This is the best one yet. Raiden looks completely bad ass. Hope this is not a PS3 exclusive though. MGS is the only series i'd buy a PS3 for, but MGS4 was a bit shite, so i got a 360 instead.

Yes it's finally happening, Kojima just announced that the MGS franchise is coming to xbox 360, the game from the trailer will feature you playing as Raiden.

I don't think it's exclusive. Pretty big news though. MS have pretty much got all the major franchises to go multiplat.

No Snake. The MS rep said something like "We can't wait to play as Snake in the next instalment of the Metal Gear franchise" and Kojima said "Who said anything about playing as Snake?"

June 1, 2009 - Kojima took the stage at Microsoft's press conference and dropped a major announcement:

Remember all those teasers we saw over the past month? It wasn't the new PSP game. It was, in fact, a completely new series in the Metal Gear franchise.

Titled Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the game appears to mainly focus on the character Raiden, as there were no shots of Solid Snake at all in the extremely vague announcement teaser shown.

While this news comes at the Microsoft presser, no announcements of exclusivity were revealed, so for now, expect this to be multiplatform, or a timed-exclusive at the very least.

Update

The game is indeed exclusive to the Xbox 360. Sorry, Sony fans.

IGN deleted the 'exclusive' bit. Microsoft also said last night after their conference that it wouldn't be an exclusive.
