copy it onto your max drive. Then you transfer it onto the xbox (I'm not sure how as I only use the ps2 version).
