how do you get the zip file into a max file?

You need to open the folder then bring up the maxdrive window and the folder together so there on the same page then simply move the file across to the maxdrive then heypresto ;) ! option file obtained :D

Remember to uncrush the file to your memory card (do not copy).;)

if you don't understand this short explanation let me know it's just short because im eating my dinner:)

when i put my max drive into the ps2 it took a couple of seconds to pop up so make sure you give it time.

If this is not the problem then make sure you copy it across to the maxDrive, I think you press ctrl + shift when moving it to copy.

Im not 100% sure as i have it set to copy everything i move across;)

If your still having problems after this set up your computer to automatically copy files you move then it should definetly work;)

Try this:

Copy the zip folder onto your desktop.
Double click on the zip file. You should see a window containing the max file. Copy this max file and paste it to your desktop. Now you can delete the zip file.
Copy the max file and paste it into your max drive. The file should now be visible when you plug it into the ps2.

Just got my max drive today after accidently ordering it off play.com when ordering fm2006.;)

I was trying to convert my pes5 replays onto my computer which i did do, but not sure how i upload them, any help ?

Right, next, i read in a thread that you should format your primary device which was my memory card, i did this but when i reopened it all my data was lost:(:crymore: No worries though as i only had like 5 replays but spent like a week creating my option file. I downloaded one from pesfan which is pretty good.

Right so i'v heard you can but also heard you cannot upload goals;)
So for clarification, can i or can't i ?
If i can, how ?
Feckin device, i hate these things:realmad:

Cheers in advance:)

You do know what the word "FORMAT" means right? It means to delete/wipe everything off something. Always save your files regularly so you have backups in case you do something silly or there is a malfunction somewhere.

To upload a file, zip it up and then just upload it to a site like megaupload.com or yousendit.com

Ok is there any possible way i can move the V1.SPL strips onto my V2 option file using Max Drive without distrupting the stats and stuff as they are both rather different files although the strips are fine.

I have 2 Meomory cards aswell so any1 know how i go about this?

I'm waiting for my max-drive that i ordered a couple of days ago, but since i don't want to have problems when I get it, I have some question:

1. I just have one memory card, I have read that you have to format your MC, but since I don't want to loose my saved files, Can I use the Max-drive to transfer my saves from the MC to my PC without corrupting my saves in order to then format my MC to transfer Option Files?

Thanks in advance.

You do NOT have to format your memory card. It is just an available option that wipes the card in one go rather than you having to select each file and deleting them one at a time.

Yes you can save all of your files onto your PC before formatting if you wish. And please do backup all of your files regularly so that if anything bad happens (such as a power cut or you turning off the ps2 while it is saving your ML) then you have a backup which saves you having to start all over again.

:)

Then why do I read people having trouble with corrupted files? And do I need have the PS2 software in the PS2 tray in order to tranfer my MC files to the max-drive?

Thanks Zig

It's because some people rush into using new hardware without reading the instructions first or knowing what the word "format" means, which happens a lot.

Yes this disk is the key to everything so take care of it as you can't make a backup of it.

Greetings.

According to play.com, the Max Drive will only work on UK:pAL PS2.

My console is NTSC:J but equipped with a modchip. Will it work?

There is a different device that works on US PS2s, as posted somewhere earlier in this thread. Not sure which one you'd need for a NTSC:J one.
