More Difficult Gameplay Level

With every PES game being made, the gameplay is becoming more and more easier, especially Top Player. It is probably down to the fact that as we get older and play the game more, it gets easier and easier.

Maybe bringing back the unlocking of a new level would help, like '6 STARS' in PES5.

PES used to be harder than FIFA and the bigger challenge by a mile. While many may still feel it's a better challenge than EA's offering, it still isn't hard enough and could do with an extra difficulty level.

Certainly having an extra difficulty level wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion. Its something that I was suprised was dropped in PES 2008 and found it good to have a game that beat me a lot until I really got a handle on it... it still happened when I first got PES 2009 but perhaps a harder setting would have challenged me for longer... It would be good, I mean not everyone has to use it but it would be nice to have it there as an option anyway!

Fully agree.. could also be an unlockable item after having won 50 matches at the highest standard level or so.. PES 2009 got really easy after a while.

as an example, I started on a master league with middlesbrough and by the second season I was beating man u 5-2 with a near-stock team (also having sold downing)..pretty unrealistic.

Although now I'm playing with an arsenal master league default team, I still beat man u 5-2 again in my first season in the top division..I think it's also down to those 'soft' goals you said would be gone in this new game, so looking forward to that.

fully agree...top player is not challenging any more for players that have played PES for last couple of years...i mean when you play against AI on top player you are more than 80% confident that you will win but when you play against your mates or online its much much harder...so i think there must be at least one or two additional difficulties or make top player difficulty harder than ever...if you compare top player on PES its about the same as amateur on FIFA.

I remember reading that it took play testers 3 games to score - this reminds me of the old school PES. Took a few games to get used to. Could be an indication of it being more difficult than 08-09

I hope that the konami programmers do not achieve this higher difficulty by making all the AI teams run faster and faster, and making my player unable to pass the ball to a man 10m away, while both are standing still.

I hope the reason why the testers could not score was not because konami has changed the controller settings so that now the shooting, passing, and sprinting controls are all integrated into the d-pad, for our convenience.

Yeah definitely, it would also bring back the satisfaction in scoring the simple goals I reckon.

Yeah but that happens with every game. You play it for a while, then get used to it, and then it becomes easy. So unless they introduce an adaptable (easier said than done) AI model, it will get easy just like the rest of the PES's have.
